I just love this guy! Seriously. I just get excited to watch him now. :D

He just makes watching this show for me, really. His solo performance for today's episode was like mind-blowingly awesome! He owned Dharmesh, honestly.

What I found so interesting too...was that I've seen an impromptu Raghav performance on this "na aye ho" song for one of the DID LM promotional occasions. And that was different from this one. So what this tells me, is that this guy is really just a natural. He has this natural, innate ability to just FEEL the music and express to it. And he can do it many times over, with many variations and different elements/steps/expressions but that Raghav magic will still remain. :)

For really isn't that what dancing is really all about? Simply being able to EXPRESS yourself full out to the music. And Raghav does it SO well...like to the T. And he can do it over and over again. I can watch him perform his style over and over again and still not get bored. Because he makes it look so GENUINE, so real and different each time.

Not to compare, but that is what Dharmesh lacks. I am now bored of his style, even though he's a great dancer no doubt. But I already know that he can do this so it doesn't really WOW me as such. Plus Dharmesh is CONSCIOUS of his performance. It shows on his face. He's not completely and fully involved in it.

Now Raghav has also performed his own style 100's of times. But I'm still not tired of watching this guy because he's just SUCH a performer. He's SO into his music/dance style. In ONE line, for ONE beat, he brings so many variations/moods/interesting things. I really can't take my eyes off his dancing, just incase I miss something...some detail or some genius touch of his.

For example, little things like that "nasheeli bye" bit...Raghav's expression during that bit...like HOW does he do that? I'm in awe. It must come naturally. How does he adapt his expression like that for a minute...2 second moment? He captures the tiniest of moments so well! It's this detailing that makes his acts special.

And that "na bati...na katti" bit was just SOO cool! His intensity as he's trying to "cut" during the "na katti" bit. Seriously, WOAH.

OH and that "hum tham gaye aur baat baaki hai" bit the first time. The way he paused and then did that animated talking effect. 👏 YAAR! Just so awesome this guy is. Total genius I must say!

Farah was so right when she said that Raghav's dancing is like this unbelievable effect...like watching some animated effect on stage. Too cool! And what makes him stand out too is his FEEL, his expressions which vary by the minute! He's totally into his music. Awesome, stuff! So much respect for this guy!

I loved his nautanki as always too! What an entertainer all around. He warms my heart and makes me smile. What a genuine personality he is!!

"Mujhe toh aaj tak school mein class ka monitor bhi nahin banaya!" Bahaha and his "Bachon finger on the lips" nautanki! 🤣

Other than that, my other favourite performance today was Soumya's. Wohooo so great to see this girl dancing again. I can watch her for hours. SOO graceful she is. She makes you feel like she can move like this forever and ever. SO flowy she is...just flowing from one step to another. I have not seen this quality in a dancer for a while. I think she can just about beat any other girl on this show...from both seasons.

YAY for getting to see Raghav and his choreography again! :D :D

Wow!!
What a dissection of Raghav's performance. Your post made me re-watch Raghav's dance to see the nuances you described. He is indeed a great performer. As u said, I love his detailing, clean moves and control over his body.

I loved Saumya. She is an amazing dancer. But I didnt like choreography. It was simple and pleasing, but she can do much more. They should give her more challenging acts (ya of course keeping in mind her safety and innocence)

Thanks for replying. :)

I couldn't help dissecting/analyzing Raghav's performance. It was too awesome and detailed! :D Got me excited, totally. 😆 What a guy.

Really? You didn't enjoy Soumya's solo? Wow, that's too bad. I genuinely loved it. The song was so soothing too and her performance was totally fitting.

See the thing about Soumya is that she makes EVERYTHING look easy. What she was doing was def. not easy by any means. It's just her flow...her ease when she dances...*sigh*. You can give her anything, she makes it look effortless. She makes it look airy...flowing...free...easy on the eyes. Like she's simply floating in the air.

I liked the choreography. I loved the little moments like the "taare ginoon". *sigh* The little soft touches/elements Soumya can portray is just magical. Such a special dancer this girl is. Grace personified, totally.

I honestly can't get enough of watching this girl dance. She makes me want to wish I could move like that. She makes me want to spin/dance around in my room for hours. That's how graceful and free flowing she is as a dancer. I'm LITERALLY like this watching her dance always-->

It's impossible that I ever dislike Saumya's dance. For me she is Goddess of dance.
Ya I agree "she makes EVERYTHING look easy. "
But this kid is so amazing that I want to see her doing more challenging routines. For me choreo was simple for HER level.

I am quoting both of you together because I agree to every words said by both.

One one hand as much as I love soumya and adore her talent and loved her performance today, On the other hand I also agree that she is much more capable of doing much better than what she did today.

She is so graceful, so controlled, so flowy that everytime she comes on stage it looks like she owns the stage and she is there to perform the performance of life. Look at any of her performances, Aja Nachle, Main pareshan, Nain parinde, to her Paso Dubstep with Rohan and even her audition performance was to the T. In grand Finale she performed like a star..moving, flowing, floating from one part of the stage to another. Looking behind at all these performances, I also felt ..today's performance was kind of monotonous of what she has already presented before on that stage. We all know what she is capable of. The skippers really have to be creative in choreographing her and give her more challenges that will keep us spellbound. Her paso Doble, Nain parinde are some of the performances that have awed me to max.

Raghav and Team doesn't even need to push her hard , they just need to give her choreography that she deserves to get and present on stage. As Raghav always says, She eats a lot and brings out double energy on stage, according to that, she needs a powerful chorepgraphy. So, the next performance I wanna see of Soumya is something "Gallactic" in Raghav's language. If that's acheived, she will Kill every girl's performance on that stage.

I have so much respect for Raghav for what he does with himself and the kids and Soumya for such a mindblowing performer/dancer.

Ok fair enough you feel that. But I honestly don't even know what more is THERE for her to do. She's done it all I feel. I can't think of any other "challenging" things for her. This routine was pretty challenging.

I personally think that it IS challenging to do your moves full out and then bring in little moments/expressions in between. Something Soumya always does so well. It's challenging to go from subtle to big movements side by side.

Plus even the little "breaking" bits in the song. Where she had to break her movements. She did that so well. Great music sense and timing this girl has. Even though her overall style was flowy/contemporary.

I genuinely don't know how THIS routine could've been more 'challenging' and still going with the music. 😕

Yeah if you mean that we've seen Soumya do this style before, then yes I hear you. But even then, there was variation here, going with the song.

But yes, if you mean that it would be refreshing to see Soumya do something different...maybe something energetic next time? Then yes, that'd be nice. :) Or maybe a folk dance or something? Although as I said, I can never tire of watching Soumya perform graceful styles so beautifully. :)

Main aa gayiii *runs in slow motion to give you squishy hugs* 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

OMG Raghav finally performed his "tum gaye kyun" performance on the BIG STAGE...I totally got excited for that alone when I heard the song playing.

Ok first things first...the original has to be posted here before I move on to saying anything else :P

So WORD to everything you said about the ASTOUNDING ability this guy has to VARIATE even his OWN routines...and in the BLINK of an eye that too...even having seen that press conference perf a bunch of times before, this version today still felt so FRESH cuz he manages to add so much variety...so much variety in INTERPRETATION of the lyrics each time...if that isn't creativity of a whole another level, what is?

I LOVED the opening with the airplane...the way he walked back...there is SOUL in every little way he moves a muscle, a foot, a hand...but yes my absolute favs. were the latter half...the raat bhi na KATI bit...it's GENIUS...every TINY beat, tiny bit of lyrics he has a movement for...I also loved the raat bhi laazmi, zaalimi bit...note the movement he does there...making that cross in the air like a talisman against something evil...

In the press conference version, he did an AWESOME improv bit when his wallet fell out...lol...and that's just a hint of just how amazing he is...

Anyways back to this act...I also loved the entire bit when the music slows down and he does the 'na phone pe bulaaoge' bit again...

Other random Raghav bits I loved...when he called Soumya the BACHHRA of their team🤣...and I LOVED LOVED the random impromptu step he did when they played the YAHOOO song after his act and him getting that band...😆

Ok have to disagree slightly regarding Dharmesh's act...really enjoyed that one too...Dharmesh is Dharmesh yaar...his beat sense also cannot be denied...he's on his own level and this is deffo one of his best performances that I've seen...on the version of the song he chose...it was very good and since it was lyrical it was reminding me of Raghav's style in some ways too😆

And I have to say I LOVE the bonding b/w these guys...you can see how much Raghav holds Dharmesh in high regard and Dharmesh is also SO generous and affectionate with Raghav...the way he came to hug him after the act.

And Raghav toh...lol he was hugging EVERY kid after their performance...pure soul he is.

About Soumya...I liked the act yaar and she is like a graceful fairy to watch as always no doubt but I do agree that the choreography wasn't that inspiring...and I actually saw her struggling with some head roll thing in b/w too...so it was most deffo not a flawless act and Soumya is most definitely capable of MUCH more...I hope to see her being given more interesting and challenging choreographies.

OK I have more to say...will be back in a bit.

EEE I love you Anu! 😆 *also runs towards you in slow motion to give squishy hugs* 🤗🤗🤗🤗 Bahahaha Just picturing us walking in slow motion for squishy hugs is cracking me up! 😆 Ok, if we ever meet in real life (it could happen you know), we have to do this. Bahaha. Just for our mutual Raghav appreciation. 😎

Ahh makes me so happy to see someone else as excited about this performance! YAY I SO knew you would post that original wala video! haha HAD to watch that again.

You know, it IS so cool how Raghav interpreted the same song so differently each time. He seemed to have more of an energy the first time. He's so much more intense for that second half bit for the first performance. I do LOVE his first wali "nasheeli bye" though. 😆

But this performance of his seemed more balanced throughout. Not as contrasting first and second halves if you know what I mean. Seemed more mature too. Maybe that's Raghav's maturity showing. :)

WORDDD WORDDD a million times to what you said about this act looking so FRESH even though we've seen the other one so many times! 👏 Seriously Raghav's MIND just amazes me. He's so full of this NATURAL creativity. It comes from within. He can't help it, almost. This is simply what he does best. He's got FANTASTIC music sense and expressive ability to it. It just blows my mind.

Oh yes I loved that beginning walking bit too. On those "na aye ho, na ayoge bits". SO perfect. And OHH the latter half...YESS!! Even that "na thaki" bit...the way he's breathing heavily there for like ONE SECOND!! Seriously you can miss SO much in his performance if you look away or blink for a second! SOO much detailing. Yeah and that cross bit you mentioned. I KNOW!! He's SUCH a genius...like how does he manage to think of such DEEP interpretations...so many layers in a ONE second tiny bit...he's one person who truly CAPTURES each bit of his music.

His style, "Slow mo" is actually a metaphor in itself because his style actually slows down moments...drags them out...exaggerates them so that we can CLEARLY experience and SEE each and every BIT of the music. 👏

Oh yeah that wallet bit. 😆 He got major hoots from the audience for that. So clever and sharp he is. 😆 I feel like he can create a dance on any situation, anytime. He's this chalta phirta animated guy...always creating, always expressing.

LOLLL aww the "bachra" bit. 😆 SO endearing how he just calls Soumya that now. That's like his pet name for her now. LOL SUPER cute!!! Hayee so adorable these two are. Nazar na lage...*does nazar uttaro gesture* :P

LMAOOO he dances on that "Yahooo" bit on spot EVERYTIME they play it. 🤣 He can't help it seems. Andar se nikalta hai types. 😆

Waisse I love those names for the teams. 😆 So silly and fun. And those background tunes corresponding to them. Hilarious. 😆

Oh yaar...ok yes we'll really have to disagree about Dharmesh. There was this one bit especially where he does this flying kiss type thing...um I cringed a little I have to say very honestly. He always does these little cheapde se things...it almost goes into that desperate style marroing attempt/showing off style...almost.

I think Dharmesh's personality is such...he seems a little conscious of what he's doing. That bothers me a little. For me, I just love dancers that can totally forget who they are when they're dancing, know what I mean? That conscious aspect is totally gone...of course you have to have some presence of mind while dancing...that's different...but you have to be SO involved in your music/your dance/your INNER NEED to express...with Dharmesh...it's like I can still see DHARMESH when he's dancing...it's not like I can ONLY see the character/mood/emotion he's portraying at that time.

Now Raghav can also do these "style" wale moves...but he makes them charming. He adds that innocence and goofyness to it that's endearing. It doesn't seem so forced.

LOL I think this only makes sense in my head. Sometimes Dharmesh does these cheap moves...that look a little gimmicky to me that bother me a little bit...I think it's a personal bias...lol...maybe I should leave it at that.

Now what I DO appreciate with Dharmesh is that I think he's got a great sense of humour in his choreography. And beat sense too, like you said. He is an entertainer...choreography wise I do enjoy his choreography very much. But for some reason I've never really been WOW-ed by his dancing. *shrugs*

He does seem like a nice guy in reality too though. I also really liked the Raghav-Dharmesh bond. Really sweet. You could see the mutual admiration. :)

About Soumya...lol I guess it's just me then. I actually had to watch this performance a second time before I grew to really like it...but now I do genuinely really like it. I don't know if Soumya just makes every choreography worth it or what...but I liked the choreography. I honestly cannot think of a better choreography for this song! I thought it was perfect. Especially the way it went on the lyrics...like the "karwatein badal" bit...there was this softness in this performance that touched me. Of course Soumya's grace just added to it.

Yes I did notice the little struggle/glitch with that head roll move...but despite that...the performance had this soft, soothing effect on me.

But yes I do get your point also about Soumya being capable of more. Let's hope she gets something different next time.

LOL still waiting for you adding more...

LOLLL Pallo! Yes TOTALLY we MUST do a slow mo run in honor of being Raghav fans...super fun it would be🤗

You've summed it up PERFECTLY here
His style, "Slow mo" is actually a metaphor in itself because his style actually slows down moments...drags them out...exaggerates them so that we can CLEARLY experience and SEE each and every BIT of the music. 👏
And yes TOTALLY I had to go back and rewatch the performance again to catch the nuances cuz there are just SO many...in a NANOSECOND also he puts in a step that you have to WATCH for...the level of intelligence this guy puts into each step is something you have to watch out for to truly appreciate...the depth of it...it's just amazing.

Ahh his nasheeli bye toh...LOL totally I have a bias for that too...only HE could come up with that kind of interpretation!

Raghav's maturity is deffo showing...last night I was watching some of his earliest DID3 performances and wahaan se hi marked difference dikhta hai yaar...a maturity in his dancing and otherwise also like he's growing into his face more now😆

And honestly I just love how the kids love him so much...it always makes me go awww...lol

Like with Soumya also...the evolution of the bond is there to see...the smile on her face each time he makes a joke about her eating anything and everything...lol

Re: Dharmesh...lol I do get your point about those certain kind of moves he does that aren't as "classy" for lack of a better word...but overall I still love the crispness in his dancing...it's a very rare quality in most dancers the level to which Dharmesh does it...Raghav's creativity and soul is on a different level so I don't really compare the two.

I did feel that a bunch of the lyrical stuff in Dharmesh's act was reminiscent of Raghav's style😆...maybe that's why I liked it :P

Ok on to the rest of what I wanted to say now...

The group acts...good act from the Yahoo team...and I'm always amused how the same songs get used in DID and JDJ every week and how DID usually gets the SOUL of a song bang on unlike JDJ...like Satrangi re in this act...they got the ESSENCE of the song...unlike the "butterfly" pair in JDJ *rolls eyes*

The solos...Soumya was just SO elegant...and you know I liked Vaishnavi in the first LM but I feel ki her face is looking a bit dull for lack of a better word...there is this GLOW, this FRESHNESS on Soumya's face when she dances...it's missing in Vaishnavi even though she's a superb dancer too...but there should be a PLEASANT quality on your face that should draw the audience in...

I loved Farah's comment to Soumya today about the star quality this kid has...totally agree on that...cuz that quality is inborn...can't be taught...and this kid has it for sure...the kind of grace she has is one of a kind and draws in the audience and makes them WANT to watch.

The dance ki takkar...LOL ok Faisal basically owned that one from the get go...honestly Jeetu just didn't match up to him...and you know what I was thinking...it's a general comment on the LM1 kids...they've grown up...past a certain age...the LM2 kids in general still have that ABANDON of childhood in them...not conscious of anything, just dancing their hearts out...but the LM1 kids are like in this transition waali age...kinda trying to figure themselves out while outgrowing childhood and on the cusp of being in high school/becoming adults...a big USP for LM2 currently I feel is that those kids still have that special spark that being at that age gives them...bindaas, mast ekdum...lol
