65 years. It has been 65 years since India has grown to become what it is now.
It has been 65 years since India gained Independence from the British Empire's Rule. Today we know it with 31 states, 1618 languages, 6400 castes, 6 religions, 6 ethnic groups, and 29 major festivals. It also the world's most populous democracy.
Indian Flag
The flag is tri-coloured and rectangular shaped. The saffron colour stands for courage, sacrifice, and the spirit of renunciation. The white stands for purity and truth while the green stands for fertility and faith. In the centre is a 24-spoke wheel in navy blue called the Ashok Chakra.






August 15, 1947. The clock struck midnight and there were cheers of happiness and tears of joy. The map of the sub continent had changed forever. Not only had the big piece of land once known as Hindustan been divided into two countries now known as India and Pakistan but also gained freedom from the British Empire.

A country of devotion, of respect & honour, a country of courageous beings that gave up their lives for the freedom of this beautiful land called India.
