I've actually haven't been able to keep up much with the forum, besides read the updates every day. I'm actually interested with how it is turning out (Don't get me wrong I want Jai and Bani to be together.) I actually got a chance to watch today's episode, and felt I had to say something.
First of all I felt terrible for Pushkar, my heart went out to him. I grew up knowing Roshni Chopra, and I must commend her because I've always felt like throwing things at Pia. I don't let hate govern me, and I don't hate Pia but she is completely immature, ambitious but still very much lacking maturity. In addition she is completely narcissistic. I don't think Bani can be blamed completely, because Rano isn't like that, and Bani herself is the total opposite. Bani though takes the blame in covering for Pia, many a times. There has only been a couple of sequences where Bani has outright slapped or given Pia what is due.
I don't know where to begin with Pia. What she did might not be unethical because it is her body, but it is unexcusable nonetheless. Firstly because it is also Pushkar's child, not only hers. Pia said that in bringing this baby to the world she would be ashamed, because Pushkar isn't fit to be a father, because he wouldn't be able to afford the child. I think that is outrageous, her father was worse off, much more so than Pushkar. If her argument is right then what is she doing in this world. Her mother should have aborted her.
Also she looked completely composed as if it meant nothing at all. The way she was talking on the phone it was like, she'd just gotten a haircut isntead of an abortion. She also has the gall to say "Chalo Tumhe meri Kamhi to mehsoos hui." I mean when has Pushkar ignored his wife, in fact if it was her, she would have excuse it to him working late, and gone to bed happily snoring like she'd one on his birthday. (Yes in the initial stages of marriage she was concerned about Pushkar, but only because for her needs.)
It is true that at first what Pushkar had was based mostly on Jai's charity, and when Pia told him that she'd like to open her own independent account, I agree she was being reasonable. I also think that Pia was making Pushkar constantly chose between her and his family, when she wouldn't do the same with hers. She'd definitely choose her sisters over Pushkar.
Pushkar on the other hand had righted his situation. When he did wrong he admitted his fault and learned from his mistake. He got a job despite many failures, stood with Pia against his mentor, even against his family sometimes. (Due to Pia's constant egging him on). He's working to support his family, and has always tried to keep Pia happy.
Pia lets her ambition rule her actions, her desire take precedence over all else. She goes with what is most advantageous to her. First of all, she claims that she is going to force her sister to ask Jai for a divorce, but then she turns up on his door, asking him for support, (even her job) and then claiming she would be happier married to Jai Walia. Pia even has contradicting morals, and I think her actions can be termed hypocrite.
Jai by the way is no less. (In fact he shares similar traits, and well if he wasn't Jai Walia, I would totally throw something at his head too.) Isn't he being a hypocrite when he told Pushkar that he doesn't believe in raising hand on a woman no matter what. Mr. Jai Walia (although you've never slapped your wife. atleast I don't remember it) the way you've manhandled your wife, is nothing comparable to the slap Pia so much richly deserves. Jai has verbally abused Bani, who has quiet divinely forgiven him, and in fact Bani would have a more legimate reason to abort her child, since it is her mother's murderer's child (well according to the story so far anyways), and what would Jai done. Drunken himself to another stupor and cried that life wasn't being fair, harping on the same thought that Bani broke his trust (and half the time Jai was drunk, when he used to lash out on Bani so Pushkar doing the same to Pia isn't that inexcusable). I mean the smile Jai had when he realized he was going to be a father, including all his paranoia activities of recent put into consideration, what would he have done, when Bani had told sorry I don't think you're capable of being a father so I am going to abort this baby. Just like that.
Today he let Pia back in his house, just because he was able to forgive her through Bani. Bani tolerated all his brunt, just so today he was able to let Pia in his home. By the way Pushkar should have taken his wife outside and pasted her (I do not support spouse abuse), and then when Jai interrupted he should have said to Jai, "Yeh Pati or Patni ka Aapas ka Mamla hai tum kaun hote ho. After all she is my wife dammit, and it was my kid dammit." (Pia had no qualms telling her sister that two days ago.)
I don't think Pushkar is weak, because he did stand up to Jai Walia, but he is too much of nice person, like Bani to say such things.
Also I don't think anything will happen between Pushkar and Bani, because foremost they are friends. They respect each other and their marriage even though their respective spouse have hurt them. They will support each other (Sort of like Ishq with Aamir and Kajol). Besides, despite Pia's actions, Pushkar will always love Pia, similarly like Bani will always love Jai and no one else.
I also don't think anything will happen between Jai and Pia, though not due to lack of trying on Pia's part because I do think Pia will definitely try to put her moves on her Jeeju. Jai being the person he is (a total duffer at times) hasn't even claimed to love his wife in any way, even now he is only pursuing his child even if he is concerned about Bani as well, so she would have no reason to believe that Jai hasn't fallen back into love with Pia (or never stopped loving her). Jai also is often given to the tendencies to misconstrue situations and interpret the wrong thing between Bani and Pushkar especially when he learns that initially Bani had feelings for him (Again he can be a total duffer sometimes, I say this because Bani has in many ways confessed her love and devotion to him.)
Ok Sorry for the long tirade...it is what happens when you haven't slept for twenty four hours, then watch Pia Dixit completely devastate the lives of people around her.
