I like this suggestion, but i guess such an idea was used by "BhartiKhushi909" she put the IF logo and did her WU, but other sites people, dunno how, IF logo changed into theirs.

Well, I have seen that post. During that thread, I remember Radha di, Ishan and the coolbies were trying to come up with different solutions. JJ, do you remember? we even thought of flash updates? but then concluded that come what may, if people WANT to copy.. they always can! Coz after all, they are written, people can easily copy those.. but it consumes their time too! So it can't be THEIR all time solution! They will ultimately stop!

And the update by BhartiKhushi.. See the background image was light.. EVEN with the light image, the I-F logo is being seen. If we use a better background, I doubt it can be photoshopped.

couldn't we have a watermark of IF in the background of updates and other important posts.? watermark always remains and i don't know if anyone can erase or remove it and then copy it...

Well, updates get copied even with the NOCOPY tag on. We are suggesting a similar dark watermark bg for the updates😳 Hope that works!

I don't know how many know but there is a background picture with India-Forums logo all over it, but that hasn't worked either. Because all these other websites have decided to either just watermark OVER that watermark or have decided to ignore it and let the credit go to India-Forums.

The No-Copy tag doesn't work either because these members are very cunning and smart. They know how to take screenshots. Even VB somehow disables the screenshot availability, there are add-on's that let you take screenshots. I mean how much can VB play around with is the real question.

Hope there is a solution for this soon though. I hate seeing our work being copy-pasted and plagiarized anywhere. 🤔

Yup, I know the BG thingy didn't work. It just consumed time.. and I had to make WUs without emos😆
I agree here, VB can't play around much with this issue.. as afterall its a written update. But, we can try na? the bg thing can be tried atleast.. 😕

no copy thing doesn't work n today i tried by inserting my name n IF tag in the 2 updates i gave, but still they have copied as such..

look at this -

similar thing has been done for Chhal update too No copy or inserting our names r any other copy ri8's doesn't work 🤔

Guys i really appreciate the efforts taken by all the updaters on the forum. It does pain me to see the hard work get copied. Once or twice out of frustration i even gave gallis to people on other sites!

well lemme just share the hard truth with you. No matter what background or whatever code you use, the updates can be copied EASILY. The yellow thing/watermark as suggested is not going to work at all. I tried it. Im use UC mobile browser. And there is a feature by which i can copy any text that displays on my screen. It would hardly take a few min more to copy from mobile over a pc.

The only permanent solution is to copyright the updates which requires a legal route. Without a patent, even the law would not entertain us.
