Working wid dev was a different experience..

Unlike maan, dev was almost always der.. he involved me in all d meetings.. bt dis cud also b coz I was in d project fm d start unlike d last min whr I was a last min replacement!!

But maan's approach was more professional n bang on target.. evn though I'd joined in so late, I had every detail at hand whn I joined work!!

Dev irrespective of d circumstances alwaz was an accessible boss to the whole team!

He was great to work wid, considering his relaxed manner.. bt I did find myself many-a-times comparing his attitude to wht he appeared while we had chatted thru the yrs..

He had changed for sure.. a lot..

I wasn't sure if it was good or bad..

Bt den DD is DD..!! n nothing can change tht!!

N it was fun working wid pinky.. we were used to each odr nw n nw I knew whr she excelled n whr she lacked, so I cud a lot her work accordingly n help her iron out her flaws!!

Dev's coolness infact alwaz made me wonder whthr it was just a part of his behavior or d fact tht he subconsciously knew tht maan wud b thr alwaz if nythng went out of hand.. or bth!!

For one thng was sure he worshiped maan..

B it work or odrwise..!!

N maan was alwaz der to answer all his queries..

Yes thts wht had majorly changed in dese past three weeks..

Maan's approach to me!!

His elusiveness previously had made him a mystery I was dying to unravel.. n probably tht caused tht extra pull I felt towards him..

Or so I reasoned!!

bt off late I had started understanding him better!!

For one I understood he was a total introvert socially!! If he cud talk for hrs abt work, he cud hardly string a few words together to make conversation.. even wid dev!!

Not tht I dint know b4.. bt it seemed so obvious here..

He was more of a behind d scene kinda person.. working hard to set thngs ryt n despite his volcanic temper tht was ever ready to erupt n his dusht danav mode.. but it was hardly ever for a wrong cause.. he worked hard to achieve perfection n expected d same out of the othrs!!

Also it was thru adi, pinky n pari.. I came to know tht he hardly ever partied except corporate ones whr he spent tym building new collaborations, forget dancing!!

N yet he fulfilled my wish for a dance!!

N though pari's dreamy rant went on n on.. I realised she was a grt gal totally in awe of maan!! From d tym he was d chief guest at her college function!! She was her college topper bt her family wasn't financially well off n so she had to work..

also he hardly had ny frnds..

it was only adi n dev!!

It was due to his over-indulgement in work!!

Maan was terrible with expressing his feelings n from wht dev told me except wid daadi n tht too happened rarely !! n tht too generally it was abt dev or daadi.. just abt never abt himself..

I knew of tht.. having witnessed his convo wid daadi.. n knowing him nw, I knew it was just in d flow of emotions tht he'd blurted out so much to daadi.. or probably he never wud..

For a sec I wondered hw he d ever confess his feelings if he ever fell in love!!

Bt then I also believed love gave us the strength to do thngs we'd never do.. the only ones we'd go out of the way to do something was for the ppl we loved..!

Maan n me had become comfortable in the true sense now.. minus the overtly obvious sparks I felt previously!! No.. d sparks weren't lost.. bt I dint get lost smwhr nymore..

We cud discuss work easily.. n though he had no direct connection wid interior dcor, he cud cm up wid sm solution wid his experience n rational thinking!!

Finally I cud reason n name wht I shared wid maan.. DOSTI! Frndship!!

Off late the whole family including maan used to hv breakfast together.. n though he dint contribute much to d convo, except whn meer or dev or ny of the elders asked him smthng.. bt his presence was enuf..

I was spending so much tym wid dev dese days at home n otherwise to make dis project a success.. I knew it meant a lot to him!! He wanted to prove himself to the world tht maan had rytfully chosen him as his 2^nd in command.. on d basis of merit n not just becoz of being his brother!! N he knew he had to keep doing thngs ryt to keep upto tht..

Our project work was nearing completion n work was smooth except I had been at the receiving end of taunts from sasha.. initially I just ignored it.. bt later on I realised she was taking my silence as my weakness!!

She dint like my closeness to maan n dev.. n even though none at office knew I was their family frnd.. no one bothered, bt she alwaz commented on it..

It was one such day wen me n dev had just walked out of maan's cabin!! We d just had a hectic discussion abt last min corrections abt the project before handing it over to the clients!! Dev left to the site to check on d site preparations.. I was fatigued n thot of coffee..

Black obviously!!

Then I thot of asking maan for coffee.. bt even b4 I cud knock his door.. sasha came upto me n started her rant again abt hw I was using my proximity wid bth brothers..

Bt nw I had enuf.. she was getting to my nerves!!

"just shut up sasha..!!"

I finally scream out..

"don't u dare take my silence as my weekness.. just coz I hv been tolerating ur non sense doesn't mean u keep goin on n on.. I dint wish to stoop to ur level!! N just coz I haven't mentioned it to either of them abt this.. don't think its bcoz I cant its just bcoz I alone m enuf to handle riff raff like u.."

I dint care d whole staff was staring at us..

I just left fm der..

Irritated at her.. bt glad I'd answered her back..

As I sat in my cabin, der was a knock on my door.. it was peon.. he kept a hot steaming mug of coffee on my table n walked away..

This is wht I need.. thank u babaji..

But as I sipped it.. it struck me tht obviously it wasn't babaji..

I looked around..

Across the glass barrier, I saw maan sipping his coffee..

He glanced my way..

N I cud swear on babaji.. tht he winked n gave me a smile..

Tht was too much of a shock..

Did this really happen?

Bt b4 I got my senses bk.. he was back to work on his laptop..

Bt I knew he had heard evrythng..

N he approved of wht I had done!!
