Taarey OS Pink and Blue

It is 7 pm, Taani is waiting for her husband Rey. He normally comes back from work around this time.


The doorbell rings, Taani runs to open the door to let Swayam in


Rey: hey baby! *pecks her lips*


Taani: hey! How was work?


Rey: *starts walking towards the living room while taking off his tie* okay, but u know what's strange?


Taani: wat?


Rey: 2day almost everyone was either wearing pink or blue!


Taani: *tries to hide her smile* really? Hmmm strange


Rey: *sits down on a sofa* yea very! So how was ur day?


Taani: *wraps her arms around his neck from behind* just like any other day...u hungry?


Rey: no, I already ate


Taani: *frowns* well do u think u could eat a little ice cream with me! I bought cotton candy and strawberry!


Rey: *smiles* okay, but just a little


Taarey head to the kitchen, and Taani takes out two bowels, one pink and one blue...she takes two scoops of each ice cream and places them inside each bowel. Then she hands Rey the blue bowel, and keeps the pink one for herself.


Rey: Uff! Tumhe sirf pink or blue mila???


Taani: u want different bowels?


Rey: no, but wat was the need of pink and blue ice cream?


Taani: well! It's not my fault that the yummy ice creams happen to be pink and blue!


Rey: waise, iss blue ice cream ka flavor kya hain?


Taani: cotton candy!


Rey: aur pink wala?


Taani: strawberry!


Rey takes a bite out of his cotton candy ice cream, then spits it out


Rey: EW! U think this is tasty?


Taani: *nods her head innocently* haan!


Rey shakes his head then heads up to their room to take some rest...


After couple seconds...


Rey: *yells* Taani!


Taanistarts giggling, then she runs upstairs to their room after she calmed herself a bit


Taani: haan Rey?


Rey: how come there r only blue or pink clothes in our closet? And, y r the bedcovers and curtains pink? Where did these blue flowers come from? Taani!?!


Taani: um, pink and blue r the latest trends?


Re: UGH! Everyone has gone insane today!


Taani: *places her hands on his shoulders* just relax! Close ur eyes and try to make everything make sense to u


Reyis confused,but just does wat Taani asked


After a while he opens his eyes


Rey: I can't seem to find any logic in all this!


Taani: *irritated* uff! Just change and come down!


Taani goes downstairs and decorates the living room, after couple minutes, Rey goes downstairs into the living room


Rey: TAANI!


Taani: *innocently* yes?


Rey: y r there pink and blue balloons everywhere?


Taani: there house looked boring, so I found these balloons to decorate it with!


Rey goes and pops every single one of them


Taani: hey!


Rey: Taani, I really don't have enough patience right now!


Taani: *disappointed* okay, um I m going to go upstairs and get ready for bed


Rey: But it's only 8:30


Taani: I m tired *heads upstairs acting sad*


Rey sits on the sofa and tries to concentrate on watching T.V, but he feels guilty for raising his voice, so he goes to apologize to Taani


Rey: Taani?


Taani comes out of the bathroom with one side of her head blue, and the other side pink


Rey: plz say that's not permanent


Taani: *giggles* it's not permeant, I m just trying to see which one I would go well with


REy: *confused* huh?


Taani: I wanna see if a girl or boy would be better *smiles*


Rey: *still confused* okay...um carry on *walks out of the room*


Taani: *smacks her head* uff! Stupid! How dumb can one person be?


Just then Rey comes back in the room looking confused


Rey: Taani?


Taani: hmmm?


Rey: how would pink or blue determine which gender would look good with u!


Taani: *smiles* pink for girl and blue for boy


Rey: ummm...Taani? *cups her face* r u okay?


Taani: *confused* yes, y?


Rey: idk *walks out of the room in confusion*


Taani: uff!


Rey walks back in, and starts cheering in excitement...he lifts Taani in his arms and twirls her around


Taani: *giggling* Rey! Put me down!


Rey: *puts her down and pulls her lips into a quick kiss* ur pregnant!?!


Taani: *smiles* yes, 3 months going *then frowns* but, how come it took u so long to figure this out???


Rey: Taani, not everyone connects babies with blue and pink


Taani: but most ppl do!


Rey: but I don't think of it that way! So, it was confusing...maybe toys would have been a better signal


Taani: *looks down* I wanted u to surprise u so that u would be more cheerful


Rey: Taani *pulls her chin up slightly* this WAS a surprise, that too a brilliant one! I m sorry for being stupid and not figuring out earlier! And u didn't have to surprise me, the fact that I m going to be a daddy is enough for me!


Taani: daddy?


Rey: haan...I mean I m the father


Taani: y daddy???


Rey: then wat do u want the baby to call me?


Taani: papa! It would be so cute having a baby running around yelling mama and papa!


Rey: *chuckles* I love u *kisses her*


Taani: *kisses back then pulls away* I love u 2, can we eat some ice cream? I m craving something sweet


Rey: sure, we could go to the store and get some ice cream right now


Taani: but, I already bought ice cream! Remember?


Rey: it's pink and blue! Can we just eliminate those colors from our lives for a couple days?


Taani: but, if we r going to have kids then we r going to have to get use to these colors


Rey: yea, but right now let's just stay away from these colors...they r giving me the creeps *shudders*


Taani: *giggles* okay


Rey: *kisses her*


Taani: *deepens the kiss*


Rey: *pulls away* come on let's get some ice cream


They both buy ice cream and some chocolates to store there fridge with


After 6 months


Nurse: congratulations Mr.Singhgania, it's a boy!


Reythanks her and runs into the room


Rey: *picks up his crying newborn* hey baby, how r u? Ur mama is sleeping? Hmm?


Baby: *looks up at him and stops crying, feeling as is he is protected*


Rey: *kisses his forehead* my little baby!


Taani: *opens her eyes and stares at the father and son* Rey?


Rey: *looks at her and goes to her* u tired?


Taani: yea, can I hold him? *holds out her hands*


Rey: *places the baby in her arms* thanks for this perfect gift *kisses her forehead*


Taani: *smiles* wat r we naming him?


Rey: hmmm how about Shivam?


Taani: SHIVAM!?!


Rey: haan! He is the reason y we r together know!


Taani: ew! No! I don't wanna name my son after him! Think of another name!


Rey: Tarun?


Taani: *smiles* Tarun, perfect!


The nurse comes in with a blue blanket with pink stripes, she gives Taarey some instructions then hands Taani the blanket, as soon as Tarun sees the blanket he starts crying


Taani: awww baby!


Rey: see! It's not a good idea to connect babies with blue and pink!


Taani: he is a BABY! He obviously isn't crying because of a blanket's color


Rey: *to the nurse* could u possibly bring us a white blanket?


The nurse does and gets a white blanket for Tarun, then she hands it to Rey


Rey takes the blue and pink blanket away, and hands Taani the white one. He hides the blanket. Tarun stops crying after he sees that the blanket is gone.


Rey: told u!


Taani: o god!


Rey: *chuckles* well, pink and blue rnt good colors for ALL babies


Taarey burst out laughing, then they cuddle with their baby boy
