| fizul101 Newbie | I watched the movie yesterday, no doubt the actors were great and the outfits that they wore were fantastic. The songs were great, but I thought that the stroy did not have any reality to it. It does not make sense how a married man can fall in love with another married woman after 4 to 5 years of their marriage. This is not somehing normal within our community and culture. If the theme of the movie does not concern us. I understand that we need to bring in some of the hollywood ideas into hindi movies to make it interesting and watchable but lets not base our stories totall like American movies. I tought that the movies had wonderful cast and crew. It had wonderful songs but not a good story. |
| avadvani Groupie | Seriouly, this movie will tank at the box office, it has no legs to be a blockbuster. There is nothing in the movie to keep one from seeing it a second time forget the first. Very very disappointing for a Karan Johar film. For such a sensitive subject, it could have been dealt with better. Honestly I don't have the answer how but this was not the way. The script was too lengthy, way too many unnecessary dialouges, corny scenes, some not very tasteful and unrealistic, you have no sympathy for any of the characters, Rani goes through her scenes like a robot, no enthusiasm in it, SRK looked too old. Amitabh and Abhishek were the life savers that made it just about bearable to watch. Preity was just part of the movie. No movers and shakers in the film. No scene to write home about. Watch it on DVD and fast forward about 1/3rd of the film and it might just be bearable. I could say more but you get the jist, this movie is not worth wasting money in the theatre for. KJ will make his bucks from fools like us who couldn't wait to see the movie on screen. |
| yyy-j Groupie | i jus wached kank last nite, i thought it was a good film buh i didnt agree with yhe story line. i felt reli bad for abhishek. the first half of the film is reli reli funny, amitabh bachan is fantastic. the thing is thought dat this film dint make me cry, k3g, kkhh n khnh made me cry so i jus felt that therre was sumtin missin in da film. the flm is aimed at the younger audiences. i dunno it was ok!! dis is just my opinion!! |
| saragak Newbie | to be honest i didn't like the movie at all, sorry to say that, i mean one think i didnt understand is that abishek loved rani alot, more then himself, so then y did she have to cheat.there was not any big problem btwn them. i wanted the film to end with sharukh khan & rani living alone all their life. i think it was not fair ending. i hope i am not makking anyone get mad at me, its just my oponion. |
| Buffie IF-Dazzler | SRK looks old,age is showing up and apparently his acting isnt all that great.....Its just that people feel that a wrong message is being sent....Rani had absolutely no reason to gripe about Abhishek,and SRK is wallowing in his elephantine ego,and thus detests his wife's wearing the pants in the home..People believe that these reasons are not strong enough for a couple to jilt their marriage.... I believe the basic premise lacks depth,and the reasons cited for the break-up arent convincing enough.... |
| hippi2go Goldie | I went to see the first show yesterday...so, let me give my POV😃 I thought it was good...very entertaining, emotional, funny, and very very reality based. And I felt that it was definitely better than KHNH. The best part of the movie is its strong message, which basically is that one shouldn't take marriage so lightly and do it just for the heck of pleasing someone. I can totally see many people not liking this movie for the obvious reason😆, afterall it does picturize on something that our society doesn't look upon so lightly...In the middle of the movie, I too was abit dissapointed at Rani&SRK's character but at the end you learn to forgive them. You feel bad for Abhi and Preity but you can't really hate Rani and SRK. Their unhappiness was understandable but their approach of taking care of that unhappiness was just wrong. Watch it Abs, you will like it. If you don't like the kahani, atleast you can see srk with his shirt off...and seems like someones been working out😉 What I personally got from this movie is a big scare😆...If marriage is something like this, then I am not in any rush to tie the knot anytime soon |
| koolsana Senior Member | well if i give my opinion....i think it was one of the worst movies i watched this year 🤢 🤢 .....i had a lot of expectations frm this movie as this is a karan johar movie even though i dint like k3g 🤢 ....but thought kkhh was gud 😛 .....well this movie is hopeless ....its soo complicated 😕 😕 n the one word tht can actually describes the movie is BORINNN 😡 😡 .....ya i think ther were sum gud moments but only b4 the interval n the movie was too long as far as the actin goes i liked srk's actin even though i thought he overacted in the beginnin....rani was her borin usual self ....abhi was amazin n preity was gud too. 😊 ...well if i had rate the movie frm 10 then i wud give it a 4.5 😊 |

| a4j4ever IF-Dazzler | I watched it yesterday. 😳 Like some said i Found rani boring,Priety sweet ,Abhi was scary at times like all the crockery breaking scenes and Srk was great as the angry young Man. But it felt it was am honest attempt.Karan does not offer his opinion here.He lets you make the choice.All the characters in the movie are flawed at some time or the other.If Rani and Srk were wrong in having an affair ,its because things get out of hand at home.But when they realise they should really go back to their spouses and work it out,Abhi and priety cant forgive the fact that they actually strayed.Probably every charcter is right in his own way and wrong in other way.People need to work things out. Its a flawed movie about flawed people and no its no Boy meets girl. |

| natasshafan Goldie | I went 2 see KANK yesterday.... Let's start from the begining. I loved the start, infact, i think it was one of my favourite parts of the whole movie. When SRK and Rani met...they were looking awesome! With Rani in a bridal dress and SRK in a hot black jacket...With little jokes here and there, it made the movie a bit more fun to watch. Then the 4 years leap was a needed and it happened. Rani (Maya) was married 2 Abhi (Rishi) for 4 years. And the other couple, SRK (Dev) and Preity (Rhea) were married for 9 yrs with a son. Then...Maya and Dev met again....after a growing friendship...they fell in love. This is one of the parts i didn't really like....there was too much crying and 2 much romance.... As someone had already said, this wasn't one of Karan Johar's best movie and I agree with that. Here's one thing i didn't get...Both Rhea and Rishi loved their partners so much but their partners weren't happy with them. I guess this was because both couples didn't get much time to talk 2 eachother and DISCUSS and Maya might say.😉 The songs were awesome!😛 Esp. TUMHI DEKHO NA...with the seasons and Rani's dresses changing (I loved orange, red and blue sooo much!😊) Here's how I would describe the characters: Maya: A cleaning freak (or Wafadar Jamadar as Dev refered 2 her😆) Rishi: A fun-lover Dev: A lover boy+a caring man Rhea: The Diva (like her fashion magazine!😉) So....the rest you will get when u watch the movie.😳 My rating of the movie would be 5.5/10. The acting was awesome but the storyline wasn't that good. The movie isn't really a MUST-WATCH I think...
