@Borna: This episode warranted your thoughts...and you didn't disappoint. Thank you...This is a fantastic piece of writing. Your detailing of the nuances in each speech is spot on. I haven't yet watched the repeat...and now I think I can wait till evening. You relived the entire canvas for me.
Today I had immense respect for Yash and Aarti as parents...like Ansh said...he didn't want only a father or a mother...he wanted both...he wanted his parents. They came together today... and they excelled. One could see how deep that one wish of Ansh sunk in Yash. This marriage was never only about filling in the absent space of the missing parent...it was all about coming together as parents. Children see their universe in both their parents...And after this Yash and Aarti will slowly realize that being parents is directly proportional to being husband and wife in a wholesome manner...they can't be operated on separate planes.
Both GC and Kratika excelled in the display of emotions...The teary, proud, stoic bearing of father who is fighting to rein in his overflowing feelings when Ansh was speaking and then his total connect with the feelings of his wife when his daughter spoke by repeatedly glancing at her...followed by easing of shoulders and a visible look of relief when Palak gives her acceptance...GC was par excellence in this silent portrayal.
Kratika just took my breath away today...she proved that one doesn't have to be a mother to feel mother. Her nervousness, her resilience in digging Arpita's picture, her encouragement of Palak, her surprise followed by stunned feeling of warmth and release of all that pent-up emotions when Palak deems her her mother, the play of emotions at her prayers finally getting answered...Wow!!
