Today's post is dedicated to MentalExotica! My dear friend...

First thing - A small detour:
I have always appreciated the neutrality of the SG thread and am thrilled to have found a home here. Tuesday's and Wednesday's episode brought out a lot of mixed reactions about the character of Khushi and today's episode did the same for ASR. Since the primary base of the show is female, there is a certain affinity towards ASR's character which also polarizes people to be on the defensive end and justify his actions. However, there are others who feel the opposite and rightfully so because they have their own reasons. This is a public forum, everyone is entitled to their opinion but the important question is what do you care about? I am not a moral police, nor am I any wise or intelligent being, but taking the high road and acknowledging difference of opinion do seem like good ideas, most of the times. I hope we can continue to be a level-headed, highly intellectual, analytical and neutral group. Let's leave the bashing and mocking to others, we are way too cool for that :)

ENOUGH of my gayan, on to the episode...

12 din ladki in? (Seems like someone is really inspired by Aman Mathur)

Quick run through the not-so-pleasantries first:

1. Mami ji - The only ghost you should be worried about is the one in the mirror. Everything else pales in comparison. Between yesterday and today, there is a slight glimmer of hope that you will redeem yourself maybe. Detective giri suits you, far more than a million coats of paint and the gawdy baubles.
2. Payal's night gown is with Aakaash? Ummm...Interesting scene with Nani and Payal though - both discussing the common 'issue' - Mami ji.
3. Babu ji looks mighty fine. Seems like the lease on the wheelchair is almost up. Good - more money for *snort* wishful thinking, there is no money.
4. Nani ji's boyfriend mentioned again. Majra kiya hai? Or just a way to tell Mami to shut up and not open her big mouth every time she pleases? who knowjhs.
5. Anjali's secret meets and talks - I am going with Rag1ni on this one. Shyam is Mr. India. It is the most logical explanation.

If the last two episodes were the insider info on Khushi, today's episode was primarily a glimpse into ASR's psyche. A reminder to the audience, he is still ASR and very much alive but with added nuances of love-stricken Arnav. Since I did a small analysis of Khushi the other day, it only seemed fair to give a few minutes of my time to apparently the most drool-worthy character on screen. Who is ASR and what makes him the way he is? Well.. ASR is a fictional character and Gul Khan made him. Ta da! Seriously though..ASR is as flawed and damaged as Khushi if not more. If Khushi's character is deemed to good to be true, ASR tips the scale completely on the cynicism level but does it with a charm and attitude. Their actions are equally unjustified in reality but in fiction... it makes for an intriguing and spicy story!
ASR is a businessman. The only way he knows to live life is by making deals. Life for himself is a deal that he thought he won, on his terms. What he did not bank on was falling uncontrollably in love and that too with someone who is THE one for him. But ab pagal premi err.. pati ho gaye hain to kya ho sakta hai? Arnav has been moping around the Gupta House for a day now, doing everything he can to get through to his lady love but everything seems a dead end. Biwi is in no mood to play, no mood to let him in and tell him what's going on. His shaatir dimagh catches on the lie, figures out the root cause and is out to do what he thinks will get him the desired result. He wants to win and the only way he can do that is the ASR way. The way he has been doing since June 6, 2011, the way he convinced Mami ji for Payash wedding, the very way which made everyone fall in love with the character in the first place.
One might question but the circumstances have changed, his actions should be different because he is in love! he has hurt the girl so much! he should be sensitive etc. My counter question to that is: His actions have been questionable from day one. He hurt the girl back than too, hurt laced with considerable hate. What makes his actions justified at one point but not the other? To say otherwise would be the the height of hypocrisy because TRPs of that time painted a different picture.
The core traits of the character should stay the same regardless of the circumstances, however; certain variations will and should happen. He softened a bit post-kidnapping but was back to himself when he brought out the contract, only to regret it later. He only knows how to win and so far in life he has not been proven wrong about his theory. So if you have a winning formula or strategy that works every single time, wouldn't it be your default mode for every action? I would say yes! Only this time it would not be easy because of the little tiny glitch called madly-in-love. He is playing his game but even then he has to tweak the rules, be extra careful and get the intended outcome. He can't hurt her but yet he has to show tough love for her to come out of her shell. If ASR is all about deals, Khushi is all about challenges. What they don't understand is if either one of them lose, they both lose. He cares deeply for the Guptas, he has already paid the rent and wouldn't be surprised if he has bought the house as well. He is not in it to hurt anyone, he is doing what he does best. Over confident? Cocky? Maybe but that's what has worked for him so far. The question is will it work this time?
He has no idea how his words have pierced her soul this time. During the Shyam revelation, she had fought and fought and than gave in and asked him to look her in the eyes and trust her. They will be at a similar point again, this time he will do all he can but in the end he will be the one asking for her trust and forgiveness. Because this time, he can't breathe without her. She can't walk away from his life and if ASR has to learn it the hard way, so be it. This time Khushi holds more cards. At least that's what I am hoping for!
The possessiveness of ASR is probably one of the only realistic traits and stems from inherent insecurities. If you have been dealt a bad hand by life more than once, you either tend to become docile and accept fate or become aggressive and say ENOUGH! Once you create a wall around you and not let anything or anyone cause you any joy, pain or hurt, you create a false sense of security that you are in complete control. When someone breaks through that wall, the only thing you can think of doing is to keep them forever with you at any cost because now you are vulnerable! Wall has been breached and the sense of security is gone. The only thing keeping you together is that person because what they have introduced in your life is something which you would have never allowed, something which is pleasant, different, comforting but also comes with a fear of losing and not being able to win again.

Have to admit I was surprised when I logged in after watching the episode to see many upset, I expected the opposite but not all can feel the way I did about the episode. I personally loved the it, especially since both characters are staying true to who they are.

Episode continuing with the confrontation where we really see how far these two have come. Gone are the days where Arnav jumped to the wrong conclusions about Khushi, now he understands her and knows there is something troubling her. Khushi unknowingly gives him a hint with the 13 days but at the time Arnav could not see it, instead he attempts one more time and lets Khushi know he is with her.

Arnav returns home where Nani and Payal give the final pieces to the puzzle, the light bulb goes off in his head as he realizes why Khushi left and is now hell bent to make her his wife forever that too in typical ASR style.

So Khushi learns that Arnav put a stop payment to the rent, giving her only 24 hours to pay up but is that really the case? We know Arnav would not have Bua lose her home, so did he tell Shuklaji to lie to Khushi?. It is possible the rent has been paid or he bought the home for her. Arnav's intentions are clear here, this is all about teaching Khushi about acceptance. Khushi needs to accept his importance in her life, her rights as his wife and realize she no longer has to burden all the responsibilities on her own. Arnav knows Khushi well enough to know she would confront him, she would be stubborn but he is going to make her accept while letting her call the shots. Based on the precap, I am sure Khushi will put a condition that Arnav can pay the rent but she will work at AR to pay him back.

Other scenes I liked, Manorama cutting Payal some slack and continuing to be suspicious of Anjali's odd behavior with the intention to find out more. I hope she finds out Anjali is meeting Shyam and plotting to bring him back, they should not fall for this oh she's fragile nonsense anymore because it is far from the truth.

CVs have been making many mentions to Shashi's health improving, it must mean they are going somewhere with this. Could it be the Guptas learn the truth sooner than expected?

Great Episode. Wonderful beginning of a fun filled track.

We start off from yesterday, when Khushi backs Arnav into the door and says she doesn't want his ehsaan.

"Hamein aap ke koi ehsaan nahi chahiye!"

"Tum mere patni ho, Bua ji aur yeh ghar mere liye bhi kuch maine rakhtein hain"

How far have we come to get Arnav to admit, that apart from Di, there are others that matter to him. Buaji, the mother figure, the one woman, after Khushi and Di, who's silence also upsets him (during the ME).

But Khushi once bitten, twice shy, knows what money from Raizada means.

We have full trust from Arnav's side now, who even after knowing Khushi lied about Buaji, still supports her. And from Khushi's side its still shaky ground.

" khushi aisa kya jo tum abhi muje batane se dar rahi ho"

"you know you can tell me "

Atoot Vishwas in action. But Khushi needs the time. The 13 days that will end the marriage.

If this was the same ASR a year ago, he would have somehow forced the reason out of her. But Arnav, now, understands and gives her time and silently leaves and also reassures her for the last time.

" Khushi main hoon tumhare saath, muje batoo kya hua hai"

but Khushi does not divulge.

And not until he gets home and talks to Nani and Payal, does he realise the six months are coming to a close. And the dimaag ki batti flickers and puts 2 and 2 together and realises the real reason Khushi has left.

And he vows to bring her back at the end of 12 days and make her his wife forever.

On the other side we have Khushi counting down the 12 days when she will lose Arnav forever.

A complete contrast in soch of an unconventional couple.

Next day, Shukhlaji the landlord, arrives to collect the rent which apparently Arnav withheld.

And Khushi is in a dilemma as to how she will pay the 24K in 24 hrs. (whats with the 24's?)

And Khushi reaches AR to ask why he did this.

And in true ASR fashion he says, if he pays she has an issue and if he doesn't pay she has an issue.

And frustrated Khushi leaves to find a solution to it herself, while a confident ASR goads her that she will return to him.

So why did ASR stop the money? Not to blackmail. Nope. But to prove that Khushi taking money from him isn't an ehsaan but her right as a wife. It is very likely that he has brought the house.

How could I forget the dream! Khushi has the best dreams of ASR. Now its godfather style.

Joey I agree with your Gyan...We are all adults and have a right to our own individual opinion...and everyone can share their opinions but let's not get judgemental or critical of how other's feel because

1. it is their opinion,

2. This is a show,

3. Is is all make believe and anything can happen in this fictional duniya.

We help and indulge each other but let's keep it sane in here and bring in happy and fun thought's to the group and not attack our own...pretty please? 🤗

Sari: Absolutely loved your post👍🏼. I think it is a must read for all for today's episode. Both Arnav and Khushi absolutely true to their character walking the path DM has paved for them and i am loving the ride😃

Good episode today and great continuation from yesterday. Looks like we are heading for a "12 din ladki either in or still not in" track and great possibilities for both😉. Arnav keeps trying to reassure Khushi that she is his wife and that Buaji and the house are important to him too. Loved his "Khushi, Hoon mai tumhare sath batao mujhae kya hua hai". Will he finally get through to Khushi? Will she understand that beneath the pagal pati antics and the manipulative angry ASR is her Arnavji who loves her more than anything in the world?

I liked how Nani and Payal bring up the 6 months and Arnav realizes on his own why Khushi decided to leave RM. Loved his resolve that he will win her back in 12 days. This is ASR; not a raaste ka majnu; I'm glad he has decided to what it takes to make her realize what she means to him. This is going to be ASR with a twist; I highly doubt we will see him blackmailing/forcing her this time plus there is no way he has actually stopped payment of the check. He has just probably made some arrangement with the landlord to convey the message to Khushi. I am liking the return of the ASR element; this is what Khushi fell in love with; this with a dash of Arnav is what will help him win her back😃. Khushi on the other hand is sad about only 12 days left of her marriage to ASR😭😭. Don't worry sweety, your laad governor by hook or by crook will assure that you are officially Mrs. KASR before the 12 days are up❤️. Khushi's dream about her Arnavji was adorable; both of them totally in character😆😆

I actually really liked the ARHI office scene; Khushi walks in in full sadda haq mode and demands answers. I loved how he says that she had a problem with him making the rent payment as well as stopping it. Both souls are totally confused and get back to doing what they do best bickering and challenging each other. Arnav was just having some fun with his paagal Khushi, he knows she reacts best to challenges and he is using it to his advantage👍🏼. The precaps have been misleading and I'll wait to see how the whole scene plays out before I say anything further.

Things that stood out; Khushi in her heart totally accepts Arnav as her hubby; she immediately told the landlord that her husband had paid the rent so she obviously did not take it as an ehsaan from him. She knows she has the right to question him which is why she barges into the office and disconnects his call and begins her wifely questioning of him. She probably will go back to him for help tomorrow because in her heart she knows she can reach out to him and he will be there for her.

Has Anjali discovered her Mr. India in Shyam? Mami in inbestigation mode seems promising, atleast that will give us a break from her taunts and crude behavior😡. I'm very curious to see how Teej, Raksha Bandhan and Shyam's return in woven into the story over the coming weeks.

Forum reactions have been extreme from loved it to hated it and everything in between. All I can say is the CV's have the forum audience (unfortunately not the TRP audience) nicely wrapped around their little finger; coz everyone keeps coming back to praise, rant, criticize and predict everyday: hallmark of an unpredictable and interesting show I guess!

I liked the episode. I was a little confused on where they going to take all these? He has promised himself he will win her over in 12 days. How would he do that by putting her in hardship? Does he want her to say she needs him or does he want her to feel she has right over him? Few days back he said you have right on me. That makes me think that's he wants her yo excercise her rights. Make her feel the wedding was not a contract, it's a lifetime thing.

Where will all these take place? At RM or AR? I think RM. As he helps her with the money, he will ask her to come back home for 12 days and in this time he will make khushi realize what he said about the contract is not what he meant. Hope so. Loved khushi's dream. Arnav's smirk was a treat to watch. Khushi looks so cute in night suit. Why can't she change between choti and loose hair? Oh well.
