EEE I love you Anu! 😆 *also runs towards you in slow motion to give squishy hugs* 🤗🤗🤗🤗 Bahahaha Just picturing us walking in slow motion for squishy hugs is cracking me up! 😆 Ok, if we ever meet in real life (it could happen you know), we have to do this. Bahaha. Just for our mutual Raghav appreciation. 😎
Ahh makes me so happy to see someone else as excited about this performance! YAY I SO knew you would post that original wala video! haha HAD to watch that again.
You know, it IS so cool how Raghav interpreted the same song so differently each time. He seemed to have more of an energy the first time. He's so much more intense for that second half bit for the first performance. I do LOVE his first wali "nasheeli bye" though. 😆
But this performance of his seemed more balanced throughout. Not as contrasting first and second halves if you know what I mean. Seemed more mature too. Maybe that's Raghav's maturity showing. :)
WORDDD WORDDD a million times to what you said about this act looking so FRESH even though we've seen the other one so many times! 👏 Seriously Raghav's MIND just amazes me. He's so full of this NATURAL creativity. It comes from within. He can't help it, almost. This is simply what he does best. He's got FANTASTIC music sense and expressive ability to it. It just blows my mind.
Oh yes I loved that beginning walking bit too. On those "na aye ho, na ayoge bits". SO perfect. And OHH the latter half...YESS!! Even that "na thaki" bit...the way he's breathing heavily there for like ONE SECOND!! Seriously you can miss SO much in his performance if you look away or blink for a second! SOO much detailing. Yeah and that cross bit you mentioned. I KNOW!! He's SUCH a genius...like how does he manage to think of such DEEP interpretations...so many layers in a ONE second tiny bit...he's one person who truly CAPTURES each bit of his music.
His style, "Slow mo" is actually a metaphor in itself because his style actually slows down moments...drags them out...exaggerates them so that we can CLEARLY experience and SEE each and every BIT of the music. 👏
Oh yeah that wallet bit. 😆 He got major hoots from the audience for that. So clever and sharp he is. 😆 I feel like he can create a dance on any situation, anytime. He's this chalta phirta animated guy...always creating, always expressing.
LOLLL aww the "bachra" bit. 😆 SO endearing how he just calls Soumya that now. That's like his pet name for her now. LOL SUPER cute!!! Hayee so adorable these two are. Nazar na lage...*does nazar uttaro gesture* :P
LMAOOO he dances on that "Yahooo" bit on spot EVERYTIME they play it. 🤣 He can't help it seems. Andar se nikalta hai types. 😆
Waisse I love those names for the teams. 😆 So silly and fun. And those background tunes corresponding to them. Hilarious. 😆
Oh yaar...ok yes we'll really have to disagree about Dharmesh. There was this one bit especially where he does this flying kiss type thing...um I cringed a little I have to say very honestly. He always does these little cheapde se things...it almost goes into that desperate style marroing attempt/showing off style...almost.
I think Dharmesh's personality is such...he seems a little conscious of what he's doing. That bothers me a little. For me, I just love dancers that can totally forget who they are when they're dancing, know what I mean? That conscious aspect is totally gone...of course you have to have some presence of mind while dancing...that's different...but you have to be SO involved in your music/your dance/your INNER NEED to express...with Dharmesh...it's like I can still see DHARMESH when he's dancing...it's not like I can ONLY see the character/mood/emotion he's portraying at that time.
Now Raghav can also do these "style" wale moves...but he makes them charming. He adds that innocence and goofyness to it that's endearing. It doesn't seem so forced.
LOL I think this only makes sense in my head. Sometimes Dharmesh does these cheap moves...that look a little gimmicky to me that bother me a little bit...I think it's a personal bias...lol...maybe I should leave it at that.
Now what I DO appreciate with Dharmesh is that I think he's got a great sense of humour in his choreography. And beat sense too, like you said. He is an entertainer...choreography wise I do enjoy his choreography very much. But for some reason I've never really been WOW-ed by his dancing. *shrugs*
He does seem like a nice guy in reality too though. I also really liked the Raghav-Dharmesh bond. Really sweet. You could see the mutual admiration. :)
About Soumya...lol I guess it's just me then. I actually had to watch this performance a second time before I grew to really like it...but now I do genuinely really like it. I don't know if Soumya just makes every choreography worth it or what...but I liked the choreography. I honestly cannot think of a better choreography for this song! I thought it was perfect. Especially the way it went on the lyrics...like the "karwatein badal" bit...there was this softness in this performance that touched me. Of course Soumya's grace just added to it.
Yes I did notice the little struggle/glitch with that head roll move...but despite that...the performance had this soft, soothing effect on me.
But yes I do get your point also about Soumya being capable of more. Let's hope she gets something different next time.
LOL still waiting for you adding more...
