Its rather difficult to be white, unless you are a leading man or lady of a serial, when you are in the position of being always right.. Most people are light blue- they are self-serving but not to a fault. They think of their own interests, they are selfish, they lie and they gossip but they draw a line between right and wrong.. That is where people are.. Sometimes due to some dire situations or awful event, we slip into grey- intentionally harm people... I think Ayesha falls right in this category. She wasnt really an awful person. She was ambitious and in her quest of success and revenge lost her way and ended up pregnant. She also ended up betraying the one person who always stood by her.. Priya Di.. what she did was wrong and I know most of you hated her.. But from a perspective she could be redeemed if she understood her mistake and made amends towards it and we got a hint that she wanted to change her testimony..
Her reaction at seeing Priya was similar.. She loved her sister. She was just lost in her own way..
So while she was never my favorite, I didnt precisely think of her as true black villain. She was selfish and self centered but she wasnt evil per se. Today Ayesha stands at a crossroad.. she could make a choice and tell Ram about Priya and work on her redemption or she could choose her own self interest and intentionally keep a loving husband, still greiving parents and a lost brother away from the woman who they all miss.. and whose absence has left them empty and incomplete. If she chooses her own self interest, she would finally make that leap into black...
I personally think Ayesha would choose wrongly. She would follow Niharika's path for her fame and her son but I think that would be when she completely lose everything she ever loved, including the mother who has stood by her until now...
What do you think?
