I wouldnt say it was a fantastic episode one which left asking for more, for me it was a episode which was beautifully thought and missed the hit by flick, bcz somehow it looked disjointed, unplanned and hastily put,,,

Anyways the whole time that I thought that it was khushi desire and acceptance to do sumthing for Arnav, and his too..

The episode started with Arnav & Anji and once agn a sister lying, A love which has gone poison, backstabbing you own kin, and no qualams abt it, if you think you really feel bile rising in you with the kind of game anji is playing but a sense of pity for this weak women who is hellbent on commiting a suicide which will result in a massacre of the relations

Arnav arrives at the resturant and hears Khushi's trinkling Payal, in a moment his face lits up looking towards her, A soft smile, his eyes drinking her in, it was done so beautifully,

Once agn a mistake by Khushi and Arnav takes it in stride, infact he wants to return but Khushi being Khushi how can she leave and uses her Lucknowi charm to secure the table, though watching this scene I hit my palm to head more than once, twice or thrice but coudnt stop thinking abt Khushi being khushi without offending anyone or forcing the power of money, by her wit and charm, with mannerism n cheeky words she won the table and the gentleman, the best part here was even before they got the table Arnav had a smile knowing that she had been succesful in getting what she wanted...

The chair pulling by Arnav, reminded me on once a gentleman always a gentleman but aping the same gesture by Khushi had me in splits, will she ever learn,,, but thats Khushi unadultered, pure

and then the whole ordering which turns to be flop show, and yet she desire to do something was no earnest and then the words too that I really wana do sumthing for you were the most genuine and sincere from here heart,,,, one could see her desire that she felt truly wanted and cherished by Arnav and that she wanted to return the favor that he matters to her was the highlight for whole date...

and each moment Arnav was silently a step behind, she wante to do something for him, he lets her at each fumble he calmly collected her, and then he silently silent stepped ahead ahead the spice to her food to make it acceptable to her palate, he understands her so deeply, and when he tells her abt the mismatched date and half hearted efforts which once agn make her speak whats in her heart, she wants to do this for him,

He has been the one who always done for everyone arnd him, but Khushi wants to do this for him, in her own independant way, she knows that they hv accepted each other and thats unconditional so in a way she is showing off to herself and the world that she can do something for her man, she is giddy with the joy for being with him, the acceptance he has gvn her has to be reciprocated wit equal fervor seems to be her motto,,,,

& once agn Arnav naughtily coaxes her to hv wine, though this is just something which she doesnt believe in yet to be apart of him, his world, she takes, albiet eyes tightly shut as if on a bitter medicine, to make it look real, she pretends drunk, & her bubble is broken by the waiter that indeed is a soft drink

& to this Arnav replied,,,

"I am following all traditions and rituals because I have nothing against them. I am doing that for you. We are doing all this restaurant, Italian food, wine for me. But these are very distant from your way of thinking."

I love you the way you are Khushi, tumhe badalane ki koi jarurat nahi hai,,,

I loved this whiole lines here, it shows the that how deeply he loves this women, he clearly states to her that he doesnt want her to change , with all warts and beauty, he has accepted her, if he has accepted her strengths, he has accepted her weakness too, isnt this beautiful...

We all want this in our relationshps the freedom to be"Me" the complete acceptance is one for the cherished attributes of love, where we retain the me in the we A recent study by yahoo highlights the fact that most successful marriages are those which let the partners hv the freedom to express themselves freely, to maintain the me in the we... Once in a life time we come across a rare soul who will let you be the stupid, the intelligent, the ugly the beautiful all in a moment,, in a breath, they will not judge you or pass you, they will absorb you, they will lets you hope paint the horizon or you and will fill you inarms when faced with failure, once in a life time will come a person for whom you matter more than the world the ways of the world,,,, just by a look they will feel you precious,,

He doesnt wana change her and he njois her like this the most, isnt that wonderful

and the whole champagne fiasco, but I njoied the bit that Arnav instantly gets up to apologise, A man who never apologised to acquiantances, tonite he is doing it to strangers & then the whole Khushi mimcking scene, where he knew how guilty will Khushi feels for the things not going the way she wanted and embrassing him, and the genuine smile he had when he could make her smile through the tears

This is slow mature love where the happiness & prefrence of your partner matter, A extra step to make him/her smile,

I wish CV's this whole brilliant idea which you had I love the way ur/ unconditional & complete acceptance could hv been executed more brilliantly & wisely and with proper buildup and epilogue to the the whole, may be a simple talk before the drop up

Yes Khushi was dressed in blck to impress Arnav, in Chic Black, yet the golden in there made it look gaudy, why coundt it hv been classy, A subtle gold...

Arnav looked a uncomfy, didnt BS get a chance to work on it

Last minute addition to the track, why cant it be properly planned especially when it can act a TRP card

Been absent for a while. Busy schedule, travelling, guests plus taking care of 10 month old twins and one hubby can limit writing time like none other. 😃

About todays episode. A sweet concoction of romance, comedy, emotions and tad bit suspense. Not much wow factor except hot looking leads.

There are a few things I want to gripe about today.

ASR

What's with ASR trying to be cute

How many times did he bat his eyelashes today.

His hair that keeps growing and curling at the nape.

I know ki laad governor aajkal bolne lage hain ... magar itna!!!!!!

Why is he copying Khushi's dialogues. Are we going to see him in salwar kameez with pom poms trying to make her smile next?😡

Also the double date was thanda. Did not generate any anticipation or excitement.

Ok I'm done griping.

Episode begins with our hotwa offering di-mented a ride to poison central. Di-mented tries to dodge unsuccessfully. Venom-central comes to rescue and off they go.

Hotwa arrives at purple orchid and is looking around for his Khushi. Right then he hears her chham-chham from behind. Lo and behold the vision in black. Goddess of beauty and mirth herself. Ms. KKGSR is standing before him and for a minute hotwa is speechless. Soaking in, basking in her beauty. His missus has yet to understand the depth of passion this man carries for her. She stands smiling, slightly confused, slightly conscious of herself. She is very appropriately dressed for once. She has embraced her husbands color. Black. The same girl who said he was like a black and white film is standing in black today. This is the time you break into that song ASR. What was it??

There is some coded comedy about lucknow and kakori which I'm sure our friends at redux will decode for us. Before I came to redux I'd have never paid attention to any codes etc. Its been an education and an honour to know all these super decoders. Kudos to you guys. You all are amazing. 👏👏👏👏

Arnav stands aside amused at his wife's antics. Smiling indulgently he lets her handle the clueless waiter while KKGSR layers him with makkhan and chashni. How could he refuse her. He is a mere mortal. The drool-worthy couple get a table. ASR tries to pull out a chair for wifey. By now Khushi knows that doesnt mean he wants to sit on it. She knows its for her and she takes her seat but aakhir to woh Lucknow ki hai. She thinks pahle aap. So she pulls out a chair for ASR and he's like "OK".

Tsk tsk Khushi. You should have researched table manners and the concept of chivalry like ASR researched all the rasams. Maybe this time ASR should write a book for Khushi. "How to behave in a restuarant" by ASR for my dear wife KKGSR.😆😆😆😆

Well she really needs it.

She cant pronounce the funny names of the dishes so she just states their numbers. Now why wouldnt you let him help you Khushi? See a man feels needed and manly when he can come to his girls aid. You might even get that kiss he has been teasing you with if you let him play knight in shining armour. I'll lend you another book. Men are from mars and women are from venus. Would be good education for you.😉

So the dishes arrive and KKGSR is like what the? Is this all. Itne mein to chatori ka pate adha hi bharega. 😆😆😆😆 ASR gives his unbelievable look and helps her out with the unpalatable dish. Wonder what he put in it? Parmesan cheese to make it salty or pepper flakes to make it spicy? The lady was much appreciative. Only problem is she wanted to do for him but he is the one doing it for her. Man that sounded guttery.😆😆😆😆

Clears throat. Ahem Ahem.

So he gets her kala khatta that looks like wine. Ye to wahi hua ke kerosene ke dabbey mein pani.😆. She downs the whole thing and becomes psychologically inebriated. That was funny.

When she gets to know it wasnt really wine ASR reaffirms his love for her just the way she is. He doesnt want her to change either. He loves her for who she is.

Was this the same guy who used to remind her of her auqaat 40 times a day? During those early days whenever he used to be angry with her, I used to think how much afraid he is of her. He was so afraid of her that he did the meanest things and said the cruelest words to her in order to maintain a distance from her. He knew the moment his eyes lighted on her that this girl spelled trouble for his closely guarded heart and tightly leashed emotions. Inspite of all his best efforts she kept intruding his personal space, his inner most sanctum, his thoughts, his actions, his belief. She rocked his world. He was in a state of civil war where heart and mind kept colliding, at cross purposes. Eventually she conquered him heart, mind and soul. Today he stands open before her. No barriers, no shields, no locks, no bars. He belongs to her. She can really hurt him but he trusts her not to. How beautiful is that?

So KKGSR has tears in her eyes at her laad governor's declaration. She still has something up her sleeve though. She will pop a bubbly for him. She says she has seen him do it and I'm like when? The cocktail party where she wasnt invited and came late? The rest of her parties were at RM where alcohol is a no no. 😕

Anyways, she pops the bubbly and it lands on Bunty's glasses breaking it. ASR gets up and says sorry. WOW. Wasnt it the same man a year back who said ASR kabhi kisi se sorry nahi bolta. Times have certainly changed.😆😆😆

Wasnt very happy with ASR mimicking Khushi. ASR is THE MAN. Like He-Man u know? Dont want to spoil my image of him. Loved the next dialogue where he teases her.

Aap mera mazaq uda rahe hain?

Main tumhara mazaq kaise uda sakta hoon. Tum kisi ko mauqa hi nahi deti.😆😆😆😆😆.

Date is over they r leaving and Khushi wants to pay the bill. U really thought he will let u pay the bill? Its already been taken care of. Relax or Chillax or whatever u want to do.

I'd have liked to see him take her outside and say

ASR: Tum sach mein mere liye kuchh karna chahti ho? (Smirk smirk)

KKGSR: Haa...an. Bilkul.

ASR: OK. To phir wo sexy pink sari pahen kar aao jo maine tumhare liye kharidi thi and let me get a proper kiss out of you Dammmitt!!!!

Actually this scene was a done deal but SP nuns got to know about it and vetoed it😭😭😭😭😭

Dont want to talk about Shanji. They were creeping around in ASR's vicinity and that was enough to put a damper on all pyaar-mohabbat ki baatein. I'm going to start praying for Anji's brain growth. Der se hi sahi may her brain finally grow just like her baby bump finally did.

Let's see what happens tomorrow. Looks like Garima has resolved to confront dadi. How she will manage to avoid it I have no idea but I suspect she will still end up avoididng her. Amazing isnt it?

SO till tomorrow. We shall wait the wait for another episode of IPK. Ciao!!!!!!!!!!

Episode Feedback:

I quite liked the episode today. To me, what they were trying to show is trust and understanding between the couple - and that for a marriage to work, one does not need to change onself. All you need to do is understand and collaborate...which is what they did today. They told each other they love each other for what they are...they are not aspiring to become the other person..they play to their strengths. This is what I feel is going to help them deal with the volcano called Shyam that is erupting soon.

The whole Anjali-Shyam thing is a bit confusing to me, only because I am unable to read Anjali...is she just playing Shyam to find out what his truth is or is she playing dumb?

All those symbolisms thrown in...a lot of people here have analyzed...but I feel, the CVs have now decided to focus on the Shyam angle, rather than Garima's. The very fact that she walked in strongly into the Mehndi function tells me, that maybe Dadi will not recognize her and she will just escape it? Its truly possible.

Khushi was looking gorgeous in that black outfit and downright sexy in that lehnga...is ASR watching that? I would not leave her at all, if I were ASR...I hope we get some good moments between the 2 and some dancing - shancing...enough of the drama bit...lets have some fun too!

I do hope they stretch out the Mehndi function (note I am not saying Godh Bharai, cause Anjali should not get the limelight)...for a change, let it be ASR and Khushi's moment.

Finally, the KBC question of the day...Will the wedding happen? Me-thinks it will, cause unless it does, ASR and Khushi cant fight the evil together.

Brilliant, brilliant pointers!! And you've taken a very fair and neutral stance which I appreciate, especially with regards to the pointer in bold. I completely agree with you, it seems they're finding it difficult to portray ASR in love, or rather in maintaining a balance.

I love a relaxed Arnie, and I equally love the fact that he is able to smile at ease when with Khushi, for I see that as a progressive characteristic. Today, I had no qualms with his relaxed attitude, because I felt he was completely in character, where I didn't think he was in character was when he began to imitate Khushi, whereby I saw more of Barun than I did Arnie...it almost came across as a random insert into the scene. Generally though, I felt Sobti was not his usual sharp self, he was tired; especially in the delivery of his lines and expressions, nor were the correct emotions brought out, which is where the scene fell flat for me.

However, where Sobti lacked this episode, Khushi more than enough made up for it, my eyes were on her throughout the entire scene! I think Sanaya did wonders with her expressions today, and with that I was left completely satisfied. They didn't overdo her antics which I appreciated a great deal, nor did they dramatise her interaction with the waiter; perfect scenario as far as Khushi and her nautunki was involved!

And you're right, it was a romantic moment which was seemingly rushed, and for that reason, the impact was also significantly reduced. I do hope they get around to having another date...until then, their first ever date in which Khushi had an important conversation with her chai and biscot will forever remain etched in my memory as being *hands down* one of the best dates in hindi drama! Yes, it doesn't take much to make me happy! 😆

A comment I made on the previous thread prior to watching the episode, but one which still rings true for me regardless:

Guys, the thing you've got to remember is, is that ASR has always been a progressive character, it doesn't make sense for him to stay in the mould permanently, for he's a product of his dark past and ultimately, of present circumstances. The fact that he retains his ASR ways most the time with others, but is opening himself up to Khushi is beautifully done by Sobti!! For me, his character was never fated to remain as ASR, but a blend of both ASR and Arnie - perfect balance!! And if that means extending his naughty grin to a sincere smile, I'm all up for it! 😊

So long as they retain a balance, I'm sold, because let's face it, his ASR personality hasn't really gone anywhere, it just isn't required when with Khushi!! What's required in an ASR in love, and I think the CVs will do it justice!! Just need Sobti to be back to full form for that to happen!!

Hello Reduxians! It feels like forever since I've given a proper analysis, and unfortunately you guys will miss out on the pretty screencaps and formatting once again as I'm typing this very late at night on my iPod. I must say, though, Arnav & Khushi looked good today! 😳
As usual, I am looking forward to reading all your analyses 😊

Not a huge amount to analyse today, as the episode was filled mainly with ArHi cuteness 😳 but I'll write a little bit 😉

Firstly, we see role-reversal. Khushi is being ASR & Arnav (or was it Barun? 😛) was being Khushi. Although the entire date was pretty light-hearted, I found this very interesting. Could this mean that perhaps in the future when the past comes out they'll be able to see things from the other's perspective? This mutual understanding between them, the ideology that they don't want the other to change, will be critical for trust to build between them & remain with them. They're attempting to explore different channels & find a mutual point between the two different worlds they belong to - they're trying to reach a compromise. We have, as I have previously said, seen compromise between them before - Khushi compromised her beliefs to marry Arnav & Arnav compromised his when agreeing to remarry Khushi. But now they're compromising together to make their relationship work.

Looking back to their first date, there are some similarities and some differences. Firstly, Khushi is still the same desi girl she was back then. Where she was firm in her ways then, she's trying to mature and be more open to change now - she used a fork! 😲
The dynamics of their relationship have obviously changed, but one thing between the two of them that is the same in both dates is the compromise & negotiation. Back then they were trying to mutually agree on a plan to bring Payal & Aakash together, and this time they're trying to mutually find some state of being where they are completely happy with one another (Arnav doesn't want Khushi to be exactly like him & Khushi doesn't want Arnav to be exactly like her - yet they both want to make each other happy by changing 😆).

Arnav telling Khushi that he would never force her to do something she didn't want to... That, my friends, is progression. The same Arnav who forced her to do all those ridiculous jobs in the office and more importantly blackmailed her into marriage is saying that he will not force her to do anything. & he has been true to his word recently. Arnav has shown how he has progressed as a person by taking Khushi's feelings into consideration. He has started to respect her decisions and is beginning to treat her like his equal. He is embracing this marriage and his love for Khushi. This is another foundation for trust to build from 😊

Meanwhile, while ArHi are busy being adorable, spineless Shyamu comes in with Anjali (dude, really?! Hiding at the sight of ASR? Yeah, you'll make a great father...)
Can I take a moment to say that Khushi has the worst timing ever? Whenever she interrupts Arnav, it's always been when he's been about to see Shyam. But it's okay because there won't be any MU about that now 😆

Okay, well the only thing that really stood out for me in this scene was the gift Shyam gave to Anjali for the baby. First of all, there were duplicates of each bangle (they were bangles, right? Couldn't see on my iPod) which reaffirms the twins thing. Could it be possible that she's having 2 girls?
That aside, to me the bangles represent trust. They're round & solid, suggesting a strong bond holding them together. Yet when one fell on the floor, the trust began to break. I don't know what the symbolism behind the number 4 is but I feel that there must be 4 aspects of this trust that will break slowly & only then will Anjali discover the truth.
- The first was, obviously, Shyam's relationship with Khushi. Anjali may want to follow her husband blindly, but even she was constantly sceptical and doubtful about what really happened. She keeps referring to it as a 'galat fehmi', but then what's the truth in her eyes? That aspect of trust has broken and in her heart there is a small sliver of doubt over her husband creeping in.
- The second could be her discovering the truth about his attempts to murder her & perhaps what he did to Khushi's father. Maybe one day she'll finally catch him red-handed and put the pieces together?
- The third could be her finally discovering why he married her & what his motives were.
- The fourth will be the past, the tragic past that he was very much involved in.

A husband and wife take, correct me if I'm wrong, 4 phere in a Hindu wedding. 4 phere, 4 aspects of trust. Once the 'bangles' are gradually broken, the trust will break & then the marriage. Anjali will only leave her world of fantasies and her 'pati dev' when she discovers all 4 aspects of the truth. The 4 I've listed are pure speculation, but I do feel there will be 4 parts to it.

Shyam's disguise as an electrician reminds me of the villains in those old Pakistani dramas 🤣
The moustache and everything... Wow 😆
I hope he doesn't fiddle around with the wires or anything. But if we look at it for a second - he's playing electrician, interfering with the electricity. Electricity is the power source in most houses. This suggests that Shyam will, hiding his true face, try to interfere with Arnav's life (Arnav being the power source). Only question is, will he succeed?

On a separate note, I have been reading a lot about Barun's acting being particularly weak today. I'm not being a fangirl here, but I didn't see much fault in it. I believe his responses to Khushi were accurate, and so was the way he showed Arnav imitating Khushi - bechara Arnav is spending so much time with Sanka Devi that he's going mad like her 😆
He was apparently unwell, which explains why his acting was off at times, and whenever he does funny scenes we all see Barun coming through. But the fact is, most people don't watch SBS segments over and over again. In fact, most viewers don't watch any offscreen interviews, so they don't see Barun laugh like we do. I remember when I first saw Barun laughing offscreen I was so shocked because I couldn't believe that the guy was capable of laughing 😆
We got a little bit of the sexy smirk today, and we got some laughing. My main complaint to Barun would be regarding the bush that he calls hair! Other than that his acting wasn't that bad today - it wasn't amazing but it wasn't awful either!
