Meet India's favourite daughter-in-law

India's number one soapstar and the nations' favourite on screen daughter in law – Smriti Irani aka Tulsi - will be meeting her fans in Manchester as part of the Sky Festival.

Smriti from Star Plus's 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi ' will also be joined by Sudha Chandran from K.Street Pali Hill to perform at free festiva.

Both actresses will be at The Bridgewater Hall on 12th and 13th August where they will be performing on both evenings in a family play called 'Kuch Tum Kaho, Kuch Hum Kahien'.
In the play Smriti Irani plays a different role to her regular homemaker character, Smriti plays a woman who is focused on her career. Sudha Chandran plays Smriti's mother in law. This is rare opportunity for Star Plus fans to meet and see their small screen favourites live and on stage. Visitors can catch the play from 5.30pm on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th August and they can also come and meet the stars at 1pm on both days to take photos and get autographs.

In addition, during the day STAR PLUS will be offering Bollywood dance classes where enthusiatic visitors can learn how to dance like a Bollywood star with Sapnay School of Dance.

STAR Celebration is one of the headline events taking place in August for Sky Festival – the UK's newest and biggest free entertainment festival, taking place in Manchester in August 2006.

Nick Thind, from STAR UK said, "The Sky Festival is a fantastic opportunity for STAR Plus to reach out to the city of Manchester. Our free event, will celebrate and showcase what STAR Plus is all about - award winning content. We are also excited to be amongst the UK's biggest TV channels, and to be selected to represent South Asian entertainment."

All Sky Festival events are free to the public; however some events will be ticketed.

Visitors will need to book tickets for the play Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein and the dance workshop. To book simply call free on 0800 3 77 77 92. Tickets and spaces are limited.
