Chapter 21: Blind Trust
Part 1 Arnav neared his face to hers' and he rested his forehead against hers' : " Say the three words that you said , when I was about to leave the terrace "
Khushi was trying to remember what she said , and when she remembered , she blushed and looked down ..
Arnav in his husky voice: " I'm waiting Khushi "
Khushi was silent for few moments and finally she decided to say it ... She whispered : " I love you Arnav ... I love you "
She stared at him, directly into his eyes .. She was waiting for him to say something, he didn't .. But she saw something very different in his eyes, something she never saw .. his eyes were shining and showing glamor ..
Though Arnav know that she love him, but hearing these words from her mouth aroused his feeling, he felt his heart jumped from it place, he felt a sudden warm in his body, as he heard it..
She waited him to confess his love too, but he didn't , he was only looking into her eyes absent mindedly ..
She pulled her face back, and pouted her lips .. then she said : " But unfortunately , It is a one sided love !"
Arnav frowned his forehead and said: " What ?!"
Khushi turned her face and said in a kiddish voice : " What what ?! .. isn't you said that you hate me ?!"
Arnav opened his eyes in surprised, but soon, he remembered that he really said that when he was angry .. he raised one of his hand and caressed her cheek and said : " Khushi ... I'm really sorry for saying that .. I was ..."
Khushi put her finger on his lips to stop him from continuing .. she moved her hand from his lips to squeeze one of his hand , which was in her cheek ..
Khushi: " You don't have to apologize Arnav , I know you didn't mean that ,I know that you ... "
She blushed and waited for him to say it .. he smirked and asked her: " I'm what ?!"
Khushi: " You should say it "
Arnav: " Say what ?!"
Khushi frowned : " Arnav .. stop acting so foolish .. "
Arnav smiled .. both of them were silent, just looking at each other ..
Khushi whispered : " Won't you say it ?!"
Arnav raised his brow and said: " You said that you already know.. so what the need of saying it "
Khushi was pissed off, she clenched her jaw, and pushed him strongly , and then she slip down from the terrace's fence ..
She stood in front of him , her hands on her hips ,, she said: " won't you say it ?" ..
Arnav folded his arms , and raised his right eye's brow ..
khushi angrily :" OK .. As you like " ..
She said and walked away , she only stopped when he warped her waist by his arms from behind , and pulling her toward him , her back collided with his hard chest, she closed her eyes and lost in the sense of his touch.. He was fondling her bar waist with a very soft touches by his finger's tips ..
He dipped his face on her hair ..
He said : " you want to hear it ?".
.khushi nodded ..
he brought his head forward and rested it on her shoulders .. he whispered directly into her ears: " I ... "
Khushi heart's pules increased dangerously, she was eager to her it from him .. Arnav: " I .. Lo ... "
khushi waited few second before saying impatiently: " you what "
Arnav:" Khushi I think.."
she turned to him , she opened her eyes and gripped him by his tie , she said angrily: " I don't care about what you think now, Ok ! .. You know that I'm eager to hear it , and you changed the topic ..! Say it now .. Now " ..
She noticed that Arnav was looking at something behind her .. She turned to see what he was looking at, and her jaw dropped after seeing Liza behind her , she looked like she was talking in her phone, but she ended up staring at them in surprise ..

Khushi was standing with Liza .. She was very embarrassed after knowing that Liza saw them in that position, his hands in her bare waist and his chin rested on her shoulder .. And she was pulling him toward her using his tie ..
khushi knows that its a very normal thing , and even she know sit was nothing comparing to what Liza do with her boyfriend, but still it was very embarrassing to her ..
Liza was smiling a naughty smile to Khushi .. It was very obvious to Liza that Khushi has a feelings for Arnav, but she never thought that Khushi will admit and accept that, and that fast.. After what she saw today, she realized that she was wrong , her - men hater's- friend was so much in love that she stood against her believes that she spent years and years trying to convince others with it, but she now forgot it all ..
She whispered in Khushi's ear : " I think that I interrupted you both from an important thing.. You were very exited " ..
khushi: " N .. No .. No thing important, we were discussing few things about the company next show " she said foolishly ..
Liza raised her brows : " Ohh .. Now I knew why he was circling you waist, he was measuring it size for the show's dressest " and she giggled ..
Liza : "Don't think that you can fool me so easily .. you will confess to us every thing very soon .. "
Khushi turned her face away from Liza , and she beheld Arnav , he was looking at her and he was trying his best to hide his smile, and was enjoying .. She gave him an angry look before turning her face away from him too ..

Khushi and her mom and sister were about to leave the party, when they saw Arnav ..
He stood in front of her mother and said : " Aunty, You are going ?! "
Garima smiled and nodded ..
Arnav: " I'm leaving too .. come I will drive you to your house. " ..
Garima smiled: " Thanks beta .. But we will go by the taxi, he will come within few minuses .. "
Arnav: " Don't be shy , your house is in my way .. "
Grima agreed after Arnav's insistence
They went with Arnav to his car, Garima sat next to Arnav, while Khushi and Sonu sat in the back .. Arnav was trying to look at Khushi through the mirror , but he didn't look at him since she was busy in a gossip with Sonu , and she noticed that she was ignoring him intentionally ..
They reached their house ,, Garima and Sonu thanked Arnav while Khushi ignored him ..
When they were about to enter their house ,.
Arnav said : " Khushi .. Don't forget to bring the file of ABC group deal that Sara told you to prepare , tomorrow!"
Khushi looked at him in surprise : " What ?! .. I didn't prepare anything, Sara didn't told me anything !"
Arnav rolled his eyes : " I thought that Sara informed you, can you came for few minutes , I will tell you what you have to do ! "
Garima: " go and see what he want " ..khushi nodded, she walked toward his car .. While Sonu and her mother went inside the house ..
khushi opened the door and sat next to him, she saw him smirking and she knew that it was a plan to be alone with her .. She folded her arms and pouted ..
Arnav: " my princess is angry ?! "
Khushi noticed that he called her - my princess - she liked how Arnav pampered her, but she didn't replayed to him ..
Arnav leaned toward her:" why you looks angry , and why you are ignoring me !"
Khushi turned to face him : " you don't know why ? .. Because of you, I was embarrassed in front of Liza and I'm sure that she will told Ishu, and they will not leave me alone with their teasing ... and you was laughing at me and my embarrassment ?"
Arnav : "firstly, its your fault, you were the one who followed me to the terrace, and you were the one who insisted to me to say these words.. "she opened her eyes and mouth in shock ...
Arnav continued:" secondly, I wasn't smiling trying to mock you "
Khushi : " Then why you was smiling and trying to hold your laughter ?"
Arnav leaned more closer to her .. And whispered: "It was the effect of that three words that I heard from you ... You want to try these words' effect ? "..
She closed her eyes, just imagining it tickled her feeling , how she will feel when he say it ?!..
She opened her eyes completely as she felt her heart jump away from it place after hearing him whispering " I love you .." She turned to him, she stared at his face, that show the amount of love that he hold for her ..
He toke her hand from her lap, and he joined their hand together tightly, and neared it to his mouth, to print a soft kiss on it ..
Khushi : " Arnav "
looked at her ..
Khushi said while blushing : " Is the offer still stand "
Arnav wrinkled his forehead trying to understand what she was talking about .. when he understand what she was trying to say .. he smiled and he said teasingly : " Unfortunately , it was limited time offer ! "

Part 2 She entered the living room .. Sonu looked at her, she wrinkled her forehead as she saw her sister status ..
Sonu moved to her sister and waved her hand to her and said: " Did he give you a promotion, or did he increased your salary ?!"
Khushi : " What .. promotion and salary ... No he didn't ?!"
Sonu : " anyone who will see you smiling like that, and happiness shining from you eyes, will think that you got a promotion !" She said and returned back to the sofa ..
Khushi tried to hide her smile, and followed Sonu , and she said : " I'm just happy for Ishu .."
Garima coming from the kitchen and said : " You are happy like that for Ishu's engagement, What you will do in your engagement day ?!"
Khushi opened her eyes, and blushed .. she couldn't stay with them any longer, or they will doubt her , she stood and said: " I .. I will go to prepare the file for tomorrow ... Good night"
She said and walked to her room ..
Sonu laughed : " Mom .. did you noticed that Khushi didn't say that she don't want to marry , this time "
Garima nodded and smiled ..

The next day..
Khushi was bored, she was waiting for 4 o'clock , so that she can go to AR group .. Arnav told her that she should resume her working from today ..
She was very happy.. happy because Arnav forgave her about the ring indecent , happy because she know that there some one support her, and can feel her pain , happy because she told him that she love him, and he told her that she love her too , thought she know that previously.. yesterday was the best day of her life .. she prayed to God to keep them always happy, and together ..
When It was 4 o'clock, she went to the company, she sat in her office, and started her work .. there was a lot of work since she didn't came since long time ..
Arnav reached the company after an hour, he immediately went to Khushi's office, he saw her involved with typing on the PC .. and he was thankful, that Mandy wasn't with her ..
He stood in her office entrance door , he saw her very involved with her work , he entered her office, and walked toward her,, and she still didn't notice him.. He stood behind her, toke the mouse from her hand, he saved her work before shitting down the computer .. khushi turned to see who was that, and she saw Arnav .. She was wondering why did he do that ..
khushi: " what you are doing ?" ..
Arnav held her hand and pull her to stand and walk with him ..
khushi tried to resist : " Arnav I'm talking to you .. What you are doing ? .. Let me finish my work, I have a lot of important works to do"
Arnav : " but not more important than our lives and future " he smiled ,,

The reached the same place that they were in , few days ago .. They stood in the same place they were in .. Arnav knelt on one leg just as he was that day .. He toke the same box and The same ring ..
Before Arnav could open his mouth, Khushi put her fingers in his lips..She was in tears as she felt that Arnav always achieves her wishes without a word from her ..
All the days after that day, she wished if the time can back to the moment when he proposed her, and now, they were now just as how they were in that day ..
She smiled and cupped his face : " I will be the happiest girl if I become your wife,I .. I want to spend my life with you .. "
khushi: " But .. Can we talk before anything ?" ..
Arnav expression translate from happiness to confusion ..
Arnav: " what ? Talking about what ? .. "
khushi caressed his cheeks and said : " Don't worry Arnav, I didn't change my mind .. Just I want to talk to you and tell you all what in my heart .. "

They were setting in one of the chairs.. Arnav arms behind Khushi, and he was slightly turned to her side..
khushi: " You know Arnav, before you entered my life and change it .. I never thought about marriage, marrying was something impossible .. My only goal in it was to graduate, and have a good job with a good salary .. And then force my mother to resign .. I wanted to compensate her for every thing she faced in her life, for every thing she did for us " ..
She felt her eyes filled with tears ..
Arnav : " Khushi , you feel that I put you in tough situation , to chose between me , and your mother ?" ..
khushi turned and looked at him with full open eyes .. She said: " Arnav please don't take me wrong .. You are the best thing that happened to me .. I just told you that because, you are the only one that I can open my heart to .. I can freely express what I feel , and I'm sure that you will not misunderstand me .."
Khushi's words touched his heart ..Arnav smiled to her and pulled her head to rest in his chest ..
Arnav: " Khushi, yesterday when I returned to my apartment, I was thinking about our future, from all aspects .. Including your mother and sister .. You know Khushi, your mother is a great women , she is very brave and responsible .. I respect her since our first encounter, when you told me that she will prevent you from working, if she knew that you was a waiter because she don't want you to suffer and get tierd in anyway , and yesterday, I respected her more and more ... "
Arnav contiued: " I lost my mother when I was 14, and I'm now 28 .. But till now I wished if she was there , if I can open my heart to her, if she can scold me when I am wrong ... Although Di tried to cover her absence, but no one can cover it .. When yesterday you told me about what your mother did, I wished that my mother was strong like her, If she was , I would never felt of that ... khushi you should be very proud of your mother, she a rare gum .. "
Khushi pulled back from his chest, and looked at his face .. She saw a deep pain in his eyes ..
khushi: " Arnav .. Till me about your self more, tell me about your family .. Tell about ... your mother .."
Arnav took a deep breath .. He told her about his happy childhood, he told her what happened in his Di wedding day .. He told her about his mother suicde, how they suffered after that when his uncle expelled them from their house .. and How he build him self as ASR ..
khushi was very affected by what he told her .. She new a lot of new thing about him .. She new that he too suffer in his life too, she knew that he too witness a cheating from the most closets people .. She felt that their past was similar .. She realized that he is self made man .. In that moment she loved and respected him more and more ..
khushi with teary eyes: " You are very strong Arnav .. your past is painful just as my past .. but you didn't let it effect you present .. unlike me "
Khushi rested her head again in his chest ..
Arnav said : " Let's focus in the most important thing .. your mother .. Khushi I think your mother should return back to her country, with us .. "
Khushi: " I hope if that easy as it seems .. Arnav we didn't have anyone there .. even my Aunt who helped us, she passed away 4 years ago .. her daughter and husband askedus many times to came and visit us .. but my mother refused .. she didn't want to back there again even as a short visit .. As much as my mother is strong, when it came to her memories with my father she became weak ., and there, a lot of sad memories .. I don't think that she will agree " ..
Arnav : " We will try with her .. we should convince her by that .. and I promise you Khushi that I will try my best to convince her "
Khushi : " Thanks a lot Arnav "..
After a few moments of silence .. Arnav said: " So now , I can call my family and asked them to came here, and ask your hand from your mother .. right !"
Khushi nodded shyly , and said: " Yes .. but let me finish my final exams and focus in it , and then I will talk to my mother, and you can talk to you family .. and then ... "
Arnav playfully : " and then, no one can stop me from doing what in my mind since the first time I saw you "
Khushi looked at him confused : " What you mean "
Arnav: " I cannot tell you what I mean, but I can show you .. Do you want me to show you ?!"
Khushi noticed how he was devouring her with his eyes, and how his voice was sexy .. she understand what he meant .. she turned her face away from him as she was blushing hardly ..

Part 3 khushi was busy studying for her final exams which will be after 3 days.. And that resulted in minimizing the time that she and Arnav spending together .. They only meets for few minutes in her office when she came to the company .. And she finished her work, he drive her back to her home and spend another few minutes that didn't suffice him at all ..
That was their status during the last days ..
Arnav didn't like that, but he couldn't do anything, he didn't wanted to disturb her studying ..

He went to her office .. And sat in the chair ..
Arnav:" How are your studies going ?"
Khushi: " Good .. But there is something in one of my course that I didn't understand .. and that because of you " she pouted
Arnav wrinkled his forehead : " what .. Me ?" ..
khushi nodded : " Yup .. You are the responsible for that " ..
Arnav folded his arms and raised his eyes brow: " How?"
Khushi smiled shyly and said : " when the professor was explaining the materials, I didn't pay attention to his explanation .. I was .. I was thinking about you .. "
A wide smile appeared in Arnav face, he walked toward her , when he was in front of her, he leaned toward her, and rested his hand on the chair's arm ..
Arnav: " so its only me who thinking about you .. You are in the same boat .. I'm sure you are thinking about me in the same way I'm thinking about you " .. He said, and brushed his nose against hers' ..
khushi pushed him and said: " Of course no .. "
Arnav smirked: " How could you say that without knowing what I'm thinking about ?"
Khushi turned the chair away from him and said: " I don't know what exactly in your mind ... but I know that you are .. shameless "
She felt the chair turned in ultra-speed .. She saw Arnav smirking, as usual ..He leaned toward her slowly, while whispering: " I'm not shameless.. But I'm in love"
A shy smile played in Khushi's lips as he said that , she noticed that he his lips were only few centimeters away from hers' .. She quickly brought her hand and put her fingers as a bar between them .. Arnav open his eyes wondering why did she stopped him..
Khushi: I should leave now, I want to study the cost based pricing .. I'm trying to understand it since yesterday, but I couldn't" ..
Arnav: " cost based pricing? .. I think that I can recover my mistake of preventing you from focuing in the lecture !"
Khushi: " How ?!"
Arnav: "I can explain it to you .. and I have a CD that explain it very well with examples .. "
Khushi in excitement : " really !.. thank you .. "
she stood and binged a plain paper and a pencil .. And gave it to Arnav .. She said: " you can start yourexplnation" ..
Arnav rolled his eyes and said: " here ?"
Khushi: " then where ?"
Arnav : " In my apartment .. I should find the CD I told you about "
Khushi opened her eyes and mouth: " In your .. apartment! "
Arnav trying to hide his smile after saying her reaction: " I swear that I will not eat you Khushi "
Khushi rubbed her neck embarrassed, and said: " I know that but ... "
Arnav: " oh I understand .. I promise you to not to try to be .. Shameless" he smirked ..
khushi looked down shyly: " I .. I know ... But ..."
Arnav: " but what ?"
Khushi: " No thing "
Arnav: " so let's go " he said and pulled her with him ..

He opened the door and hold it for Khushi to enter ..
Khushi hesitantly entered .. she remembered the first time when she came her .. it was after Arnav saved her from Karan , and made her change her torn shirt ..
Arnav entered and closed the door .. he ask her to set while he will bring the CD and his laptop ..
She sat there, and was looking at his living room admiring it .. it was a classy living room with its White and olive color ..
Arnav came with his laptop .. they both sat in the ground around the table .. and Arnav start explaining to her .. only Arnav's phone interrupted them .. he stood to answer it and walked back and forth in the living room ..
When he ended the call, he turned to Khushi .. but he saw her head resting on the table , she seemed that she slept .. he moved toward her, and shake her to woke her up .. but she didn't ..
he smiled, and thought that she should be tired as she was studying very hard, beside working .. he didn't know what he should do .. woke her up to study, or let her sleep and take a rest for some time ..
He tried to woke her up again, but there was no response from Khushi .. he decided to let her sleep for sometime .. he picked her in his arms , and walked to his bedroom .. he lied her in his bed and covered her ..
he spent some minutes staring at this beautiful sight .. its the first time that he see her while she is sleeping .. and she was like an angel .. he couldn't resist his desire to touch her rosy cheeks .. he caressed her face softly .. and when he reached her lips, he rubbed it with his thumb .. he wanted to kiss her lips , not only kissing her lips , he wanted to toke her in his arms and sense every spot of her .. but of course he will not .. he will not even kiss her now , he promised her that he will not be "shameless" ..
He smiled at the word that Khushi choose to describe him ..
he stood and walked away from her, after all he is a man in love with the girl which was in his bed , and he cannot insure his self control for long time ..
he took his towel and walked to the bathroom to take a bath till Khushi wake up ..

Arnav came out from the bathroom, he was drying his hair , and walked toward his wardrobe to take a shirt .. he wore the shirt, but before buttoning the buttons, he moved toward Khushi, who was still in a deep sleep .. he checked a time and decided to woke her up now ..he sat next to her, and he shake her but there was no response from Khushi ..
he smiled and neared his face to Khushi's .. then he shake his head, and the sprayed the water which was in his wet hair face ..
He saw Khushi opening her eyes slowly, her expression show annoyance .. she stared at him..
after about a minutes , she turned her face to check where she was , she opened her eyes as she looked back at Arnav and noticed his almost bare chest .. she gasped and said: " Where I am ?!
Arnav with a husky voice : " In my bed room"
Khushi opened her eyes as she heard him, and noticed her bare chest : " What I'm doing here ?!"
Arnav decided to play with her .. he raised his left brow and said: " What would a girl do in a shameless man's bed ?!"
Khushi rolled her eyes .. she pushed him , sat and toke the quilt from her ..
Khushi: " I know and I'm sure that you didn't do anything, you even didn't kiss me !"
Arnav folded his arms and said: " and how could you be that Sure .. didn't you say that I'm a shamless .. and a shameless man can do anything !"
Khushi smiled : "You promised me , and you always keeps you promises .. I trust you Arnav ..
I trust you, blindly " she said and closed the distance between their faces slowly, to kiss him ..
Arnav felt a strange feeling as she said that she trusted him blindly .. he was afraid that he will broke her any moment .. He loves her very much, but he was hiding an important thing from her , which is his past with relationships and girls ..
he didn't know how will she react if she knew about that .. will she accept him him regardless of his past , or will she leave him and back to believe that all the men are same ?!
after a lot of conflicted thoughts and feelings, he decided that he should told her, before knowing from other source and lost her trust on him ..
After she pulled back, he stood and turned his back to him, and started buttoning his shirt ..
Khushi was confused ,, he didn't kissed her back .. and he walked away immediately after her kiss ..
Khushi : " A.. Arnav .. is there is .. something wrong "
Arnav took a deep breath before turning to her slowly : " Khushi .. I should tell you very important thing "
Khushi was scared after seeing his expression , she said : " W.. what !?"
Arnav sat next to her and toke her hands on his' ..
Arnav: " Khushi .. I want you to know .. that .. before knowing and loving you .. I had .. relationships with many .. girls!"
