Should Bollywood Bother making Sequels?

Itz becuzz then itz means that producers and directors dont have any new story...sequelss r boringg...so i will prefer that they think of a new and fresh story that audience will like itt like Kank...itz was a really unique story that people didnt really heard of itt in bollywood today...but some sequelss r hit like krrish...i only liked the ending of krrish...itz was different....i had many expectations frm PHP...but itz wasnt funnier than hera pheri...Hera pheri was way better

Actually I realy like the idea of sequels, they are just bringing a second chapter of what happened next when the first film ended....but only some movies should have sequels I think both Krrish and PHP lived up to the expectation and Krrish is the biggest grosser of 2006 and even Dhoom 2 i think will turn out to be good...so I dont really think sequels are that much of a bad idea but remakes are...when ppl make remakes of classicial film they just lose the touch and end up making a stupid film...buh i am still lokin forward to Don....well thatz my answer and sorry i went a little off track....anywayz great topic

well i think that sequels will only be made if there is a need for there to be one i mean in my opinion if krissh had a differenct cast it woould not have done so well its cause of the actors/ress that it did well the overall stroyline was a total flop in my opinion and there was no need to make phir hera pheri but in the case of dhoom 2 i think this will do well

I don't really mind sequeals but sometimes they can be very boring but so far the sequels that have come out like Hera Pheri's and Krrish have been very good, well I thought they were really good as well they were just as good or better. I think with Bollywood sequeals you enjoy the film more with the original characters which is why I enjoyed Krrish and PHP a lot. The thing with directors is that they think as the 1st film is a hit the 2nd one will also be a hit and so do not work as hard but that is not entirely true. Sequeals really depend on how the movie ended as that decides whether it is good/bad to do sequels, i mean sum sequeals are just more of like Laga Raho Munna Bhai and are like jamesbond sequels where the charcters are same - munna & circuit but different situation 😆

So i think sequeals are good but it all depends on the 1st film's ending really 😊

Dhoom 2 will prob be a good film

Also, sequels arent just a copy of the first film, they have their own story in a way.
And classic remakes, even though they are a story repeated, I still think they are interesting, especially Don, by the look of the trailers

me too agree there must be sequels only when its required, for krish it's ok as it's show the important of the miraculous touch by the 'jadoo' to hritihk whereas for phir hera...n munna bhai i don't think it's necessary or just for laughing 😆 😆

i dont like the sequels as they never repeat the heriones in them it is quite unfair. like Esha is not in dhoom 2 and gracy not in muna bhai 2.

I don't really mind, i would prefer if they made original stories but its ok if they have sequels.

If they make sequels its ok with me, but I prefer them to make the 2nd one more exciting or go beyond, usually for me I find the originals better than the sequels but it depends on the storyline, like for Krrish, I didn't enjoy the movie, it didnt appeal to me that much, but in the second half with hrithik's dad now that was nice, it was interesting. Phir Hera Pheri was disappointing, it was funny at parts but I thought it could have been better, like Hera Pheri was hilarious, it really depends on the story, if the sequel is bigger and better and unique then i'll enjoy it, like Don, Dhoom 2 and Lage Raho Munnabhai look interesting from the promos. Sequels are nice to do, but mostly i prefer that they don't make too many sequels.
