((This part is written in Arnav and Khushi's POV's because they haven't met yet.))

FRIDAY MORNING

She was just putting the finishing touches to her last report of the day when her office door swung open..."KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA...HOW COULD YOU??" This might sound weird but this was the customary way for Payal to enter her office whenever she was angry with Khushi, something that happened at least once a day. Usually it was a signal for Khushi to sit up in her chair and listen...just listen and not utter a word...for an hour or so as Payal shouted at her for not having brought a particular dress or for not going out with a particular guy or...well the list went on and on...Payal could find any number of reasons to be angry with Khushi. But Khushi put up with this because she knew that Payal always meant the best for her...that Payal was the one person that she could trust to always have her back...to always be there for her no matter what. Khushi smiled as she was somehow reminded of the first time they'd met...it had been a rainy day...

Payal's voice broke her reverie" Honestly Khushi how can you sit there smiling when I'm so angry and upset??"Khushi looked up to see Payal leaning against the door, hands folded in front of her chest, a scowl on her face...her typical "I'm really angry with you" pose. Khushi tried to calm her down.

"I'm sorry I was just...anyway what were you saying??"

Payal huffed and sat down in front of her friend

"I was just saying that you are one lucky bitch. I've been waiting for that post for a year..a whole freaking year...I've hinted to Karan a million times...but when the spot comes up...he gives it to you...you who didn't even try"...she held her hands up in a dramatic gesture " I just knew that guy had something for you.."

Khushi looked at Payal...she had no clue what this was all about...

"What are you saying...what post are you talking about??"

Payal got up from her seat as if she'd just received a 1000 volts shock...she picked Khushi from her chair and shook her...

"You mean you don't know...OMG...save this gal...Babes you're gonna be the manager of...wait for it...ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA!!!!!!!"

Khushi rolled her eyes at her friend and went back to her seat. Ya right...she was gonna be the manager of The ASR...The captain of The Indian Cricket Team...The Hottest sportsperson of the year according to god knows how many polls...The ASR who had millions of girls swooning over him

"Nice joke Payal!"

"She isn't joking Gupta..."

They both look up to see Karan Malhotra, their boss and the son of owner of the agency, walking towards them.

"You really are gonna be his manager Khushi...after much persuading he chose our agency to represent him and I thought that you were the best candidate for the job...and that's "he turned to Payal "not because I have a thing for her..!"

Payal turned red when she learnt that he'd heard her; but as she opened her mouth to apologize Karan beat her to it...

"Anyway...I've to go for a meeting now...He'll be here at 10 tomorrow Khushi so don't be late...We all know how punctual he is.." he winked at her and left😉😉.

Khushi and Payal just stared at each other before they finally started to squeal and did their happy dance...Payal hugged Khushi...

"I'm so happy for you Khushi...imagine...my best friend is gonna be the manager of ASR...it's so amazing Na!!!!!!!!"

Khushi looked at her friend and her eyes began to water slightly...how could Payal be so selfless...after all she was the one who worked so hard for this post...She was the one who really deserved it and yet here she was feeling happy that Khushi had got it..😭😭😭

.Payal was shocked to see tears in her friend's eyes...

"Why are you crying Drama Queen??"

"I'm just thinking that I'm so lucky to have a friend like you...'

"Well then count your lucky stars and take me out...PARTY TIME!!!!!!!!'👏👏👏

SATURDAY MORNING

He opened his eyes and shut them off immediately...it took him a few minutes to get used to the harsh sunlight streaming from the window...as his eyes adjusted he looked around unsure of where he was...he saw the two girls lying beside him and then he remembered...he was at his usual hotel...he foggily remembered the memories of last night...how he'd met these two girls in the pub...how they'd been so desperate to please him...how he'd brought them here and they'd done things for him they wouldn't dream to do to other men...he didn't remember their names...not that it mattered...he wasn't gonna see them ever again...but they'd remember him all their lives...every time they saw him play or see his advertisements they'd blush and remember how they'd screamed his name as they'd climaxed multiple times.

He got out of bed and got dressed...he kept a wad of notes on the side table for them to clear the bills and then walked out of the room without waking them. Once in the lobby, he dialled the number he dialled first thing every Saturday morning...

"Aman get my car up front..!!" 

He walked outside from the back entrance and was pleased to see his car there with the engine running. He got in and lay back relaxed as Aman drove him to his city apartment. His phone vibrated and he picked i to see a reminder of his 10 am meeting with his new manager...he looked at the time...it was 9:45 already...

"Well i guess they'll have to wait for ASR won't they" he mused to himself with a smirk as his car drove on...!!😎

She was pacing her office furiously sneaking annoying glances at the door. She took a quick a look at the clock and became angrier and stormed out of her cabin. She looked at the empty office and sighed. She had arrived early today in anticipation of meeting the ASR but the elusive cricketer was yet to put up an appearance.

I've worked with so many people in my life...I understand if some is half an hour late..even an hour late...but ASR is over 4 hours late...what does he think of himself!!!!!!

As it was Saturday everyone had a half day and had left at one. As Karan was not able to reach Arnav he had asked Khushi to wait for him here because he was a very important client and they couldn't afford to lose his contract...Karan would've stayed with her but his dad had to go to the doctor and Karan had to go with him.

Khushi was getting very impatient...she had cancelled all her meetings of today and so had been practically jobless all day. She had tried to do so many things to while her time but all in vain...Nothing seemed to hold her interest today. She decided to go to the canteen and get herself something to eat.

When she reached there, the canteen was deserted. She went to the oven and smiled when she saw that Farhan, the chef, had left her a plate of his delicious jalebis...

Karan must've asked him to do that...so sweet of him...at least there will be something good today..!

She picked up the plate and walked to her cabin. But instead of going in to her jail for the day, she decided to stand by the huge office window and look outside at the circus that always was happening on the Delhi streets. She stood there eating her jalebis and listening to a song she had put on on her mobile...she hummed along...

Soon she was lost into the song and had already kept the plate of finished jalebis on the table nearby...she had closed her eyes and was silently singing along when she suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder...she freaked out and turned so suddenly that she lost her balance and had to hold the arm of the person in front of her to steady herself...once she got her footing she looked up to see right into the eyes of a furious Arnav Singh Raizada!!!!!!!! 

                                                               ARNAV

He walked out of his car and made his way to the building. He could see some girls eyeing him but right now he was in no mood to entertain them. When he'd reached his apartment his good mood hadn't lasted long.

FLASHBACK

When he'd entered in his best friend Aakash was sitting on the couch waiting for him. As Arnav had led himself in Aakash had stood up angrily...

"Where the hell were you last night...I tried calling you a million times...where was your phone??? Do you even know how much trouble you landed us into??"

Arnav looked at his friend confused..."My phone was in the car buddy...I'm sorry...but what's the problem?"

"What's the problem...what's the problem...I'll tell you...What date was it yesterday?"

Aranv sighed...he hated when Aakash questioned him this way.

"15^th October..."

"And what was scheduled to happen on 15^th October?"

Arnav began getting irritated.." I dunno damnit...just spit it out Aakash...stop talking in circles"

"Does the name Mr. Sameer Khurana strike a chord...?"

"Sameer...oh my god...it was the sponsors meeting yesterday...shit I forgot...oh god...I'm so sorry Aki...I just..."

Aakash cut him off..."Now don't start apologizing Arnie...do you even know how much problem your absence created yesterday...I had to make all sorts of excuses that you weren't well and stuff...You just took your pick of chicks to bed while I had to deal with all the mess and all the wrath of Sameer...You should have seen how smug that Shyam looked when Sameer called you irresponsible...Really Arnie...sometimes i wonder if i'm your friend or your secretary..."

Arnav walked to his friend and put his hand on his shoulder.." You're the bestest buddy a man could ever get Aki...I'm really sorry about yesterday...I just plain forgot and I'd forgotten my phone in the car so I didn't even see the reminder...I'm really sorry..."

It had taken him over two hours to convince Aakash and that to only on the condition that he would attend Sameer's party that night.

Arnav grimaced at the idea of having to attend that party...He hated the people who came there and tried to butter him up...He hated trying to be polite to every jerk present there..and most of all he hated attending a party with no females around...Sameer's party only had the political leaders and big businessmen in attendance and their talks bored the hell out of him...But drat..he'd have to go...he'd promised Aakash...with a sigh he entered the office and looked shocked to see no one around...

He looked around not understanding why there was no one there to welcome him and escort him to his manager...just when he'd decided to leave he'd caught a glimse of the girl in pink standing near the window...He decided to go ask her...

When he came closer he saw that she was slowly swaying to the music and singing along...he saw her reflection in the window pane and looked at her innocent face with her eyes closed, her lips moving a bit as she hummed along and her hair sashaying on her face...He went to talk to her and placed a soft hand on her shoulder but she turned wildly and it was all he could do to  keep standing as she strongly held his arm trying to regain her balance...he was about to shout at her for being careless but stopped short when her blue eyes looked into his emerald ones...

While the two looked at each other, a new song came on Khushi's phone and it was as if God was making his future plans and intentions clear...

Ooo...this is how it starts...lightning strikes the heart...goes off like a gun...BRIGHTER THAN THE SUN!!!

OOO...we could be the stars...falling from the sky...shining how we want...BRIGHTER THAN THE SUN!!!!!!!!!!!!
