⭐️ASR's Transition to ARNAV⭐️
So Khushi wanted to present something special to Arnav by proposing a date where she would try & impress him by taking him to a posh restaurant where she could demonstrate that she could dress & act elegantly & was willing to change & move over to his world. BUT things did not work out as she had planned'
Did things work out as the CVs would have liked as well? Was there a cretain spark missing that recently has been an inherent part of the drama. When Arnav first sees Khushi & eyes her from foot upwards - it just did not carry the same romantic emotion- but i think it was more down to the surroundings & settings as oppossed to the acting!!
THE DATE
First there was the arrival on the wrong day- acting like a waiter- unable to recognise the Italian dishes on the menu- mishap with the champagne bottle to name but a few. Arnav is witness to her wheedling her charm on the waiter whilst he looks on with a benevolent expression- almost a sense of pride ' as Khushi persuades him to give them a table. As she succeeds he then proceeds to tolerate her act as the man on the date ' role reversal ' as she pulls the chair out for him at the table- orders the food- & when things start to go wrong, he patiently explains. He tells her that she has no need to act like ASR & that he loves her exactly the way that she is & that there is no need for her to change. We get an acknowledgement that so far the marriage, the rituals & all that follows is purely because he wants to please her & her alone. That is his sole purpose.
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO ASR?
Something that you would not have expected to see ' was it a character assassination? When Khushi got upset when she popped the champagne bottle he realised to placate her he takes on the persona of KSG to try & coax her away from her unhappy meandering thoughts. He does this very well & you see at the ends of this episode the most beatific full throttle smile on his face. The type that have made quite a few appearances in recent times!! After he tenderly wipes the tears off her face - from there then he switches to teasing her & brings things back to some normalcy. This is so far removed from ASR that you kind of rub your eyes & scratch your head?
So what happened to ASR ' after all those times when he was depicted as an unemotional person who we knew had a history steeped in tragedy who through circumstances beyond his control turned him into an autocratic business man who went through life & people without consideration of feeling. Then purely by fate & accident he met this middle class girl who slowly but surely changed him & his views. After some very aggravating circumstances we witness the transition & out emerges this softer side- he has changed for a purpose- the CVs show us why he has changed in this epi through his tolerance & acceptance of Khushi & his insistence that she not change. Was the way that he was portrayed too drastic OR is it the CVs way of showing that the transition of ASR to Arnav is indeed a prelude for some sinister upcoming tracks in the story? What I am trying to say is that we may possibly get ASR back when some part history is revealed ' that which created him in the first place!!!
I know that there have been mixed views on today's episode- to that I would say that today's concept was really good. It was about the fact that despite the fact that Khushi was willing to change & prove a point she was told that she was admired & loved for the person that she was & therefore did not need to. The problem was I think that this was handled too clinically? The restaurant was in the middle of a public placement & there was too much going on all around so that the power of what was going on & the deep meaning message played out was lost completely. There have been so many touching moments between these two protagonists that have been handled so well but this one lost the "sheen" almost like opening a present & being disappointed with the contents. Everything was good i.e. the purpose & intent but I felt that Khushi was not portrayed properly when she was shown as feeling remorse for getting things wrong? Just my opinion!! In fact you know ' it would have been far better if she had taken him on a picnic in the park & then the two of them could have had some really ONE on ONE conversations!!!
Never the less ' I digress After all those months - we were exposed to a history where we know what makes these characters as they are so if we ever met them or if we had to describe them - we would make a pretty good job of it. Along comes this beautiful moment & across this forum there have been mixed reviews. I think the majority of people loved today's episode & yes there was some far fetched moments but that was to optimize THE CHANGE but & I mean BUT you will see the sharp contrast in the character development because I think that circumstances will evolve & thrust ASR back to Arnav's life.
That music BTW when the hissing snake comes on the scene is brilliant & is growing on me!! Think though that there should not have been such an abrupt end to The Date
by just showing us RM - seemed disjointed somehow. It should have shown Arnav dropping Khushi off at her buaji's house & possibly a peck or two on the cheek- a true end to a romantic date. This therefore fizzled out like the champagne bottle that had been left unpoened too long!!
With the upcoming rituals we will get some fantastic moments with these two ' I just hope that its handled delicately & that we get the old magic back from yester year!!
If you get time please comment & let me know what you think of my opinion- at least it helps me to think that I am not the only one going crazy in the IPK world !!😃
