Read dis article which talks abt Manipulation in trps by leading channels.

I hope after dis,all da crap saas bahu shows will end and a new era will dawn on tv.

that company used to monitor the TAM ratings that were released!-they are diffrent from TRPs...

TAM ratings are highest ratings of the show in a week

while TRPS are the average of all the ratings for a show within a week!im sure they are not the same..

never the less either way neither of the systems are very accurate!they record the ratings for only about 8000 to 9000 TV sets all over India...considering the amount of Tv sets in India right now-i dont think they give very accurate results!

Thanks for sharing. this is happening from a long time.

Almost a year back there was an epi. on Jai Hind TV anchored by Sumit Raghvan about how TRP is calculated & how it affect the channel CHs on Wednesday was a spoof by was 100 % correct.

I had posted it link in DBSK in one of the TRP threads, if Vrish can find it & post it here it is worth watching.

Earlier there were 7000 houses, later increased by 1000 more. Depending on them to know the viewer's liking & closing down shows due to low TRPs should be stopped.
