Part-4
It was 8pm.the time when all the office-goers were to be at their homes at the end of a busy day but this was not at all the case with Geet.She was seated in a dark cabin facing a computer doing the work which Maan had assigned her.She wore a sulking face & eyes were ruefully looking at the screen while her fingers ruthlessly typed the letter on the keyboard.She was cross with herself on the first place.What on earth prompted her to imagine how would Maan's girlfriend look like?What had she got to do with that? And also Maan had been so cruel to assigning her so much of work on the first day itself with such a short deadline.She was very angry on him.
While Geet was engrossed in work & also her simultaneous rueful thoughts about Maan,her ears heard footsteps approaching the cabin where she was seated. She was a bit petrified
"W-Who's there...??" she asked unsurely seeing a figure at the door
The figure put on the lights & Geet heaved a sigh of relief.It was Sasha.
"Why are you working in such darkness?" asked Sasha.
"Because my life itself has become dark." sighed Geet.
"Actually,Maan Sir had told me to dump those files which you had watered,I don't understand why then he told you to do it again! "
Geet was shocked hearing that.So that means Maan had purposely told her to do the files so that he could vent out his anger on her!. She was so pissed off discovering that, that she did not utter a word.
"Dust Dust Danav!!!!!!!" that's what she could mumble.
Sasha spoke,"Okay,now don't tell him that I told you,otherwise he will be very cross.Lets go now,Pinky is waiting for us in the PG."
Geet was fuming but she didn't let Sasha know of it & quietly went with her.

Khurana Mansion.
KM was one of the renowned mansions of Delhi as it housed the owner & M.D of Khurana Constrctions.It was like a palace & evinced all signs of richness & royalty.
Maan was descending down the staircase when he met his Dadima in the hall.
"Nakul,tell the driver to get the car out,quick!" said Maan.
"Maan bete,where are you going now?" asked Dadima.
"Woh Dadima,I couldn't meet Dia today so have to pay her a visit now" sai Maan plainly.
"So does that mean you are not missing her,it's just a duty for you to meet her everyday,isin't it?"asked Dadima,with her arms folded.
Maan paused for a while & then said without looking at her.
"I don't know what you mean." Saying her,he left from there.
Dadima watched his back disappear.She sighed
"I so wish you forget about the past Maan..."

The PG where Geet had shifted in with Pinky & Sasha was just a stone throw away from Dia's house.So when she & Sasha were passing by Dia's house,they saw her strolling in her balcony.Geet saw that Dia somewhat looked a little bit disturbed.
"Sasha,you go.I will come after some time." said Geet.Sasha left.
"Hey!" called out Geet as she entered the balcony meeting Dia's surprising gaze."I hope I am not intruding your privacy!"
"No.Not at all!You're Geet,if I am not mistaken."
"Yup.I saw that you were a little bit tensed.Is everything alright?"
Dia invited Geet to sit beside her in the swing.Then came her unexpected question.
"Geet,can a man fall madly in love the second time?"
Geet was startled by the sudden question thrown at her."I-I don't know.I think not."she answered but by seeing Dia's more sad face,she quickly corrected her say,"I have no idea!"
"Then he doesn't loves me..."
"Who doesn't loves you?"asked Geet surprised.
"I have not met him since three days since he was out of town for a business deal & today when we were supposed to meet at lunch,he did not turn up & he didn't even call me after that.."
Geet didn't know what to say.She remained silent.It was a love problem,she concluded.
After a few minutes,they heard a car drawing up.Dia at once rushed to see who had come leaving Geet startled by her sudden move.
Dia's eyes lighted up on seeing the arrival.Her face wore a smile as she exclaimed softly,"Maan.."
& quickly descended down the staircase.
"Aree Dia,listen!Who has come??" Geet called out but got no answer in return.
Geet languidly walked a few steps & looked down from the balcony.Her eyes & mouth were left wide open as she saw Maan standing right beneath.
"M-Maan S-Sir!!!!"
And the next second Geet literally saw Dia running into his arms & hugging him!
"So Dia is MSK's girlfriend?????!!!!!"
But Geet had got no time to digest her unexpected discovery as she saw Dia ushering Maan in the house.
"Oh Freak!!! If Maan sees me here then I am dead!Get out of here Geet quickly before he sees you!"she said to herself.
She tiptoed down to the hall & saw them talking.They were not looking at the entrance gate so it
would be easy for Geet to slip outside,provided they don't turn their eyes at her.It was a risk but Geet was in no mood to face Maan's rueful glares.She took a deep breath & took noiseless steps,at times hiding behind walls or the sofas.She finally managed to place her foot outside & heaved a sigh of relief.
"Hush!!!!Thank you Babaji!" Geet exclaimed looking up.
She peeped inside the hall out of curiosity in anticipation of viewing some 'ahem-ahem' stuff but to her disappointment Dia had gone to the kitchen probably to bring juice for Maan.
"Boring love story!!" Geet stamped her foot,"I better go from here!"
But as she took the first step,Geet did not realize that she had knocked a flower pot & the noise itself was enough to alarm Maan.
"OMG!" Geet was almost frozen for a moment.
She again peeped inside & to her horror she saw that Maan had almost walked up to the entrance.She ran the next moment & hid herself behind the nearest pillar.There were curtain flanked either side.She took shelter in one of them.
"Who's there???" Geet heard Maan's sharp voice.He was walking towards the pillar where she hid & she immediately ran from there & took shelter behind the next pillar.But to her bad luck Maan had seen her shadow & was sure that someone was around..
The hide-and-seek continued for a few more seconds after which when Geet peeped to look around her,she could see no one.She was relieved.
"Chalo,he's gone!!Phew!!!"
But the moment she turned around,she was dumfounded seeing Maan right in front of her.
"I-I need to g-go."
But Maan stretched out his hand in front barring her.She looked at him meeting his stolid eyes.
"What are you doing over here & what about the files which I had told you to complete???" he asked sternly.
"Maan w-woh.."
"Maan Sir kaho.I am your Boss!!!!!"
"Fine!!!Maan Sirr!!For your kind info,your girlfriend,whom you love so much, is my landlady-"
Geet stalled in anticipation of some reaction from him.Finding none,she continued.
"-& as far as the files are concerned,I think they were going to be discarded!"
Geet saw that his eyes depicted more ruefulness after hearing that.
"Office jao & do the work which is told to you!!!!!"
"I don't have the world's time to sit & do fruitless work!" she retorted.
"But you do have time to wander at someone else's place,right?" he asked rudely.
" Don't you think two shocks are enough for me to digest in a day?Firstly I came to KC & you turned out to be The MSK & second when my landlady turned out to be your love-interest!Amazing!" she said sarcastically.
"I will do a favour for you.Your resignation letter will be kept at you desk tomorrow morning!!!!!"
"Nope,I don't take favour from anyone.& resignation se yaad aaya,you know your girlfriend was so sad today.You had promised to lunch with her,but you did not come!Where were you??"she paused & added,"Wait a minute,I know where were you!You were busy having a meeting to fire me but bad luck you couldn't!!" she finished with sarcasm.
Maan's face hardened.He advanced towards her making Geet realized that she had yet again crossed her limits.She took steps backward while he moved towards her,his eyes penetrating in her like thorns.She was scared when she sensed a piller behind her.The wind was blowing & the curtains had abruptly covered her face.He came way to closer to her & shoved away the curtains from her face.The white linens inturn fell over them & both were inside it.Geet was too pre-occupied to notice that as Maan's baleful eyes locked into hers.
"Stay away from my personal life & you will definitely be out of KC,today or tomorrow!!!"
Geet felt the roughness of his breath smashing her face.She looked away from him.He glared at her holding very close proximity to her.
Geet had had enough.
"Your girlfiend will really not like it seeing us so close." she said whimsically.
The next moment there was a wide gap between them.Geet continued in a serious tone
"I have nothing to do with your privacy.You have skipped your lunch date because of me & now too you are wasting your time here when you were supposed to be with Dia.I stay over here now,so you will obviously find me around this place."
Maan looked away from her.She almost had a feeling of patting herself of being able to silence him.Geet left & Maan heard Dia's call...

The next day too had it's own seperate set of shocks in store for Geet.She didn't even imagine that her life would turn upside down within two days.First she had to run away from her house & now this!
"Yeh tumne kya kar diya Preet!"
That was all there was left for Geet to exclaim after she read the e-mail from her sister.She decided to read again in hope that the words would change,but it surely didn't.

I know you would blame me after reading this but I have to tell you.My predictions about you were right.The boy's family had come to see you yestarday morning...you were nowhere to be found.Dad was furious...& he at once knew you have run away.He ordered his men to search for you everywhere...in all the neighbouring cities..& Delhi is the closest...so I knew they would search there first...I was worried for you...so..so...I just blurted out that..you already have someone in your life...he asked me who...I didn't know what to say & I knew he was suspicious...God knows why but I just blurted out that it was Maan Singh Khurana...ofcourse Dad doesn't know who he is...
Geet...now you have to bring MSK with you here...otherwise...Dad will get you married to that goon...
I am sorry...But don't you worry,I will do something to get you out of this..

Geet shrunk back in a chair in a state of shock.
"As of now,no one will come searching for me but if something is not done soon,my life will be a disaster..and MSK is just out of question!No way!!!!!!!!So there is only one thing left...when Dad's men come here..I have to run to some other city..."
She calmed down a bit.
