I woke to a bright Monday morning..

I was for some reason excited abt my new project.. no, dis wasn't my first job.. bt d jitters I felt were similar.. an excitement coupled wid nervousness.. n a lil bit fear not of dusht danav maan bt.. a fear to let him down..!!

Some how tht was important..

I glanced at the clock.. it was just 6.20am n I was awake even widout d alarm..!! I smiled at my excitement and apprehension..

Smhw after overhearing maan's convo wid daadi.. I wasn't scared of facing maan's challenges at work esp knowing tht dev too was trained under him..

N if DD cud.. so cud i..!!

Hai na babaji..!!

N plus hadn't I alwaz wanted to follow DD's foot-steps.. so dis was quite a start!! N probably after dis I cud even work wid DD.. tht was my dream..

I remembered whn I had finished my 12^th n was to decide on my career..

I wanted to choose smthng tht wud enable me to work wid DD, bt architecture was never me..

So I chose the next available option.. interior dcor!!

If not supplement his work, I cud definitely complement it!!

I blushed at my thots.. though surprisingly I never blushed wid dev arnd..

Guess tht was his charm.. he made me feel so much at ease!

Well.. I d better not get late..

I freshened up, had a relaxing shower, wore my favorite knee length formal skirt and a formal baby pink shirt. Make up was never my forte bt I d nvr step out widout my lip gloss and adding kohl to my eyes..!! I looked just mine I realised as I checked myself in the mirror.. blew a kiss to myself and walked downstairs.. it was 8.. so I had ample time to have breakfast and reach for work on time..!!

As I walked down, I saw daadi, maa, dad n meer waiting for me..

'twas meer who first got to me.. she gave me a quick hug..

"all d best di.. I m sure u r gonna rock.. as usual!!"

"thanx meer.."

"k di.. gotta go.. got a lec.. I was just waiting 4 u.. but I wanna know all d details once I m back.."

I smiled as she left.. my baby sister!!

I took blessings fm d elders.. n then hurried thru breakfast..

"geet beta.. eat slowly.. u r not late plus u can go wid maan.. u cant b late wen u go wid d boss!!" daadi said..

"no daadi.. I m fine.. I wanna do dis on my own.. I don't like favoritism nywaz n maan wont like it either.. in office I m only his employee..!!"

"m proud of u beta.." my dad added..

I left for office wanting to b a bit early to get accustomed to things..

The office was a grand building.. I entered expecting nobody, it was just close to 9 n work dint begin b4 9.30! bt I was greeted by adi der.. n was glad to hv met a known face!!

"hey geet.. I m adi, remem.. mber we mett tht day?"

"hi adi.. u're maan's frnd ryt?"

"yeah.. butt at work, its purely professional.. n I guess he won..t wont like nybdy to know tht r.. r.. acquainted fm b4.. so guess for the the time being we ll hv to keep up disss faade"

"yup.. u r ryt.. he wont like tht.. so can I call u adi sir?"

"no need to b so formal.. u r nt working under me.."

"bt still u hv quite a lot more experience than I do.."

"kk.. whtevrrr u r comfortable wid.."

"so adi sir.. whr do we begin?"

"I ll show u arnd.. d staff wil b here exact at 9.20.. so I ll introduce u to evrybdy b4 9.30 whn maan cms.."

"hey u seem to b keeping tabs on all their timings is it?"

"no.. I don't need to.. no employee is late at KC.."

"sounds like a military school to me..!!"

"well thts hw maan likes it.. no compromise on work standards.. welcome to KC..!!"

Luks like maan was a dusht danav despite last nyt..!!

Bt I dint miss the respect n admiration in adi sir's voice as he spoke of maan..

He showed me around the office.. I was supposed to b on the 5^th floor wid maan

Had been given a cabin ryt nxt to his.. infact just separated by a glass partition..

"why do I hv to take dis cabin? I mean I don't need such a big one.."

"well der r no cabins on dis floor apart fm dis one.. maan sir got it renovated tht way afew yrs back.. no one s evr used dis one.. bt since u wil b directly working wid him.. I thot this wud b comfy for bth of u..!! the staff uses the tables outside so u wont miss out on tht either in case u need ny help.."

I stared at the cabin.. it was beautifully done..

I dint know wht to think of dis gesture.. bt I did know tht d more I thot, d worse it gets.. so I guess I just throw away my thinking cap for sm tym..

The staff had started cming in..

I got introduced to a few of them..

Thr was pinky d receptionist.. she seemed like a chatter box

Then sasha who was d head architect.. bt smhw I dint get ny good vibes fm her

N pari.. who was maan's secretary!!

The first thot I had was dint maan have ny male employees apart fm adi sir!!?????

I dint like tht one bit..

Bt den I met romeo who was a light hearted person working under sasha..!!

as othrs left to settle down, I was left only wid pari..

"so geet.. I heard u got the cabin nxt to dreamy.. lucky u!!"

"dreamy?"

"yeah.. MK.."

"MK.. I mean maan singh khurana.. thts hw d staff refers to him here.. though most of them think of him as "he who cannot be named" na.. so MK is better bt tell u what he is sooo dreamy!!

I stared at her wondering if she was sm othr planet!!

Pinky came der.. "hey hurry up.. DD is here.."

Dev.. bt he's in Bangalore na..

Pinky was nw giving me look as if I dint even understand basics!!

Just wht was happening?

I walked to my cabin n looked out the window..

The view bowled me over..

If I had been confused abt wht pari n pinky meant..
