Samir and Ekta always at loggerheads over creative issues
Samir Soni aka Kunal of "Parichay" treads the path, where no actor dares to go even in his wildest dreams. Getting into an argument with the television czarina, Ekta Kapoor, famous for her foul mood swings. Though the arguments are purely creative and for the betterment of the show, Samir does not think twice before getting into one with her.
Samir takes the liberty of getting into fights with her as he knows, Ekta, is a person with a clean heart and his arguments will be taken in the right spirit by her. Also the fact that, Ekta is a very good friend of his wife, Neelam, which adds to his boldness. Though at the end of the day, Samir ultimately has to surrender to Ekta's point of view.
Both, Samir and Ekta are equally passionate as far as the work is concerned and the topic of arguments centers around logic and emotions. For Ekta, it is emotions that take an upper hand, while for Samir, the emotions also has to have logic.
But finally Samir, who considers Ekta, as his kid sister, gives in to her word. Because relations apart, Ekta is also the boss, and as per the saying goes, the boss is always right.
