Part 3

Nidhi was sitting in the living room, wearing a yellow kurti with white embroidery and a churidar pajama. The dupatta was nicely drapped around her neck as she was sitting with baba and dadi bua sharing a cup of tea. She was exhausted from the day and above that, Dr.Ranganath called and informed her that she had to accompany on a medical camp to a nearby village.

Her eyes were closing due to sleep but before she go to bed, she wanted to spend some time with baba and dadi bua as who knows how long that medical camp is gonna be.

Solanki Uncle and Shayama Aunty too joined them later and they all decided to play two rounds of Carrom in teams and bet that whoever will loss, will treat other with ice-cream

"Nahi Bhai Saheb...Ice-cream se tau inhain dor he rakhain...inhay tau mauqa chahiye hota hai k kuch meetha khanay ko millay" Shayama aunty cancelled the bet on the account of Solanki's uncle health as he made a grumpy face

"Shayama, kabhi kabar tau chalta hai" He tried to say

"nahin Solanki, Abhi parsoon tau ne jalebi kha k bhi yeh dialogue bola tha" CV exposed the secret and then bit his tongue between the teeth on seeing Shayama aunty glaring at Solanki uncle.

"Bhai Saheb, app bhi inh k saath mill jatay hain...app tau army main thay...kam se kam app tau rules follow karwaya karain inhain" Shayama complained.

Nidhi who was listening to all this quietly spoke up finally. "Ok Ok...Jhagra khatam karain or game shuru kyun ke mujhe kal subah saweray nikalna bhi hai aik medical camp k liye...Shyama aunty, no ice-cream...Hum soup ki bet lagatay hain...Theek hai" Nidhi speed up the time to start the game and Solanki uncle made a bad face

"Phir tau tum dono baad beti he jeet jao..." He said and all smile...

"Ok tum log khelo...Main itni dair main Nidhi ka saman pack kar deti hoon...haan" Dadi bua said and left for her room...

They all played in group. Nidhi and CV in one team and Shayama and Solanki Uncle in one team. They all missed anji as before she used to be Solanki uncle's partner in the game. Shayama was lil naive in the game but just like a true lawyer arguments work on the judge, her strikes were working exactly in the same way putting the coins in the pockets. Solanki uncle was playing half-heartedly barely putting a coin in the pockets, not having any wishes to win the game but against his wishes and Shayama aunty correct angles, they won the first game. CV sigh and Nidhi clapped and hugged Shayama...

Soon DB too came out and sit on the sofa in the back to look at the game. They were in between the 2nd game when Nidhi's mobile flashed. She picked that up as CV was trying his luck with striker at the moment.

"Apna saman pack karo...Main tumhain leyna aa raha hoon..." She read and the smiled vanished from her face..

Shayama aunty was the first one who noticed Nidhi's expression and then saw her looking intently in her mobile

"Kia howa Nidhi?" She asked holding Nidhi from her arm

Nidhi jerked and looked up as now all eyes were stuck on her face

"Dr.Ashutosh mujhe leynay aa rahay hain" She replied seriously. Shayama aunty smiled as well as CV, DB and Solanki uncle...

CV was having a look of relief as he said "Yeh tau bohut acchi baat hai"

Nidhi head jerked up to see his face but didn't dare say anything but CV understood what she must have took the meaning of his words and get up and giving Nidhi a last look, leave the room.

"Arre, yeh tau bohut hi acchi baat hai...haan...Kissi na kissi ko tau pehel karni thi na...Accha hai Accha hai...Doctor khud aa raha hai" Dadi bua said as Nidhi felt uneasy with the remarks given by Dadi bua

"Excuse me" She hurridly get up and left for the room...

DB as ever don't wanna notice Nidhi's trauma but Shayama did. She always treated Nidhi as Anji...and Right now, She need to talk to her...

Nidhi get into her room and throw her phone angrily on the bed...

"Kia main itna bojh ban gaye hoon baba pe...dadi bua pe...k mere janay ki khabar pe itna khush ho rahay hain wo..." Nidhi mummbled pacing in her room.

"Dr.Ashutosh ko aj kaise khayal aa gaya mujhe ghar le k janay ka...Poora din tau itna rudely behave karte rahay...Or abh achanak...ye tak nahin poocha k main ghar jana chahti hoon k nahin...bus message kar diya...Tayar raho...Saman pack karo...Main aa raha hoon...No more discussion" She immitated Ashutosh in the end and in anger, sit down on the edge of the bed

"Nidhi" Hearing Shayama aunty voice, Nidhi quickly get up to see her standing in the door...

"kia main ander aa sakti hoon beta" She asked as ever in a soft motherly tone

"Apko ander anay k liye...Pochne ki zaroorat nahin aunty" Nidhi replied as Shayama come inside and stand in front of her...

"Nidhi, beta main janti hoon k mujhe tumhain kuch samjhanay ki zaroorat nahin hai...tum mature ho, samjhdar ho...apna accha bura soch samjh sakti ho...meray liye tum hamesha aise hi ho jaise anji" Nidhi smiled and hold shayama's hand in hers in a sweet grasp

"Aunty...app ne hamesha mujhe support kia hai...or apke hotay mujhe kabhi apni ma ki kami mehsoos nahin howi" Nidhi agreed with her words

"Phir beta main bus tumhain aik maa ki tarhan kuch batanay aye hoon...Tumhain abhi apne baba ka bartao galat lag raha ho ga...tum yehi soch rahi ho gi k bhai saheb ka, Dr.Ashutosh ka tumhain ghar le janay ki baat pe jo rad-e-amal tha wo yeh sabit karta hai k jaise tum unh pe boojh ho..." Shayama looked at Nidhi's down face which proved her right

"Par beta, jiss pita nay tumhain itnay saal pala...tumhari har khushi ka khayal rakha...tumhain hamesha takleefon se dour rakhne ki koshish ki...wo bhala tumhain bojh kaise samjh sakte hain..." Nidhi looked up at shayama as her eyes got teary with the thought that she doubt her father for an unknown reason

"Beta, aik baap k liye beti kabhi bojh nahin hoti...Kia bhai saheb ne tumhain yahan anay k baad aik bar bhi kaha k tum apne ghar laut jao...k wohi tumhara ghar hai..." As Nidhi nod in No, Shayama took her hand in a tight grasp and said in her ever so gentle tone

"Wo aisa kabhi kahain gay bhi nahin...Par beta, jab beti apnay ghar khush ho tau aik baap k liye iss se zyada khushi ki baat or koi nahin hoti...Likin agar woh beti, rooth k apne maayke aa jaye...tau us baap ko iss duniya se kitni baatain sunni hoti hain...tumhain iska patah bhi nahin hoga..." Shayama continued

"Nidhi...duniya aik admi ko kabhi kuch nahin kehti agar uska ghar toot jaye...chahy wo kitna bhi bura ho...likin aik aurat hamesha se he inh tanoon ka shikar ban jati hai...tumhare baba tumhain kuch nahin kehte or na kabhi kaheen gay likin shayad tumne dehyaan nahin dia k unhoon nay aj kal morning walk pe jana choor diya hai" And that was enough to light the bulb in Nidhi's mind...

No matter how modern you get, some backward people still behave in the way as in back ages...and Nidhi was so lost in her grief to even think what her baba must be facing ...

Wasn't he the one, who go against the world and manofy dadi bua to get her married to Dr.Ashutosh...Wasn't he the one who always took side with her and her husband whenever someone dare say anything to them...How dare she doubt him

"Beta ghar janay, na janay ka faisla sirf tumhara hoga...or koi iss main kuch nahin kahay ga...likin zara soch samjh k faisla layna" Saying this Shayama came forward and kissed Nidhi on her forehead cupping her face...and left the room...

Nidhi kept looking at the door and taking a step back, still in dazed look...fall on the bed...

"Kia meri wajha se baba ko itna kuch sehna para...Meri aik harkat se baba ko duniya k itnay tanay sun-nay paray" Nidhi thought and felt angry on herself...Baba who never dare let anyone questioned her decisions ever...has to bear the after-effects of her sepeartion from her husband...

She was still lost in thoughts, going over and over with the reality of the world to even noticed the sound of door bell and the chatting went outside.

The dazed expression, the stone eyes, the fear...that's what the look ashutosh registered in his eyes as he came into her room to take her back home...but she didn't noticed him...

He quietly took steps and reached her. Putting his hand on her shoulder he took her name "Nidhi" softly that jerked her out from her trauma and she quickly get up, keeping a safe distance between him and herself that he couldn't reach her...

"Nidhi..." Ashutosh started...he wanted to apologize for his anger, he showed two weeks back...Two Weeks...they were hell of a two weeks he ever bear in the life of his 42 years... But Nidhi wasn't in mood to hear anything...her mind was already working in a great speed that there was no space to let anymore words to enter inside

"App do min rukiye...Mera bag tayar hai...Just kuch cheezain or dalni hain...phir nikalte hain" Ashutosh was hurt by the distance she put between herself and him but for now, he willn't say anything...

They can talk after reaching home, he thought and nodded

"Ok...main bahir wait kar raha haoon" He gave her a last look and come outside from her room

"Koi sawakl nahi...koi argument nahin...just simply...ye kia ho raha hai" Ashutosh thought as he reached the lounge.. He knew that its not gonna be easy to get Nidhi agree to come back home...he was well prepared to go to the extent to apologize from her if that could bring her back home...but this was unexpected...her agreeing that simply

"kia kaha usne?" DB asked in a excited tone...

Ashutosh put his one hand in her pant pocket and said softly

"Wo ghar chalne ko tayar hai Dadi bua...aa rahi hai" Ashutosh explained and dadi bua said thanx to the God...

CV pat his back...and Solanki and Shayama smiled...

Soon nidhi came out with her ralling bag, pushing her hairs behind which were coming on her fcae... Ashutosh quickly move forward and took hold of the bag from her and she gave in without any words...

She came to CV and bend down to take his blessings...CV stopped her in the middle and hugged his princess and kissed her forehead.

Solanki uncle and Shayama aunty also blessed her and when she came to dadi bua, she hugged her and cupped her face...

"Meri betiya ko apne ghar dheer sari khusiyaan milain...koi dukh bhi uske ass pass na mandlaye..." she also kissed her forehead and giving everyone a strched lips smile, Nidhi moved towards the door while ashutosh also bid everyone bye and followed her out...

do comment how you felt about this part...I really wanna show ashu manofying Nidhi but i thought this is a better way to bring LOG in and the way they gonna treat this situation
