Let me introduce myself . My name is Deepika...on IF I am called as Deeps fondly 😳

So let me come to the point . I just found about Sensation south forum recently 🤣 stalking Aahana has its uses😆 ..So on being ...color me red with embarrassment ☺️...so she wanted to punish me for violating her privacy ...and we came to an understanding & a deal... That I make my presence felt in SS 😃

So here I am making my sensational entry to knock your socks off 😆

Any hooo... So to make this forum kalakkal ..I was thinking why don't we start talking about movies 😃.. As u will know soon.. I am a Cinema paithiyaum... I used to tag my dad ever since i was in KG ..and I tortured my mom at home who had her hands full with my new kid bro ... And we developed the habit of watching atleast a movie every week during 80s and 90s ( Yes I must be older than many of u 😛) ...We used to watch mostly in Udhayam & Kamala theatre in Chennai ...Lived in and around Ashok Nagar ...so there u go .. So Telugu, Tamil, Hindi & English movies ..nothing was left...coz there was nothing else to do then..Doordarshan was 🥱

Again before I forget the point .. I was thinking why don't we talk about a movie ( Telugu or Tamil what ever floats our boat) every week and make kothu parota out of it .😆

It can be any fillum...critique the movie in your own style...whether it was a good copy , music, the actors how they did, where r they now, directors, music , comedy , it will cover everything ...If there was a remake which came later, how it was...if the scenes from the movie "inspired" any bollywood movie later , wagera... I hope u get the gist of what I am saying 😕😆

So anybody interested ??? Will U guys give a shot ?

For starters ..lets do our Thala Ajit's "Aasai"...of course pre- Thala era movie 🤣

Why this movie for openers u ask ..Coz I saw it on Sunday in Sun TV & its fresh in my mind and this movie is the first time I bunked my college to watch in Devi theatre with my friends 😃 So iniya ninaivugal .. and Ajit looked sooo Yummy 😳 & it was his first breakout lead role ... So sue me if I sound too fangirly 😆

To refresh everybody's memories & In case some prani has not watched it ...I am posting You tube vids for u to watch in the next post 😃

I am borrowing stuff from Ms.Wikipedia

Aasai is a 1995 Tamil film directed by Vasanth and produced by Mani Ratnam The film featured Ajith Kumar and Suvalakshmi, making her debut, in the leading roles with Prakash Raj in a pivotal role. The film has camera work by Jeeva and a popular soundtrack byDeva.

The lead role was initially offered by Vasanth to Suriya, son of actor Sivakumar, to make his debut but he rejected the offer citing a lack of interest in an acting career.[2] He was duly replaced by Ajith Kumar, in his first major lead role, after Vasanth and P. C. Sriram were impressed with Ajith's performance in Pavithra.

The film went on to win three awards at the Tamil Nadu State Awards securing honours for the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Director for Vasanth, the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Music Director for Deva and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer for Hariharan ( "Konja Naal Poru thalaivaa" song )

I dunno whom I love more... Prakash Raj for being a sadistic villlian or Ajith for being Yummy 🤔😕

So I am waiting for some participation chellams 😃

I like this movie. Everyone played their role really well. Prakash Raj rocked as usual as a villain. But Ajith!!! Omg...he is looking adorable in this movie.

Hello stranger 😃

There was a remake 😲 how could I not know this...was it in Hindi

Oh yeah Prakash Raj killing with the plastic bag on Rohini's face...chilling yet ..In those days yes Delhi was rampant with such murder news .

This movie was such a gripping plot first of all... a pefect BIL in all aspects...until he begins to lust his SIL ..and looses his humanity 😡

Hello..Thanks for commenting... Do I call u smiles or do u prefer another name 😃

Haha Yup This movie came after Pavitra I think 🤔... He looked so cute and such sweet sick boy in there ...and here in Aasai he filled out a bit ... Adorable indeed 😛😉

I wonder how the movie would have been had Surya done it...coz he was supposed to be launched with this ..But I guess Nerukku Ner came later with the same director Vasanth

Yes, the hero in Hindi wasn't really famous. Still trying to find out the name 😕
Prakash Raj was really a mean hero and how killed his colleague who found out of his obsession, his wife and also tried to make Ajith look bad.
And Ajith's voice in the movie was dubbed by actor Suresh 😉

Heylo Stalker😛,
i am glad you stalked me, otherwise no way you would have came up with this idea🤣

Awww..you pizhayarsulli pottufies with my thala movie Aaasai...😎

I was a little kid when this movie came out so more than the movie..it was the songs for me😛...i remember the song.."pulveli pulveli" ..,my fav song in Aasai😳

Prakash Raj acting was mindblowing as the perfect BIL who becomes lusty seeing his young SIL😡 and killing his wife to get the SIL 🤢

Ajith as the loverboy who comes to his lovers rescue and saves her from the villain was a good turning point for thala in his career😎 I think he got the "loverboy" imagie from this movie and kadhal mannan.

The script was good and the actors did justice to their role..I almost forgot the heroine..Suvalaksmi...she looks so young there compared to her other movies😆
