Now I don't only have to think about Naksh but Chikki too. So I always plan outings where Naksh as well as Chikki can enjoy together. During monsoons, I avoid taking Naksh out of the house, also Chikki has started with her school, so Naitik and I try to do fun things with the kids on weekends. We play indoor games like treasure hunt, scrabble or ludo with Chikki. She has a lot of fun playing these games. Playing interesting indoor games is a good option to entertain your kids.

Chotu is a very smart and adorable kid. Being the youngest member of our family, we have to restrict him from spending too much time outdoors. Whenever its rains, we don't let him go out as he tends to get sick afterwards. Chotu likes to cook and so I try and teach him how to make a new dish. You can spend some quality time with kids by teaching them cooking or any other activity they are interested in like gardening, sewing etc.

During the rains, it's difficult to take Ananya out to the park. So, instead Akshara brings Naksh and Chikki to our home and all the kids play together. If it is not raining, then we take all the kids to the park. It's really important to let kids mingle and play with other kids as it helps in developing their confidence.

I am very protective of Chinki as she has been through a lot in life. So I try to spend time with her by taking her out to a park or for an ice cream. But sometimes I am not able to take her out. When we are at home, I try and get Chinki to solve puzzles or play indoor games with her. I also get her a lot of story books and educational CD's, so that she can enjoy watching them.
These are few tips from our STAR Plus parents on how to spend some quality time with your kids, without worrying about them getting sick in the monsoons.
