yes I know I am stirring up a hornet's nest and am going to get a lot of flak and make a lot of enemies and am going to hold a different point of view from my long time friends such as musicmuse and jaspaltoronto and varsha but I am feeling very bad about Poorvi.
Let me explain.
As I have already stated elsewhere this time's Indian idol has been a huge letdown in terms of perfectly turned out and fully formed singers. And given the limited choice and in spite of Poorvi slipping up on quite a few occasions because of sheer lack of expertise in the genre or exposure to the genre and so not confident of pulling it through and hence choosing to remain safe such as her classical round and the qawaali round, I feel that she was the only I repeat ONLY contestant who had the X-factor in her and who truly performed and also had the voice to do that and as for her genre she truly excelled!!
As for the others, either they don't have the voice or the conviction and they sorely lack the x-factor quotient and I find them so utterly boring and monotonous even if their skills are better.
There is not one singer left who can truly hold my attention. They do sing well but body language is lacking conviction is lacking presence is lacking.
Poorvi was a different person when she came on stage and she sang. She was totally with it, in it, not the others. She commanded attention, not the others.
As for people having problems with her so-called attitude I frankly don't understand. In fact I perceived her as being reserved and shy!!
Anyway I miss her. That's it.
Poorvi here's wishing you a great future. I miss you. You have great presence, a great attitude and a great voice. May you go places!!

I agree...she was at least good in her genre and she literally got me goosebumps when she sang Dhunki and O Meri Jaan! like you said, she definitely had the X-factor and she had a good attempt in the other songs as well, some were bad but she definitely tried and for someone who doesn't sing those kinds or listen to it, was good. She had amazing stage presence, no OTT drama and thank god she didn't have like the saddest exit and stuff, she is very mature and knows that it's not the end if you don't make it...I'm sure she will do great in the future :)

oh and I agree, she didn't really show attitude, she was just shy...when singing she was with it and again she got reserved and shy...definitely I'll miss her

Poorvi was very good in her genre but Devender and Amit are two of the best this season followed by Vipul. Cant complain.
