Search for happiness is also the acquisition of peace of mind.Originally posted by: Freethinker112
I think what matters is our happiness. Whatever we do is to make us happy or what we think will make us happy. We are ready to do hard work if we know that the result will make us happy. Fulfilling of our desires, i think that that's what matters to us.
Yes career etc is all for earning a living and also enjoying some luxury.Originally posted by: Angel-likeDevil
What really matters to me is my career. Nothing above it, not even myself, untill i get it.
Why does career matter to me?For myself! 😆..OK, it really depends on the priorities of the times :) ..right now, this is the only time when I can study, work hard..But yeah, what REALLY matters is money. Why does it matter so much? Because it is 'you' whose life would depend on it...so, think about it, what really matters? It is you, yourself ;)
Search for happiness is also the acquisition of peace of mind.
Our mind is often fickle and our desires endless. So I guess we do need to acquire knowledge too so that we can handle matters.Often there is a choice between doing what we like and doing what is best (or right) and in life we constantly face hurdles and challenges that can rob our peace of mind.It seems that we often live for the sake of others and not always ourselves.
What really matters in our lives depends a lot on what is our goal. Many want to be rich and happy. I think religion and wealth may take priority but if one is unwell then health would be the utmost concern. Some claim knowledge will take priority and some character. To a mother her children would be top prority I think.A student may want good gradesA graduate wants a good jobA young man wants a pretty and clever wifeA nice couple may want childrenSo the list goes on and it never ends...So where do you stand and what are you searching for ?To me I would want a balance of both the physical and spiritual worlds. But Money is still the Second God I think.--It doesn't matter what you do or not do or whether you are rich or poor as long as you have money. 😊
Yes we should try to be contented to some extent.Originally posted by: Freethinker112
Well, to that I will say that contentment also gives us happiness. Whenever you do something good, the feeling inside you of peace and love also makes you happy and makes you feel good. So, doing good makes us feel good.
If we have money we are considered rich materially.😆Originally posted by: Prometeus
