*Two Months Later*

Khushi sat in front of the mirror as she brushed her hair slowly while her mind wandered back to two years from now when she had left without telling anyone, leaving just a single note.

She had gotten a full ride scholarship to study in London, it was a opportunity she couldn't let pass, but it was a opportunity her parents would never let her seize. She could have gone anywhere else she liked, but never London... Why? Khushi never knew... Until now...

"Diii!" Payal ran into her room shouting, "Save me! Mom's going to kill me! Save ME!"

Khushi watched wide-eyed as Payal ran into her room and hid behind her, she was just about to question what had gotten into her when their mother rushed in panting,

"Khushi, look! Just look at your sister!" Khushi turned, looking Payal up and down at her mother's words. She turned back to her mother shrugging her shoulders, confusion evident on her face as she couldn't find anything wrong with Payal. "Look! Just look at her face!"

Khushi turned again, scrutinizing Payal's face, who looked back at her innocently. "Is that make-up your wearing?!" Khushi exclaimed, "Oye hoye! What's the special occasion huh?"

Payal's cheeks tinted as she blushed at her sister's teasing. Garima stared at her daughter, mouth hanging open, "What's wrong with you all?! Even Shashi didn't spare me a glance when I told him about this! She's too young to be wearing make-up!"

Khushi walked over to her mother, placing one hand on Garima's shoulder and the other on her hips. "Amma, what's the big deal? She's only applied some lip gloss and eye shadow! She hasn't gone and gotten a tattoo, now has she?" Khushi explained calmly, then suddenly her caught the mischievous glint, "Anyways Amma, you weren't much older when you met Papa and he's told me about that make-up fiasco when you were trying to impress him...Hmm"

Khushi trailed off, raising her eyebrows at her mother, who pushed her away with stern "Be quiet!" before all three of them burst into a fit of giggles. Garima walked over to Payal, cupping her face she said,

"My daughters are all grown up now...aren't they?" Her eyes glistened with tears and both her daughters hugged her, "It won't be long before both of you get married and leave me..."

"Hmph! I don't know about Payal, but I'm definitely not leaving you and Papa!" Khushi said stubbornly as she hugged her mother tighter.

"Oh really? Where were you the past two years then, Di?" Payal blurted before she could stop herself. She instantly regretted when she saw Khushi's face fall and her eye's became blank, the liveliness replaced with sadness.

"That was a mistake I made! And it's not going to happen again!" Khushi whispered, her voice sounding determined. Slightly shaking her head she smiled brightly once more, "Now come on otherwise we'll be late for you first day of college! We wouldn't want that to happen now would we, eh Payalia?"

Garima stood laughing as she watched Payal chase Khushi, who was holding her ears as she ran, out of the room.

"Thanks, Mohan. You can do whatever you want for the next few hours just be back on time to pick us up or your fired." Arnav instructed their driver as he grabbed his bag from him.

"Bhai, you're always scaring poor Mohan!" Anjali complained as she watched a nervous Mohan get back into the car before he drove away. "Can't you be a bit nicer?"

"Whatever." Arnav muttered, uninterestedly.

"Bhai is Bhai, Di. He's not about to change just because we ask him to." Akash said a matter-of-factly.

Both of the younger siblings looked at their older brother's retreating back as they let out a sigh and followed after him, slightly running to catch up.

"So where's that new girl, who dad said I should met?" Arnav questioned, suddenly turning around causing Anjali and Akash to run into each. "Isn't she the daughter, to whom Shashi uncle gave his entire company too? Who in their right mind would give an entire company to manage to some girl?!"

"She's is really responsible and nice, Bhai. We met her at my graduation!" Akash chirped happily, "Khushi Di's the one who cheered me up after I got upset over the fact you couldn't make it!"

"Khushi...? Hmm..." Arnav muttered to himself when something Akash said caught his attention, "Khushi DI? What the?!"

Akash blushed while Anjali spoke this time, "Yea, Bhai! She's the sweetest thing ever! Akash was bummed because you couldn't make and so we all we also bummed...But then she came and the lifted everyone's mood! The atmosphere practically went from dull to lively with her presence!"

"Whatever." Arnav muttered again before he began walking again. Here his younger siblings were going on and on about some girl they had only met once, the girl her had yet to met!

Arnav's footsteps halted when he heard someone gleefully shout, "Akash! Anjali!" He turned to see some girl running up to his brother and sister and hugging them fiercely, he also saw Payal standing slightly behind her.

"Khushi!" Akash and Anjali both shouted as Khushi rushed over to them. Khushi hugged Anjali first before turning to Akash and fiercely hugging him as she whispered,

"Hmm...I can see your eyes are extremely fond of my sister." Causing Akash to blushed deeply as Khushi pulled away.

"Oh, all of us studying in the same college is going to be so much fun! Isn't Payal?" Khushi exclaimed turning towards Payal only to have mutter something unintelligible. "What? What did you say, Payal?"

"I said couldn't YOU find some other guy besides MY boyfriend to LUST after?!?!" Payal shouted, not meaning a word she said to her sister, who was now slowly backing away, tears in her eyes. Payal was about tell her that she didn't mean anything she just said, but Khushi didn't give her a chance as she ran off in the opposite direction.

Arnav had watched the encounter and now he saw that girl running right in his direction. He was just about to move, but he was too late and she bumped into him. He automatically reached out to help steady her but she steady herself and ran off again, mumbling a soft "Sorry."

"Di!" He turned back to see Akash call after Khushi before turning to Payal, "What has gotten into you! Khushi Di, is exactly that! Just like my Di and nothing more! She was the one responsible for my uplifted mood at our graduation and you just accused her of LUSTING after me?!"

"Your Di..." Payal whispered to herself, realizing she had mistaken Khushi's care for flirting when she had seen Khushi and Akash alone from far away at their graduation. Over the last two months her jealousy and irritation at the fact that Akash seemed happier after he talked to Khushi came out today when she saw them hugging.
