From the 12th chapter I'm been wondering how u are going to complete this story in 25 chapters. Please dont mistake my question[I actually have a beeg grin on my face😃].
Seriously, U have set the stage so well...it has all markings of a saga[maybe I'm going OTT here but...], it will be a loss in every sense if u decide to go with ur original intentions😊.

Chapter 19 – Two and Two
They walked back in relative quiet. She was in a somber mood now, he could tell, and such moods were best accompanied by silence, as he had gathered from his vast experience in the domain of somber moods.
So he was surprised when she spoke after several minutes, stopping in front of a rather large tree with a trunk that he estimated would need at least the length of three pairs of extended hands going around it to cover its circumference.
She looked down and he followed her gaze and saw that there was a long twisting stone marker of some sort.
"My brother found her body here. Right next to me."
He looked up at her in disbelief.
She didn't notice and appeared to be talking to her surroundings than to him for all the awareness that she showed of his presence. "I was only a year old at the time. And I was sitting here, with Shivan for company, playing with some twigs or flowers or something, they said."
"Wait, the snake was by your side?" he asked.
"So my brother said. I have no memory of this, of course. I had been an early walker, but even so, there were many stairs from my parents' room to downstairs and still much distance to navigate from there to the back door and into these woods. They couldn't believe that I could have walked all that by myself. They think that maybe my great-aunt had carried me here, although that doesn't make any sense either. She didn't have any reason to do that, first of all. And secondly, how could she have taken me from where I slept between my parents without them knowing of it."
"None of it is exactly believable." He said without thought.
The comment made her finally look up at him as if she realized that someone was there with her after all. And not just someone, but him.
Her expression closed off, something that seemed uncharacteristic, and he realized that he had just accused her and her family of lying, or at the very least, of making up tales.
"Come on Kashi. A snake that guards a family, kills trespassers, and yet bites one of your own while leaving a baby unharmed. A man who becomes so enraptured with a woman within a few weeks that he goes mad when she dies and wander these woods decades later; it's all rather fantastical, isn't it? Next you will tell me that there is talking baboon in these woods and that you can commune with ghosts?"
His attempt at getting her ire up did not work so much this time around; she merely turned around and walked away.
He followed and caught up with her to fall into step beside her. "You and your sister are educated enough. I didn't think you would buy into all this superstition."
"You know Raizada, if I were really superstitious, I would just make you fall in love with me and marry you." She said without breaking stride.
He paused for a moment, blown off track by her proclamation, before yelling out, "What the hell does that mean?"
She didn't stop walking, but turned around and walked backwards as she smiled and called out her reply, "You think you are a smart man, Raizada. Why don't you put two and two together?"
Then she turned around and walked out of his view.
Simple fact – just because you do not believe something it does not make it untrue. It is perception like the proverbial half glass, half empty or half full, it subject to one's view.
Whether the story is believable or not, is arguable but in a place like KH, there is some divine presence, how else would one expect a place to have existed for over 700 years and guarded by a snake (considered a god in most parts of India). If it gives something it has to take back too, take Lakshmi's case for instance.
Superstition aside, Kashi has a fantastic solution to his argument, do aur do paanch, Mr. Raizada, do the math, sit down and do the math.
