he made the mistake of assuming no one would notice he copied a para forgetting he is a celebrated journalist
reminds me of James Fry but on a very minor scale
Richard Quest and Octavia Nasr also had some trouble
Richard got rehabiliated after his drug abuse but she was dismissed for being forthright so journalistic standards also have bias and i dont mean gender more to do with popular political thinking
Coming close on the heels of Fareed Zakaria's admission of guilt, Harvard's repute suffered a double whammy of sorts.. Since he was in news recently, I went through the article and half way through, crazy as it may sound, I recalled the scene at GH where bua ji was facing difficulty in getting the Harvard pronunciation right.
And then it hit me..and I laughed..ASR jaise tees maar khan Harvard ke graduates reh chuke hai...yeh toh hona hi tha..rather..samjho ho hi gaya😆
And in the very next instant I put the ad and the article together and as you can imagine , much to my dad's chagrin I had accidentally spilled my chai and was suppressing my laughter unsuccessfully..
Endless permutations and combinations presented themselves and danced before my eyes..I just had to relinquish the paper to my dad ( oh ! its a power struggle each mrng..on who gets the main sheet first) and rush to the sink so I could get the stains off my PJ's...
