The White King rushes off to see his Queen in the dead of night. He wishes to see her but doesn't want to disturb the peace of her Kingdom. He senses her and rushes off to see her. They meet and they bare their heart open. They find solace in each other's arms.
Arnav and Khushi are fast reaching the point where they have to be together. This is significantly different from the dynamics between Pink Payash and Slippery Shyanjali. They have a huge, huge investment in each other and without one another, they would simply die on their feet.
Khushi said, he doesn't need to apologize. But it is for him to give her her right. It is her right to be asked for forgiveness. Yes, she has forgiven him long before but she had to be asked for it. They talk about their feelings for the first time face to face. They really talk about it and soak in the love and the peace, however temporary it may be.
The opposing Bishops are together in a conference. The Black Bishop is still angered by the day's proceedings. She attempts to taint the mind of the White Bishop, who is being grossly underestimated by the Black Bishop. She staunchly defends her Queen and is determined to do so at any cost. But the Black Bishop is distracted momentarily. The potential connection with a past she deems best forgotten is brought up and she at first glance, seems shocked.
The battlelines are being very subtly established. Nani on the truths, while Hitler Dadi on the untruths. Hitler Dadi is not going to give up easily. But Nani won't let anything malign Khushi, not if she can help it. I have always thought that Nani sees herself in Khushi. They both are very similar. I simply adore Nani.
Hitler Dadi is very cunning. But there's a difference between intelligence and cunning. Arnav had months ago, voiced the difference. Slippery Shyam and Hitler Dadi are not intelligent. Nani and Arnav are intelligent. The truth never remains hidden and Hitler Dadi will pay her dues, just as Arnav and Khushi are paying now. Every single character will pay their dues. Destiny demands it.
Then we find the exiled Queen Mother praying for guidance, strength and protection for her daughter the reigning White Queen. She is lost and she holds the key to the dreaded Pandora's Box which is in her daughter's possession. She is worried and rightly so and she cannot be calmed down by the White Bishop.
There is a reason why Khushi calls Garima "Amma" instead of "Massi". It's because Garima loves Khushi immensely. Her way of loving Khushi is subtle, much like Khushi's love for Arnav, which is why you don't see it very clearly. She loves Khushi. She is worried about her "Chotti bacchi". Notice the words she uses, "Darling little child".
Like a child, Khushi has been sheltered from reality from a very young age, much like Anjali. But unlike Anjali, she has the strength to face life head-on. Garima's fear stems from the wish for her daughter to not face what she and quite possibly her birth mother did. She wants to protect Khushi from heartache. Garima touched me today. Her prayers where all for Khushi. How can a mother let her daughter fall into the abyss when she can save her?
Buaji finds her in the dark. She turns on the light. She had done this years ago when Garima was quite possibly attacked (metaphorically) by Hitler Dadi. She will guide Garima and lead her out the maze.
Buaji says her "Nandkishore and Devi Mayya" will fix all the grief and turmoil caused by Hitler Dadi. I interpret this as Arnav and Khushi will heal all the wounds caused by Dadi, deliberate and the collateral damage. Buaji often calls Arnav "Nandkishore" and we know Khushi is the representation of Devi Mayya in all their loves. Buaji is correct when she said this.
A moment of laughter amidst the calm before the storm. The White Bishop and the exiled Queen Mother tease the Queen silently and she shyly returns to her abode.
You can only sleep peacefully when your mind is free of burden. Buaji said, "There's someone else who can't sleep like you." Both Garima and Arnav were amongst the ones who were impacted the most in the WW1 (as I shall refer to the incident henceforth). They are still "actively" burdened by it and are still paying the price. Their salvation: Khushi. Khushi is the answer to everyone's salvation because amongst all of them, she has suffered the most in both WW1 and the battles pre-WW2 for absolutely to fault of hers. She still hasn't been given justice. Until that time comes, each cycle is going be even more vicious and cruel than the one before.
The Black Queen and the White Knight wait eagerly and sleepily for the White King to return. When he returns they attempt to tease him but he gracefully saves his rather perfect posterior 😳.
Darling Di's eagerness was actually quite infectious. She wants to savour the moment she has been waiting for her entire life: Chotte in Love. She makes NK stay with her and when Arnav returned they tried their best to take him down. NK's "answer-question" was a very interesting dialogue. Arnav needs to ask the right questions in order to find the right answer. He has for so long been asking, "Why did Maa do that?" or "Why did Khushi do that?" The questions he should have been asking was "Why did Dad do that?" and "Why did Shyam do that?" How could he have gotten the right answers when he had been asking the wrong questions all the while?
The Black Queen's health seems fragile and the White King tucks her into bed.
Anjali concerned me, but I missed scenes such as these. Scenes like these are what makes the show realistic.
The King moves to return to his room, when he hears the Black Bishop maligning his Queen. He is furious and he strives to fix all issues which are being blown out of proportions.
HItler Dadi and Arnav have another thing in common. When in doubt, they withdraw, come up with a plan and attack. So far, Arnav hasn't failed in any of his plans. His plans may not have been right, but they fulfilled their objectives.
Arnav is losing the little patience he possessed. He will lash out at Dadi real soon in epic proportions. He defends Buaji with as much vigour as he defends Khushi. Why? Because Buaji loves Khushi immensely and has defended her. This is the real testament to how much in love he is with Khushi. Anyone who has defended Khushi's honour and loves her, is a person of high regard in Arnav's book. This also explains why he has warmed up to NK. NK defended, supported and stood by Khushi when no one else did. It is also the reason why he has such good rapport with Payal. He has seen on a first hand basis of how protective Payal is of Khushi.
Hitler Dadi's attempts will fail. Just think. When Arnav realises that his mother committed suicide because of her decision and that her decision led to Khushi's parents' death, he will blow up in a way that would put volcanoes to shame.
Arnav is fiercely protective of Khushi's family as well. When they first came to GH, he began to love them for who they were, in spite of the misunderstanding. Now he loves them even more because they love Khushi, care about her, support her and protect her.
Hitler Dadi jumps at the opportunity to go to GH. She is much like Shyam. She contorts the truth to how she deems fit and half truths are far more dangerous than lies.
The King informs his Queen of his arrival with the enemy and his Queen berates him. The King assures her of his presence and comforts her.
The communication lines are becoming stronger and so is the openness that comes with the admission of love. These two need to keep this up if they are to survive the storm.
The Queen walks up to her exiled Queen Mother. She informs her of the impending arrival of the forces to be reckoned with and the Queen Mother is fearful of what is to come. She had barely survived the previous was and had narrowly managed to save her child. Her agitation is noticed by the Queen and her Bishop. They try to calm her down but she is frightened.
The wounds are deep and the nightmares fresh.There has to be a reason why Garima is so terrified of Hitler Dadi. She is really scared and Buaji and Khushi notice. Buaji tries to calm her down but she is still agitated.
The White King and the Black Bishop embark on a journey. The Bishop tries to influence the King, but he is not to be swayed. His place his firmly beside his Queen and nothing can ever change that. He will defend her.
Arnav and Hitler Dadi are at loggerheads. And they will remain so till the storm remains. Arnav is championing Khushi, but will it change it yet to be seen.
Arnav has accepted Khushi as his own. Did you notice the way he teared up when he said her parents died in a car accident. He had the same haunted expression he does when his mother is mentioned. He says, "She is an orphan like me." Arnav is somewhere in denial about his mother's death. Today, he is acknowledging his mother's death and at the same time placing Khushi on a very high pedestal. Her parents are somewhere close with his mother and he is beginning to accept it.
He blows a fuse when Shashi and Garima are questioned. They are a big part of Khushi's life. Arnav has a respect for them that he has for a select few. He acknowledges their importance without any qualms and he respects them.
The hug in the beginning was beautiful. It showed love, peace, harmony, understanding and comfort.
Hitler Dadi created the Pandora's Box. Garima has the key. The Box will be opened by Khushi. Shyam is inside it. And it will affect Arnav and Anjali.
Dadi and Arnav were leaving for Buaji's at 11 at night.
Eleven represents the Spirital Messenger. It is the blazon of sin, a symbol of internal conflict and rebellion. It also represents disorder, exaggeration, extravagance and human sin. "The eleventh hour" suggests urgency. Because the clock runs to twelve, this is the last hour to get things done.
When Hitler Dadi found out about Shyam's sister's pregnancy she had demanded to meet her. The same way she and Arnav walked while talking about what should and shouldn't be done was once done between Arnav's father and Hitler Dadi. But Arnav is not his father. He won't walk in his path. Hitler Dadi will not succeed this time around.
Things that stood out:
Arnav is still concerned about the Gupta's even though he is royally pissed off at them.
He likes her in white and with her hair open. Bitwa, she hasn't tied her hair up since Payal's sangeet in January because she knows you like it that way.
I love how he's quiet when he arrives in GH but he doesn't give a damn when he returns. His job is done so why should he care?
Anjali is just itching to give Arnav the sex-makes-babies talk. I can tell. Once again she goes all gooey eyed and goes "My Chotte is in love! Love changes you!" Girl, you gave that talk to literally every person younger than you on the show more than once. We know you give wonderful advice, but girl give it a rest. 😈

The only reason why Arnav wanted to take Hitler Dadi to GH then and there was because he would get to see Khushi again. Very opportunistic of you Bitwa!!! But we knew that! But you might want to out your Dadi on a leash. Or put a muzzle on her. It's for your own benefit, I promise! 🤣
