Lara's Kollywood comeback

After almost 13 years, Lara Dutta is all set to make a comeback of sorts on Kollywood screens. Yes, she will be sharing screen space with Vikram and Jiiva in Bejoy Nambiar's forthcoming trilingual, David.
Confirming the news, Bejoy says, "Yes, Lara is part of David and she will be seen in all the three versions — Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. She will start shooting for her portions from July in Mumbai."
This film is special for Lara as it's the first one she will be shooting for, post giving birth to her daughter, Saira. When asked if it was easy for him to convince the actress to be part of the film, Bejoy replies, "I spoke with her a couple of months ago and told her she's perfect for the part. But she was apprehensive, especially since her daughter is hardly a few months old. She told me that I will have to work around her schedule and shoot only when she gets free. I gladly agreed."
While the director is unwilling to reveal anything about Lara's character in the movie, he insists that her role is pivotal to the script.
"The film has an ensemble cast including Nasseruddin Shah, Rohini Hattangadi, Tabu and Isha Sharvani playing vital roles. While Jiiva will be essaying an important role in Tamil and Telugu, Vinay Virmani will be playing the same one in Hindi," he smiles. The last time Lara was seen on Kollywood screens was in Arasatchi, opposite Arjun.
