I think the CV's never really sketched his part well. Mohit is a good actor. I think they initally wanted him to be negative but then decided to make him positive and never really had a well thought out character sketch.

I always thought that if ASY fought for KST in the court case, the audience would have accepted him more. The Thakurs would have also been more willing to understand him especially KST, because he fought against KST the bitterness between them occurred and it was hard for KST to see him in a positive light. I did like the chemistry between Mohit and AB as brothers similar to the chemistry that AB has with JM. I also enjoyed the bantering between ASY and KST, the CV's could have had a nice track about brotherly bonding, but because of poor character sketch they ruined a potentially good track. This is just my pov no offence meant to anyone. 😊

Exactly. If they'd sat and thought it through properly before MM's entrance, he would have been accepted better - eg, scenes like the bathroom one, it was good to see the 3 brothers squabbling like kids.
