Farah wants Shah Rukh Khan to promote Joker

That Shirish Kunder doesn't go all out to promote his films is well known. However, rumours suggested, the filmmaker would possibly make an exception this time, especially since it involved visiting Shah Rukh Khan's bungalow, Mannat, along with his wife Farah Khan. And as readers may recall, a lot has been said about the patch up between SRK and him, post the infamous spat between them earlier this year.

But when D-day arrived, it seems Shirish gave the outing a miss. We learnt the meeting was arranged mainly to discuss Farah's next, Happy New Year, starring SRK. However, it also resulted in a fun video featuring Shah Rukh along with the now popular aliens of Shirish's upcoming film, Joker.

A source told TOI, "Farah had gone to meet SRK in the afternoon to discuss Happy New Year as he is leaving later this week for the shoot of Yash Chopra's untitled film. After a while, they started chatting about Joker and the aliens. Farah asked SRK if he wanted to see them, and he agreed. She made a quick call to the production house and told them to send the aliens to Mannat."

The source added, "The aliens were spotted entering Mannat and SRK also did a fun video with them. Despite being busy with a photo shoot with Daboo Ratnani at Mannat, the actor did the video simultaneously for Farah."

Said Farah, "Shah Rukh is family and it was very sweet of him to take some time out for Joker." Indeed, even SRK has always maintained that Farah is like family and nothing can change between them. While Farah's brother Sajid Khan had played mediator between her hubby and SRK after their fight, it is learnt the bond between Farah and SRK has only strengthened ever since. Besides, they have two hit films to their credit: Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om. Shirish's Joker starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha is slated for an August 31 release.

She managed to give two hits thanks to SRK otherwise who'd watch crap like OSO and Main hoon na? She's pathetic and SRK's a fool to fall into her cheap tricks

The sad part is he knows he's being used by his so called 'FRIENDS' but doesn't seem to care. Perhaps he purposely gives a blind eye to that. How much I wanna see him working with people like Vishal, Anurag Kashyap, Anurag Basu etc. He gives priority to his friends and end up making crap flicks whereas he has so much potential to give another Swades or Kabhi haa kabhi naa or CDI :(
