Toolika and Nikhil?

OK, I know this might sound hysterical to some - but I have not watched Elas for over a month now (travelling, etc.) and I just happened to see it two days ago and was rather shocked (or surprised) to see Anu and Nikhil exchange such lovey-dovey words to each other, lol. Now, my question is what happened between Nikhil and Toolika for Anu and Nikhil to get so close. True, Anu had feelings for Nikhil and he tried to suppress his feelings too but he was a guy who respected his marriage vows a lot. So, how come this sudden divorce? What did Toolika do to warrant that? Sorry, if I sound ancient and ignorant here. Thanks in advance
