Saarthi celebrates Janmashtami
Since the plot of Saarthi revolves around Lord Krishna and the people residing in Heritage House i.e the Goenka family are ardent devotees, the cast and crew of Saarthi decided to celebrate Janmashtami on the sets. Since they were in such a spirited mood, it was decided to have a episode dedicated to the joyous occasion. Authentic bhajniks were invited to sing bhajans on the set and this was used as the main track to unfold the drama. Apart from this, 150 kgs of marigold flowers were bought from the famous Krishna Temple, at Madho Bagh, CP Tank. A big cradle was prepared for Bal Krishna and was lavishly decorated with the flowers by the artistes themselves. Bal Krishna was dressed in the best of costumes and accessories. As is the custom, on the eve of this festival, a young child from the family is dressed as Krishna to break the matki, thus announcing the birth of Lord Krishna. So, on the insistence of the whole cast, the shoot of the matki-breaking sequence was put on hold till midnight when Khushi Goenka, the youngest member of the Goenka family, came in the garb of Bal Krishna and broke the matki. And the entire Saarthi crew celebrated Janmashtami forgetting their shoot ahead...The episode will be aired on August 14 and 15 at 2.30 pm on STAR Plus.
