He is the hottest star on Indian television now. Audiences and the industry raved about this new comer. He won the best actor TV critics award and his debut serial Siddhant won the best serial-drama award. What more can one expect from a rank new-comer just taking his first step in Tinseltown?

Married to his childhood buddy Yukti, a fashion designer, the couple have a one and half year old son. Shaaditimes caught up with this most wanted actor to know more about him.

Crush: My first crush was my wife. I was 10 years old and she was just 7. We were childhood buddies and played table tennis together.
Date: I can still remember the date, 31st December 1986. It was my first date with none other than my wife. At the Indira Gandhi stadium we had a Table Tennis India Club programme and I danced with her.
Proposal: I was 25 years old. It was then that I first proposed to my wife.
Rejection: When I first proposed to my wife she rejected me. Then after 6 years my wife proposed to me. In between we lost touch and then through a common friend we met again.

Book: I am not much into reading. But I used to enjoy reading Mills & Boons. My all-time favourite book is Gone with the wind .
Film: Mughal-e-Azam
Gift: A surprise birthday party thrown by my wife for me. She had gifted me a collage of our pictures which was very romantic.
Destination: Mahabaleshwar and Australia. I find Goa most romantic because it was our honeymoon destination.

Love: The sea because it soothes me down. Whenever I am confused or disturbed I like to look at the sea. It gives me lot of peace and clarity of mind.
Hate: I hate summers because it gets very hot and I hate to sweat because it takes away a lot of energy.
Fear: I fear nothing, not even death.
Dream: I dream to share the same space on screen with my son after he grows up.

Pick up line: Cannot think of one right now... but a good, sweet and innocent smile is enough.
