Theepa's (Hemalatha) Interview

Acting is mixed in my blood "Thendral's Theepa"

This is a translation of her interview published in Anantha vikatan

The girl ,who comes as a friend of the main actress Thulasi and will give her peace of mind who ever annoyed them is Theepa. Even though a petite, her witty talk always attract the viewers who watch her. We asked Theepa's(Hemalatha) Journey in the TV serial.

"I have two uncles(Mom's brothers) Uthayakumar and Suresh are in the cinema field. One uncle acted in the film "Nayakan" which was directed by Maniratnam. My grandma always took us to that shooting spot and where I got a chance to act in the Rajanikanth's film "Batsha" and I was the little child of Raguwaran Sir's. This is my first entry to cine field.

I acted in "Suriavamsam". Acting is mixed in my blood.

My family is big. I have two elder brothers and two elder sisters and I am the last in my family. All were married and they all support me. My whole family watch me acting and like it.

"Sithy" from Raadan is my first serial. Even though it is the first ,I got recognized. Next serial was "Manaivi". After that I got a small break from the serials.

I acted in Vijay's "kanaa kaanum kaalangal" and that character is a good one to show the acting skill. That character is suited to my age. I acted as a student in that serial. After that I got this "Thendral"

In "KKK" It was a quiet character but In "Thendral" it is Just the opposite. When the people see me on the road they are calling me Theepa and it makes me very happy.

I am getting offers from the big screen too, but I am waiting for a good character. I am firm on my decision to act in a character that is suited me. I do not like to come and go in a scene. I would like to act in a film that should be a memorable one.

I like to act since my childhood. And wanted to be a good actress. My dream is coming true little by little. I am not particular in acting in a certain character but like to act in any character that can be performed".

Hema signed off with a happy smile and we wished her for the future.
