Shot in the dark
Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai shot a thrilling tunnel sequence for Dhoom 2
Where there's secrecy, there's also a lot of speculation, like in the case of Sanjay Gadhvi's Dhoom 2. But we happened to go behind the scenes and catch a sneak peak of the climax sequence.
In the climax sequence Ash has worn a black catsuit in the film with dark goggles and open hair in the climax sequence. Was Angelina Jolie the inspiration behind her look? " I would not like to comment about these details yet," says Gadhvi. "Ash has lots of guts. She has done some awesome stunts in the film. Ash did power yoga for two months and has a perfectly toned up body which is why she could carry off the costumes she has worn in this film so well. Ash, Abhishek, Hrithik, Uday, Bipasha are all good friends. In fact Abhishek , Hrithik and Uday are childhood friends so they had a blast shooting for the film."
Recently the climax sequence of the film was shot in a tunnel in film city. According to sources stunt choreographer Alan Amin has designed difficult stunts. One of which involves a chase sequence in the tunnel and also blowing up helicopters. Gadhvi refrains from commenting of these aspects but says, "The main part of the action climax was shot in Durban, South Africa. The tunnel sequence was shot in Filmcity as the inside of a tunnel looks the same everywhere."
Talking about the film, Gadhvi says, "Dhoom 2 is bigger, better and more expensive than Dhoom. The action sequences are faster and more furious in Dhoom 2."
Gadhvi has given Hrithik an entirely new look in the film. Hrithik's hair is colored almost blonde and he looks lethal. Gadhvi says, "The brief given to me by the producers was that Hrithik should look very hot, sexy and cool in the film. We stuck to the brief and put some great hairstylists on the job." Has he wrapped up the film? "Almost, says Gadhvi. "Except a song which will require a week of shooting, everything is done."
