Personally, I think the whole idea of Raksha Bandhan has been misconstrued and diluted in recent years. Most seem to think that, "If you don't want to marry him/her, why can't you tie a rakhi?" However, for many people the idea of being brother-sister still has deeper meaning.
I think Ankita was correct in saying she wouldn't tie a rakhi on Hiten. For the majority of people, the idea of seeing someone as a brother (or sister) and then having to portray husband-wife onscreen is both awkward and disturbing. For example, Kareena and Ranbir Kapoor refuse to be cast opposite each other in films; they didn't grow up close and still aren't very close, but even for them the idea of having a brother-sister type relationship (albeit just in name) and then playing romantically inclined roles with each other is just unacceptable. I do not understand why the author of the article is finding it "interesting" in the context of Ankita... the concept would seem self-explanatory... but I guess not.
