"He is my Jiji's dewar. Do you want to break my sister's marriage? And as if you were never with any other woman" she added after a pause.

He brought his hand around her back and pulled her to him "How dare you say that about me? I have not even laid my eyes on anyone since I had seen you in that party three years ago? How could you think so low of me?"

She smiled and said "You started it" When she looked at his confused face she continued "You thought I would leave you after all the time we had spent together" accusation was dripping from her voice. He looked down and left her waist.

"Let us go to Ashutosh. We have to tell him that I cannot marry him." Arnav nodded and followed Khushi out of her room. She borrowed Arnav's phone to call up Ashutosh and asked him to come upstairs. She saw Arnav removing his jacket and dumping it on a chair in the corridor and rolling the sleeves of his shirt from the corner of her eyes. She disconnected the call and asked "Why are you rolling up your sleeves? I am telling you for the last time to behave well with Ashutosh. He has been nothing but a sweetheart to me. Filling in all my lonely moments, taking me out for gol gappe, barf ka gola, beaches…"

"Khushi do you realize your talk is infuriating me?"

"Oops! Let's go!" she said pulling him with her. Khushi had called Ashutosh to their usual corner and waited. When Ashutosh came, Khushi ran to him, lifted him off the floor and gave him two quick kisses on his cheek. Ashutosh repeated her action.

Arnav was watching this scene in disbelief and asked "Is this Ashutosh?"

Ashutosh gestured Khushi to put him down. "Yes I am Ashutosh Rai Singhania" he said with pride in his voice "Who are you?" Ashutosh asked Arnav with disgust. "I am Arnav Singh Raizada"

Ashutosh turned to Khushi and asked "Khushi didi is he that Arnav Singh Raizada who had refused to marry a beautiful girl like you and made you sad?" Khushi nodded her head with a puppy face. Ashutosh turned to Arnav with an angry look in his eyes. He pushed his sleeves up, fisted his palms and showed it to Arnav and said "Muh tod daloonga. If you try to trouble my Khushi didi again, I will not leave you" Arnav raised his eyebrows at the tiny creature before him. Ashutosh turned to Khushi and pulled her to his eye level "Don't worry Khushi didi I will marry you and keep you happy like I promised."

"But Ashutosh he is nice. He has agreed to marry me. I cannot marry you now. But thank you so much for being there with me" Khushi smiled at Ashutosh. He looked down hurt. Arnav came to Ashutosh and asked "Don't you think Khushi is too young for you? And tumhare jaise ladke ko to bahot better ladkiyan milegi"

"Really? Better than Khushi didi?"

"Yes"

"Will you find one for me who is better than Khushi didi?"

"Yes I will"

"Yeah. I will get a girl!" Ashutosh shouted and ran away from there still shouting "I will get a girl", leaving Arnav totally baffled at the kid's behavior.

Arnav looked at Khushi and said "Bohot hi ghatiya idea tha yeh"

Khushi only shrugged "You wanted to punish the person who came up with this idea in your way, right?" she asked backing him to the wall. She placed her hands on either side of his body and leaned towards him. Arnav waited for the kiss but it didn't come. He opened his eyes to find Khushi grinning at him.

"What?"

"Are you sure about the punishment Arnav?" Khushi asked.

"Yes Khushi, very sure."

She stepped away from him and made a call from Arnav's phone "He agreed. Come upstairs"

Arnav saw his Jeejaji coming up. Khushi approached him and said "Jeejaji, Arnav wants to give you something" and giggled. She looked at Arnav and said "I think I should leave the two of you alone. I have to attend my sister's wedding" and ran towards the stairs.

Arnav looked at Shyam and started "Why didn't you tell me about the plan?"

"Because the plan was about you and you were not supposed to know it" he said it as if explaining a little kid why 2 plus 2 is 4. Arnav was about to shout some more when his attention was diverted to a descending Khushi and an ascending Anjali.

While Khushi was getting down the steps, Anjali walked up. Khushi ran down to her so that she doesn't have to climb and stopped before her. Anjali beamed at her, opened a red velvet box and picked out two golden kangans from them. She took Khushi's right wrist and slipped one kangan, then she took her left wrist and slipped the other kangan. She took Khushi's face in her hands and kissed her forehead. They hugged each other and Anjali said "Welcome to the family Bhabhi"

Arnav forgot the reason for his anger when he saw this scene unfolding before his eyes which felt so right to him.

The Raizadas attended the wedding and stayed till the end. It was very difficult for Khushi to concentrate on the wedding as Arnav refused to look away from her and even stood next to her during the pheras, picking up flower petals from her palms and throwing them on the couple. Khushi picked a few petals and threw it on his face.

"Arnav step away from me. People will get suspicious" Khushi whispered

"What is there to be suspicious about?"

"You have been staring at me throughout all the rituals"

"I am actually imagining you with your hair lose. Let me concentrate" he paused and continued a while later "I have told you that I don't like your hair tied. And since Ms. All-Knowing knew that I will be coming may I know why did she not follow my wishes?"

"Ashutosh wanted me to dress up like this. He came running to me with a magazine in hand and said in his cute voice 'Khushi didi please dress up like this'" Khushi mimicked in Ashutosh's voice and giggled.

"You gave priority to him over me?" Arnav asked hurt.

"Please Arnav don't tell me that you are getting jealous of a 6 year old!"

"I am not jealous" Arnav said turning away from Khushi.

"Liar" she said fondly.

Ashutosh came just then, regarded Arnav with narrowed eyes for a second and then pulled Khushi down "Didi here are Akash Bhai's shoes. Take loads of money from him and then 50-50" he grinned displaying missing teeth. Arnav raised his eyebrows at the deceit of the little phataka before him.

"Don't give him anything ok?" Ashutosh pointed at Arnav.

"Excuse me. I don't want your money" Arnav told Ashutosh.

"Don't worry nobody is giving it to you either" Ashutosh replied and went away.

"Kya Arnav bachcha hai! You should play along with him. They get happy"

"So that is why you printed a marriage card with his name on it, to play along with him"

"Finally, the electricity has returned and the tube light now works" Khushi pulled Arnav's leg who glared at her, but then smiled looking at her happy face.

After the vidaai, when the Guptas had cried to their heart's content, Anjali approached Khushi along with her husband. "Khushi ji we are coming to your house next week with the shagun"

Arnav came behind Anjali just then and accused her "You lied!"

"One, I didn't lie. Two if I hadn't then probably we would have been returning from Khushi's vidaai"

"Jeejaji, you are very lucky" Khushi started "You got the smarter sibling"

"Haan wohh to hai. Nobody can manipulate better than my Rani Sahiba"

Anjali hit Shyam's chest with the back of her hand and accused "You were the one who planned everything with Khushi ji. You told us about your plan only when the Guptas arrived with the card. You prohibited me from talking to Arnav about his problem stating that you will take care of everything and you call me a manipulator?..."

Anjali accused Shyam some more while Arnav pulled Khushi to a corner.

"What are you doing? Someone will see!" Khushi looked around to check if anyone could spot them.

Arnav had pushed Khushi to a secluded corner and he was standing so close to her that each and every part of their bodies touched.

"Your family is too busy crying a river. I am sure they will do my aarti daily for taking you away from them. They will definitely heave a sigh of relief when you will get married" Arnav teased her.

"Shut up!"

"Khushi" Arnav's voice was now serious "If I hadn't agreed to marry you then what?"

"I would have kidnapped you, dragged you to a Mandir and forcefully married you. But then this won't be a romantic story to narrate to our kids, will it?"

"Khushi kids?" Arnav asked apprehensively

"Yes kids!"

"But kids are like Ashutosh, all noisy!"

"If you think kids are bad because they are noisy then look at yourself. Always making noise!"

"So you think I am a kid?"

"Yes you are"

"Let me prove you wrong" he snaked his arms around her bare waist and pulled her to him. He bent down and kissed her while Khushi placed her right hand around his neck while the other stayed on his chest. They were together after a month and hence both refused to leave each other and even when they did to breathe, they kissed each other again to compensate for the one month that they were away. Arnav picked out the numerous hair pins from her hair, letting her hair fall. He broke the kiss and started kissing her cheek and neck, whispering sweet nothings in her ear.

"I think we should go now" Khushi said after a few minutes.

"Hmmm" he mumbled, his face buried in her hair.

"Arnav…let us go now. We can meet later" Khushi tried to reason with him. He lifted his head and asked

"Promise?"

"Yes promise" Khushi smiled and gave him a quick kiss on his lips like she had done two years back. Khushi straightened her dress and hair and Arnav's coat. "Lets go" They came out of their 'hiding' place to find a worried Anjali looking around.

"Di what happened?" Khushi asked her.

"We cannot find Pooja" Shyam answered.

"She must be with Nani, Di" Arnav tried to assure her.

"No Chotay she is not" Anjali was on the verge of tears. Shyam held her by her shoulders and said "We will look for her ok?"

Arnav turned around looking in every direction to find his niece. He saw a dupatta flying from the corner of his eyes. He went in the direction of the flying dupatta, Khushi close behind him. What they saw stunned them.

Ashutosh was sitting on his one knee and Pooja's foot was placed on his other knee. Pooja had hurt her ankle, the cut bleeding. Ashutosh had a kerchief in his hand which he used to wipe the blood off the wound. "Thoda dard hoga" Ashutosh warned and Pooja nodded.

Khushi looked at Arnav and teased "Thank you for letting your niece in Ashutosh's life. This will help him forget me and you can fulfill your promise of getting a girl for him." she winked.

"Unbelievable"

Ashutosh tended to her wound, tied a band aid and stood up. He offered his hand to Pooja who took his hand meekly and smiled while a Rabba Vey played in the background.
