July 14, 2012, (Sawfnews.com) - Rajkumar Gupta's Ghanchakkar, headlining Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi, will begin filming on July 16 at Essel Studios in Mumbai.
Balan plays a homemaker in the film, but there is a sequence in which she sizzles in a sultry makeover. Nothing as hot as the The Dirty Picture though.
Gupta earlier said, Balan will meet makeup artists in the US or UK for a look test for her makeover for that sequence.
"Yes, Vidya will go to the US or the UK, we haven't decided the destination yet. As of now, I can only reveal that we are aiming for a different look for her. I can't reveal anything else because we're still working on things. The audiences will be surprised," Gupta had told HT in June.
Sabyasachi was to style Balan to begin with but that didn't work out because the film's production start was advanced from August to July. Sabya is committed to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela during July. Kolkata based designer Subarna Ray Chaudhari, who styled Balan in 'Eklavya' and 'Parineeta,' will now do the honors again.
Parts of the film will be shot on Mumbai's rain soaked roads using hidden cameras.
The UTV production's first schedule will last a month. Shooting will wrap in December and the film will be released in the first quarter of 2013.
