Hair, Make-up, and Dress - Props and Pls Shops!

Yesterday a few of us wasted good thread cribbing about Sid's overpowdered face at Bhago's barsi... So, am opening this thread. Let's have a discourse about Anandi, Gauri, Shiv, and Jagya's wardrobe, make-up, and hair. What works and what doesn't?

Here are my thoughts for a start

Anandi

- They did a fab job with her understated make up and hair this week. 👏

- I also LOVED the sari she had on at Shiv's Bday.

- Am not a great fan of her multicoloured gaghra choli, but it suits the Rajastan gaon setting

- She needs to get appropriate running gear if she ever works out with Shiv in the park again...Running with gaghra choli is just WIERD! Its also not safe.

- She needs to lose the heavy Singh family jewelry sets...too too much

- Please someone buy her something simpler to sleep in - I can't believe she can sleep with that much jewelry and clothing;

Her make up is a bit on the heavy side but I think it is necessary because she looks much younger than the role she plays without that make up.So I dont have problems with it.

While I have no problem with her Gaghra Cholis .I feel all colours don't s't suit her.I think she looks best in mustards yellows maroon red and green.Even if they give her pinks and blues they should be incombination with either yellow or red

Gauri

- Like her new wardrobe, but its appears limited. They keep repeating the same few outfits. She needs to go shopping with Dr.33 Khanna again😛

- Her make up is a bit too fakey at times...she is naturally pretty - there is no need for so much make up;

Her new ward robe is good. For work it should be straight Kurtas along with Salwars or Chudidaars. And for informal occasions those long skirts she wears. But I think she looks best in

sarees.They made her sarees when she just got married.She looked very good in them.

I would like to see her in cotton sarees.

Jagat

- I love love love his shirts - all the different shades and full sleeves

- His make up is generally not overdone👍🏼

- He needs variety though - I think he's only got one black pant that gets repeated🤣

- Since he's not working, I wish they would give him some more casual clothes for around the house

I suppose the make up man knew his job.

Clothes - He can carry of most colours.

Given his current scenario I am ok with this monotony in his clothes

Shiv

- LOVE ADORE his workout and sleep wear. So Casually correct;

- Like his shirts and suits for the most part

- Make-up person should be fired for trying to turn him into a pasty bhoot. Stick to tan make up for him puhleez. There is often disconnect btwn his face and neck make up.

- Some of his pastel shirts don't got well with light colored suits...they need to go dark-light contrast - dark suit with pastels and light suits with darker shirt shades. Contrast People

- He looks awesome in blue jeans and white shirt with black jacket of his

- Daadisa needs to buy him another Kurta - the one he has is fantastic, but it will wear away with constant use at this rate😛

I like his shirts and suits and of course not to mention his glasses.

HE NEEDS TO CHANGE HIS MAKE UP MAN.

Coming to ethnic clothes most people didn't agree with me but I found that white Kurta to be too lacey and girly .More simple and severe looking ethnic clothes

Anandi
They need to be more consistent with her makeup - they make it too dark sometimes and other times she is a fair maiden. Pratyusha has a naturally dusky complexion which I find very attractive. They either need to let that show or make sure they good a good job of making her the fair maiden. 😆 😆 😆

I think the heavy ghagra cholis and the heavy jewellery are a part of the Rajasthani essence but I would like to see her tone it down a little and start dressing in a little more modern and sophisticated manner.
Sometimes they pick color choices that make her look blah. Their color combinations for ghagras need more work.

I would like to see her in some nice sarees after the wedding with light jewellery - none of the heavy stuff she wears now.

And for heaven's sake get her some nightys. I would die if I had to sleep in a ghagra and all that jewellery. 😆 😆

And can she get another jhola. That one has gotten old. Mayhap Fevicol Casanova can gift her a bag. 😉

Shiv
I noticed the "bhoot" makeup which was done in honor of the barsi. I don't think Jagya noticed Shiv else he would have been scared for sure cos Shiv was seriously looking a little too pale. 😆 😆 😆

OK jokes aside dial back on the foundation. Sid is handsome enough without having to enhance his complexion by being all gora gora baaki chora 🤣

His makeup is also inconsistent - he looks dark in some scenes and fair in the others.

And who told the wardrobe guy pairing a dark suit with a dark shirt is fashion. It looks awful. With dark suits you wear a white shirt or pastel colors - stick with buff, light blue, light green, white, light pink, light peach etc.

On the other hand if you want to do a light suit you have more options. But generally it looks good if you pair a dark shirt with a light suit.

But Shiv is nicely dressed and dresses for the occassion - like he wears tracks while sleeping etc.


Jagya
I think they dress Jagya well. I really like his red shirt but that does not mean you make him wear it every other day. And does his pant always have to be black. 😆

I think he needs a few more colors. I would like to see him in some pastels maybe - it will be a nice break from the white, black, red we usually see him in. 😆

I also think he needs more casual stuff. Plus his make up is inconsistent too. He is a good looking guy and there is no need to cake on the foundation. 😆

Gauri
Thankfully one character with them they do not overdo the makeup often - again it has been done but not as badly as Shiv and Jagya. Anjum is very pretty and they need to let that shine through. I like her new wardrobe but I agree it is getting boring because of all the recycling. Hey I am all for recycling your clothes lekin yaar uski bhi hadd hoti hai.

I want to see her in long skirts and jeans. Wasn't that the reason Jagya liked her? Because she was modern? So she needs to dress more modern. Plus Anjum has the figure to carry it off and would look really pretty.

Anjana: You have covered almost everything.

Anandi looked really fab this week with no virtually no makeup and jewelry.
Yes. the ghagra suits the Jeitsar setting. I really want to see her in a salwar suit with little jewelry and less makeup like any other 25 yr old ! This change won't happen in Jeitsar but want it to happen in the Shekhar household.

Well.. Shiv may toh sab accha lagta hai. 😉
I think light colored shirts look good on him. Agree with the contrast shirt-suit combination. Please stop so much make up on him and please have some stubble on him always. I hate his clean shaven look !

Will not comment on JaGa. I usually don't watch their scenes !!

i would like to seeanandi in sarees as she looks a bit mature and good ,green and yellow best suit her and jwellery shou;d be leess er plus now with saree she can wear one andhalf inch heels ,it makes her look best with shiv ,she wore sandals on b'day of shiv so it is needed now

i dont know why they try so hard to make shiv look 'white' ...he looks great with his typical indian tanned skin tone which is natural!
