"You are joking right?"
"No!I am absolutely serious!!" Sasha was adamant.
Geet burst out laughing.The girls in the canteen table were having fun during lunch time & the hot topic for discussion:Maan Singh Khurana.Many of them gossiped that he was looking more hotter that day. But Sasha & Geet were debating on some other aspect of MSK.
Geet was still laughing.She tried to control her laughter but she failed.Sasha was ruefully looking at her.Pinky didn't know whose side to take.
"Geet!Listen to me!" Sasha demanded,"I have learned psychology & I know a lot about human behaviour!!"
"So you really mean to say that a person like MSK are passionate lovers???I mean really???" Geet still laughed.
"Yes!!!!I am telling you,MSK would never ever be a boring lover,if at all he falls in love!!"
Geet knew that Sasha was mistaken there.But she couldn't tell her about Dia & Maan.
"Oh really???You know what I just--" Geet somehow controlled her laugh & said,"I just cannot imagine Maan Sir saying deadly romantic lines to someone!So that's why 'boring lover'!Pinky,make Sasha understand that!" said Geet,turning to Pinky.
"Sasha is right yaar!" said Pinky,"Abhi tu hi dekh Geet,Maan Sir is so passionate about work,you only told!So he would surely love someone possessively!!"
"I don't know what's the problem with you guys!!" Geet said with an air of being left alone.
"Geet!" Sasha got up from her seat,"I am challenging you,the day when MSK falls for a girl,it will be reflected on his face, & I will be the first person to tell you that!!!!"
Sasha said it with so much confidence which forced Geet to accept defeat.
"I give up! happy?" that's all she had to say.
"I wish I would be the girl!" said one of the other girls.Hearing that,Geet again started laughing.
"Kya kismat hai meri,my sister interests herself in astrology while my friend turns to be a lover of psychology!!!"

The lunch break got over & all of them returned to work.Geet & Sasha were talking standing near the reception & so were some of the other employees in the office.When Maan came there & saw that the employees had not yet settled to their work,he did not like it at all.His eyes fell on Geet.She had failed to acknowledge Maan's presence.He unconsciously kept staring at her for a few seconds.Time & again,he saw her putting the strands of her hair,which had come on her face,behind her ears.His mind ceased to think what was so great in her doing that!.It was only when Adi had come upto him,than the trance was broken.
"Everybody!!,get back to work!!!! & Sasha,come to my cabin right now!"announced Maan which was successful in bringing back the serious faces back in all.
"Yes Sir" replied Sasha.
Geet saw him retreating.She immediately followed him.
"Sir Sir Sir" she called out.
Maan did not pay any heed & kept walking.Geet finally caught pace with him.
"Maan Sir!!I have completed those case studies which you had given me!!"
"So?"
"Have you seen it?"
"Yes."
"There are no errors,I am sure of it!!"
"Yes."
"So don't you have anything to say about it?" she asked with slight disappointment.
"No."
"But why???I have proved my capability.I am not as dumb as you think of me to be!!!!"
Maan did not reply.He kept walking & Geet lost pace with him every now & then.
"Maan Sir!!!You ought to appreciate me for my hard work!!!"
"I don't think so." he said plainly.
"Why???Just because I have proved you wrong??"she retorted,"Don't you know employee motivation is very necessary for running business successfully????"
Maan stopped all of a sudden which startled Geet to a certain extent.He turned around & faced her.
"You are irritating me Geet!!!!" he said roughly.
"You are unfair!!!!"
He advanced towards her with rueful steps.Geet stammered & began to move backwards but Maan grabbed her by her arm & stopped her.
"You don't have to tell me what is fair & unfair!!And as far as motivation is concerned,appreciation unhe milta hai who have scope for improvement,which you don't!!!"
"You can't--"
"I have not finished my say!!I had given you two hours to complete your work & you took four!!So I guess your queries answered there!!!"
He had gone way too close to her.She stared at him with complete disapproval.Every conversation between them always culiminated into a rude argument.
"Your to-be fiancee wouldn't like to see us in this manner!" she said disdainfully.
Maan released her
"I did not tell you to follow me! & if you want to survive in KC,improve your efficiency level!!! & don't bring Dia into everything!!!"
He went inside his cabin leaving Geet at a loss for expressions.

Maan was in his cabin standing at the window of his high-rise office building.'to-be fiancee' that's what Geet refers to Dia while talking to him.He reflected that, that phrase did not bore any impression on his mind & heart as well...
FLASHBACK
1 week ago...
Dadima was checking the accounts of Khurana Constructions with Maan standing beside her.
"Maan bete,I'm impressed.Our profit turnover is fantastic.Good work!"
"Thank you dadima."
"Well.." she said while handing back the files to Maan,"Now it's time for you to florish in your personal life too."
"I did not get you Dadima."
"Dia's parents will be coming here next week,we will be talking about your & Dia's engagement!!!" exclaimed Dadima happily.
"Alright Dadima."
He did not say anything else & prepared to leave.Dadima noticed his peculiar behaviour & called out.
"Maan,aren't you happy?You love Dia,hai na?"
Maan stalled & turned around facing her,"Dia is a very nice & sweet girl,I have full faith on your choice & I am absolutely sure she is the perfect girl to be the Khurana bahu."
"and life-partner?"
Maan did not answer.
"Love changes everything,right?But this is not the case with you.You have still enclosed yourself in a nutshell.You never smile,always a stolid face.."
"It's nothing like that.I assure you."
They couldn't talk more as Maan received an urgent call & he left.
END OF FLASHBACK
Maan recollected everything clearly
"Main Dia se pyaar nahi karta.Perhaps because love is alien to me after whatever had happened...I don't believe in love!!!!"

Geet was in a bad mood She was walking with heavy steps.
"Maan Sir is sachhi mein Dust Danav!!!And yes Geet,it's your fault!!!You know he is very rude.Kya zazurat thi to go & ask him about the file!!!!!Lekin nahi,it was a complusion for him na!!!"
She stamped her foot.
"Aree where is Sasha??" pondered Geet as she walked into Sasha's cabin.She decided to wait for her till she came.
After a few minutes of waiting when Sasha did not arrive.Geet was about to go from there when just then the phone rang behind her.Geet hesitated to pick up but thinking that it could be an important call which was not to be missed,she picked the receiver.
"Hello?"
The person on the other side side seemed to be one of the clients.Geet deduced that he was in some airport.He seemed to be giving some details regarding some blueprint or something which was supposed to be written,Geet noticed a pen & a paper tucked under the phone.She began to jot down what was being said.She couldn't make head or tail of anything & moreover the person on the other end what dictating at a very fast rate.All said & done,the receiver was finally placed back.
Geet heaved a sigh.It was no less than marathon.She stared wide-eyed at the paper on which she had written
"O...kay?I literally don't know what is it all about but I know that whatever I have written can be understood by no one except me!!!"
Her handwriting was at it's worst.Preet had many a time commented that she should improve her writing but Geet least cared!
Geet was about to go just when Sasha hurriedly came there.
"Geet!What are you doing over hear?"
Geet told her about the phone call.Sasha was stunned to the core hearing that.
"K-Kya!!!!!!!Oh God!!!You picked it up??What did he say??" Sasha panicked.Even before Geet could answer,Sasha noticed the paper in her hand.
"What's in this paper??"
Geet gave it to her,"It's whatever he said to me!"
"What have you written???I can't understand a word!!!!!" she cried in disbelief.
"I know that!" Geet sighed.
Sasha was still in shock, "That was Mr Shukla,one of our important clients,whom you have spoken to.Maan Sir had told me to take down these points as I am going to assist Maan Sir in this project.I waited for one hour for this phone call & just when I went out,the call came!!!!!!!!" Sasha was frustated, "Geet!!What shall I say to Maan Sir,he will be very angry..and...perhaps I will lose the opportunity to work with him...& even I will lose my promotion..."
"Chill!!!Don't worry.There are only three pages.I will dictate to you again.You write it properly.Simple."
Sasha was at relief.It was possible.But their happiness was short-lived as Sasha was immediately called to Maan's cabin.Sasha looked nervously at Geet.

"Sasha!!!!!What's all this???Where were you when Mr Shukla had called up???And why has Geet done your work????!!!!!!"Maan asked in a loud voice.
Sasha & Geet did not dare to look at him,let alone answer his queries.
Maan glanced the pages on which Geet had written.Seeing her handwriting,he balefully looked at her.
"S-Sir.." Geet made an attempt to speak out some words,"W-Woh...Mr Shukla said that,he wants the project to start right away...so he & his associates are coming here tomorrow morning for the presentation."
No sooner did she finish her say,than she could sense two pairs of shocked eyes staring at her as if she had said something criminal.
"What the heck are you saying!!!!They were supposed to come two days later!!!" exclaimed Maan.
"Let me call Mr Shukla.." said Sasha & she was almost going to dial the number when Geet said
"He along with business partners are boarding a flight which will land after three hours.."
And Indeed the phone was coming switched off...Geet realized that she had given a spree of shocks to the two people present there.
Maan did not panic at all as it would not help him in any way.
"We can't wait for three hours.If the presentation is tomorrow,then there is very little time left!!!"
He thought for a few minutes.Though he arrived at a solution,it was quite evident,he was very reluctant of it but he had no other choice.
"Geet!!!" he called out all of a sudden.
"Y-Yes Sir" she replied,unsurely.
"I don't expect anything from you except that you will be able to understand your own writing!!"
"I can understand my writing!!!!"she said in a slightly stern voice.
"Toh Thik hai!!!you are doing the blueprint with me in place of Sasha & that too tonight in office as tomorrow morning we have to present!!!! "
Sasha & Geet both were dumbfounded hearing that. Sasha left from there,dejected
"But Sir I--"
"It's final Geet!!!!!Stay back after the office hours,it's important & you know that!!!!You may go now!!!!!!"
Geet walked out of the cabin.Each moment of her life was becoming unpredictable day by day.She was totally shocked.She cursed herself for picking up the phone,she cursed her handwriting & every possble things related to it!!
"One more night with Dust Danav Maan Singh Khurana!!!"
She mumbled helplessly...
