| Raj Banerji better known as Shotgun from Special Squad (Star One) did a disappearing act from the small screen once it was curtain calls for his show. But
the actor has treated the most desirable path; he's recently completed a film, Dehek, by Arup Adhikari. The film also includes the likes of Rajit Kapoor, Sharad Kapoor and Milind Gunaji. "I play Lakshmi Prasad Jha, a Bihari art graduate who comes to Mumbai in quest of a job and gets trapped in a murder mystery. I'm very excited as my role is very different, something that I have never attempted before," says Raj who is looking forward to the release of the film in September. But he has not bid adieu to television. He is currently seen in Star One's Yeh Dil Chahe More, where he plays a mumbling idiot. "I play Sukh who is very much in-your-face types, yet genuine. He talks in an usual fashion and tries to help out the protagonist, Veer to get Tara," points out Raj who has been associated with this show since a month. And this is not all! Raj is also doing a prestigious project by Madhur Bhandarkar of Chandani Bar fame. We'll keep you posted on the developments. . |
