On the contrary, I think you misunderstand - Gurmeet has different types of fans some like you and those who agree with you and others like me and who agree with me - who prefer that he not put himself through everything you have mentioned he is doing for his fans. His health is the most important thing and all the success in the world is worth nothing without good health. Believe me, G-d forbid if he is not successful it will be fans like me there to support him and not fans like you who cannot see things in perspective and objectively.
Gurmeet is an adult and if he chooses to work so much with no sleep, rest and with injury and do 2 shows etc. then that is his prerogative. In my opinion, if I had 2 jobs and got sick etc. then my first priority will be my first job and not the second one. Above all though, Gurmeet's first priority should be himself and his good health. That is the mother in me speaking - I am not some young fan only looking for "drool quotient" of a celebrity but rather I have admiration for the person/actor and their well-being first and foremost. Actually, I have seen how sick and tired he looks in some scenes in Punar Vivaah and appears to have even lost weight - you proved my point he cannot continue like this because as the weeks go by the competition in Jhalak is going to require more and more time and energy and this man is only human for goodness sake.
I only recently came to know about Gurmeet since Punar Vivaah started and have a high regard for his acting skills and his decency as a human being. I started to do a bit of research and must say, I am not impressed with some of the things I am reading, hearing in interviews etc. and with the kind of behaviour of some of his fans, Gurmeet doesn't need enemies - these fans will do enough damage.
You are entitled to your opinion and please let me be entitled to my opinion. I am not going to go back and forth with you like some kind of childish game. And yes, it would have been nice if he was there to accept the award in person - that is my opinion and I am entitled to it.

@ PrincessSJB
I'm not sure where you are taking this conversation
I answered as you all questioned why he didn't attend gold awards. I gave reasons for that. When you already know that he took up Jhalak much before the Gold awards were announced and when you are showing so much concern about his health, then you should not have questioned about his presence in the award function in the first place. Those who have been following him since he started his career know well, how he present for each n every award function. He has collected his award for Ramayan and GHSP in person as at that time he was not jiggling between 2 hectic shoots.
Wonder what made you pass judgement on how I'm as a fan/person and why he is doing what he is doing.

You might have started following him today but I'm following him since his first show Ramayan. His success and failure does not impact my love and admiration for him. Just the way his every single project - big or small - is important to him, it's important to me as well, being his fan. I respect his decisions but that does not mean I agree with them all. But still as long as he is not ethically wrong in life, I'll continue to support him.
He is doing 2 projects at one time, that's his decision. Fans have not forced him into this. It's his career and he has to decide what's right and wrong for him. We all can see he is going weak and are concerned for him but we are still outsider's. He has his family by him who loves him more then anyone else does. So lets leave it for them and Gurmeet himself to decide how they want to shape his career.

You are still stressing on the point of priority esp. when you health is down. I wonder when has Gurmeet ignored Punarvivah because of his health and Jhalak. He is shooting without any break or leaves. Show is his priority and he is giving his 12 hours to it. Rather because of his health his performance on Jhalak got impacted this week. So as human even if Gurmeet chooses to ignore his health and continue with both shows, God is there to take the ultimate decision. In other words, God is there to take care of him, if he is doing something wrong. If God will think he can continue further with 2 projects, he will be safe otherwise he won't be. I have complete faith in almighty and know he won't let anything wrong happen with nice people like Gurmeet.

I might be younger to you or less experience in life, but trust me, I'm don't belong to the mob of young fans who follow Gurmeet because of his looks or drool factor. He is as dear to me as my own family.

I'll put an end to this conversation here only, as even I'm a busy professional & don't have much time to invest in these forums.

Last thing, its up to you if you want to believe in some articles published by some third party or the actor/person whom you admire. And if you are more bothered about his work or the gossips his name is dragged in. Those who have been following him from long, know why there are some who hate him & for what reason. Gurmeet, as a person is no where at fault for the same.
I didn't mean to give such a long lecture but you started from somewhere initially and then diverted the conversation in all directions. Don't know if you were filled up and just wanted to vent out or what.

Freedom of speech on these websites is allowed. Don't try to police what people are saying.
I just said a simple thing that it would be nice if he was there that's all and you decided to respond about things that I know nothing about.
I guess this is why I have been reading on different sites that realistic fans of Gurmeet are leaving in droves because the moment a simple question is asked or a comment is made that some of you don't like then people jump down their throats.
You just have to read the vicious comments about Remo and Shampa when things go wrong for Gurmeet on Jhalak to realize that some of you go off the deep end as fans. I will say here and now Gurmeet is a fabulous actor and a decent human being but defintely not the best dancer on Jhalak so let's not make excuses.
There is so much drama behind the scenes in Jhalak that is being written about and that could also be the cause. Now you will say that it is gossip - when it's not favourable it's gossip but if it is favourable then you same people will be singing the praises of the same sources.
Continue like this and you will definitely be helping Gurmeet's fan base grow - not.
I much rather be the type of fan I am than the type of fan you are.
I decided to end the conversation.
Enough said. Good bye.

Now that you have come out clear with your reason of frustration

First, if you are not happy about him being not present at award function, writing here would not serve any purpose. Share your viewpoint with him directly. Looking at your comments, I don't think there is anything you don't know about. Rather you know all that is happening.

If you made up your mind already, after reading what a set of fans say, I cannot help it and am no where asking you to change from what you are.

Excuses. I don't find any need for them. Gurmeet is an average dancer who has been able to put up some great performances with his hard work and Shampa's guidance. Neither judges are wrong nor choreographer. And if there are some people blaming them when things go wrong, there are others blaming Gurmeet as well. What happens on forums or what fans say is not something which actors can control. Neither that will decide his fan base would increase or decrease.

As per the articles, if he is wrong, he will for sure end up paying the price for it and would also learn from this experience. After all he is a human like us, who cannot be perfect.

Firstly, who are you? Why are you taking things out of context and making it so personal? You don't sound like a fan only but someone who is very close to him and know him personally that's why you cannot leave well alone. You appear to lack comprehension and seem to be very immature that you feel you have to have the last word.
This is the original post that I responded to:
"I really wish Guru and Kratz together receive this award...
We all knew guru had not performed this year for being busy with his JDJ rehearsals...
But do anyone knew whether he had his presence in the event ???"
My original post in response to the above was:
"I too feel that Gurmeet should have been there with Kratika to accept the award for Most Celebrated Jodi. Did someone say he was too busy with Jhalak? Really, I think his first priority should have been Punar Vivaah because Jhalak came after."
and then:
"Abhialka: I am a bit confused by what you wrote: how was Gurmeet busy shooting for PV, practically the entire cast who have scenes with him were at the awards - it was mentioned that he was busy with Jhalak - don't know what is true or not. Besides why was Gurmeet so stressed then - the award show was pre-taped back in July - did something happen that some of us are not aware of?
Wow - you would not watch an entire show because one person was not there - really?"
AND LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE CREATED FROM THE ABOVE:
Now that you have come out clear with your reason of frustration

What frustration are you talking about?

First, if you are not happy about him being not present at award function, writing here would not serve any purpose. Share your viewpoint with him directly. Looking at your comments, I don't think there is anything you don't know about. Rather you know all that is happening.
It's not about being happy - I said it would have been nice (lack of comprehension on your part). You mentioned about Ramayan and all that stuff - Yes, I don't know anything about that (another example of your lack of comprehension).
I can write anywhere I like just like you are doing and so immaturely I may add.
If you made up your mind already, after reading what a set of fans say, I cannot help it and am no where asking you to change from what you are.
The only thing that my mind is already made up about is that Gurmeet is a fabulous actor and appears to be a very decent man. You can keep on misinterpreting all you want. I am a fan but I don't pretend to know more about him than I do. Unless, as I have already said you don't sound like a fan only because you seem to speaking as a family member speaking on behalf of his family.
Honestly, you are making mountains out of molehills - do you really go around shredding and dissecting every remark made about Gurmeet like this? If yes, you seem to have a very unhealthy interest in him for a fan and seem to have a lot of time on your hands - go find something more useful to do with your time and stop creating havoc on these sites.
As per the articles, if he is wrong, he will for sure end up paying the price for it and would also learn from this experience. After all he is a human like us, who cannot be perfect.
That goes without saying for anyone not only Gurmeet - so your point is? Just being facetious are you? Take a chill pill and give it a rest.
GIVE PEACE A CHANCE - YOU JUST MIGHT LIKE IT.
