Part 2-
After dropping Richa off Kunal walked down the road, his mind reflecting on what he had just seen. Siddhi looked so different...Confident...beautiful as always...
Who was the man she was with? He refused to acknowledge the fact that she had forgotten him...The way her eyes meet his...with a longing in the them that only he could understand as he too felt the same way.
His mind went back to the last time he saw Siddhi...Outside court.
'Siddhi...What are you doing?' He asked in a loud voice...'why are you being like this?'
'Kunal- I couldnt be a good lawyer, daughter in law or wife right? Thats why you want to divorce me???' She asked...
'Siddhi...woh mein...You are a good lawyer, a good daughter in law and wife...but...'
'But what' She exclaimed 'Why do you want me to leave you?'
He couldnt even look in her eyes, She took a deep breath...'kunal I love you...with all my heart but if you dont love me then what is the point?
'I know you love me too...But if you cant admit it then Im going...away from you...forever'
With that she walked away and he did nothing to stop her...nothing...
He sighed as he remembered what happened...It was all his fault...he should have told her then he loved her, but he couldnt forget that she was his dead brothers wife. How could he start his family life with that burden?
Seema had told him so many times there was nothing wrong in falling in love with his wife...Anand would be happy for them both.
By the time he'd understood that it was too late...Siddhi had left. He had tried to look for her but hadnt had any luck. And now that he had found her...she was with someone else...And he was Richa... He had to meet her, and ask her why? and explain himself...
Siddhi looked outside the window, it was raining...She simled as she remember the time Kunal and her stayed in rain and got wet together...With his strong arms around her waist and her head leaning on his chest...
What had changed? She knew he loved her, but he did not have the courage to admit it...It was a pure love they shared...
She came back to find him 6 months after the court incident, Seema had told her that he had admitted he had made a mistake in trying to separate himself from her...
She found him and Richa...He was smiling...Much like his old self...Well Richa was his first love.
She decided then not to get back into his life...Maybe it was for the best.
She would meet him tomorrow...she had to...She wanted to know how could he have forgotten her so quickly...
The next day...
As they walked towards each other, Kunal felt taller more manly. It was something that only Siddhi could bring out in him...this emotion to protect her and hug her and shield her away from the big bad world...but as she walked towards him he had sensed a change...This Siddhi was more confident, more sure of herself...a woman...
'siddhi...'He said as he went to hug her, He grabbed her tight around her shoulders and pulled her towards him...She felt so small in his arms...He felt her arms close around his back and it was then he let out his breath. His arms moved around her back and he moved his head down towards her neck...breathing in her smell...As he moved his head Siddhi looked up. Their eyes met and their lips were close...'Kunal...' She sighed and let go of him.
Kunal and Siddhi sat in an tense silence...not wanting to admit what had nearly happened. After 9 years the passion, love and attraction was still there. It was evident...Their love had not decreased even after all these years.
'why didnt you come back? I looked everywhere for you' He said
'I did...A few months later...You were with Richa...well you're still with Richa' She replied looking straight at him.
Kunal kept his eyes on the floor, aware of her piercing gaze on his face.
'I love you, So much...I just couldnt accept that I had fallen in love with my dead brother wife...By the time I knew there was nothing wrong with it, you were long gone and I couldnt find you.
Richa...she is just a friend...she will only ever be a friend...Its always been you' He looked straight at her, his gaze piercing through her heart.
She felt her breath stop...
'Abhay has been good to me, He supported me in my time of need...He knows about you and he knows Im here now. I still love you but...We need to take some time...
With his gaze still on her he took her hand in his and pulled it towards his chest. 'Ive waited all this time for you...I would have waited a lifetime...'
She smiled as he pulled her towards him and kissed her head. They stayed like that for a while...Unaware that they were being watched...
