that feelings are more important than rituals.

It reminds me of a line I had heard in a movie, probably Sex and the City which goes something like this, "The wedding is for others, the marriage is between two people. Most people confuse the two."

Edit :
Personally, I think Arshi is just starting. Arnav and Khushi had been attracted to each other before and have eventually ended up falling in love. But this is not the final point in any relationship, its just the beginning. Only now have they started to understand each others likes and dislikes and adjusting accordingly. This process will take time and will not happen overnight. Only when they make mistakes can they learn from it. Its the basis of any relationship.

That's his opinion. Shouldn't he consider what the woman wants before enforcing his perceptions on the matter? What if the woman doesn't want to bed him? A little bit of decency wouldn't have hurt.

I'm not siding with anyone - i agree that feelings are foremost - they're so vital and so telling - a ritual can just signify the coming together of two people in a religious sense but feelings connect us on a deeper, emotional level.

At the same time, I'm quite religious and I can't imagine getting into an intimate relationship without it being solidified into a marriage via the necessary ritualistic ceremonies.

Wow loved the way you expressed your feelings about relationships etc,.. Agreed with you. Personally I can not imagine myself involved with anyone before rituals,
