Gift ideas for Sisters-
For Kid Sisters-
You can surprise you little sister by gifting her soft toys. There are a variety of them available in the market these days. You can probably buy her favorite cartoon character toys. This can be paired up with her favorite chocolate box or some nice stationary items. Gifting a picture book is also a good idea. "Samar is planning to gift Chinky a story book with a box of chocolate", says Pratigya.
For Unmarried sisters
If your sister is a fashion freak then you can pick up some nice fashion jewelry taking someone's help. Handbags, tote bags, jewelry box, perfumes are again some good options. If you are a little uncertain about her taste then you can even give her gift voucher which will help her buy a nice dress or anything of her choice. You can even buy her some gadgets if you are willing to spend some extra bucks. A smartphone, digital camera, tablet etc are some good options. "I am planning to gift Forum a voucher and a nice phone this Raksha Bandhan", says Shaswat.
For Married Sisters
Jewellery, household items, clothes, accessories etc. are some options for you. If your sister is married in a different city then you can order something online with a bouquet of flowers or a cake to surprise her. "This is the first time that Sandhya will not be able to tie me a rakhi since I am in the US. But to make her happy on this special occasion I have ordered a saree for her along with a bouquet of flowers and cakes and chocolates so that the entire family can celebrate and bring a smile on her face", shares Ankur.
Gift ideas for brothers
For kid brothers
Young boys, these days love to own video games. So, if your small brother still doesn't have any of these then it's a good idea to surprise him by gifting him one. You can even gift him books or educational toys. "I have brought a set of educational books which Chinky will gift to Samar on Rakhi", says Aarushi.
For younger/umarried brother
Novels, CDs, electronic gadgets, t-shirts, accessories or games are some of the options. "I have brought a cool t-shirt for Daboo along with a nice belt and a pair of canvas shoes which he has been craving for a long time. I hope he will like it", says Maanvi.
For married/working brothers
You can go for formal shirts, a fashionable pen or other office accessories which can be useful too.
There are a lot of options available these days. If you have the time you can go for customized gifts like a photo collage, photo mug or a scrapbook to show that extra love towards your sibling. You can also go out for a movie or lunch/dinner, and spend the entire day with your sibling.
So, what are you waiting for? Plan for the special day well in advance and surprise your sibling.
Happy Raksha Bandhan!
