So, I'll give you fifty-fifty company in this one. I think you are somewhat right and somewht wrong.
Firstly, coming to the lovers part. I so agree with you. It was just a week before, we all were playing truth and dare. On asking, we came to know that a fifth-class boy was dating a girl. Common people, get a life. You have all your life after 18 and to the most 20 for such things. Can't you just concentrate on your studdies for a while as of now? And then at the end of the day, they end up locking themselves into their washrooms and crying their hearts out. Why? Because they had the 'oh-so-famous-BREAK UP'. Common people. When you are at an age that you don't understand half of the things in the world and when you can't make decissions about some of the most important things in their lives right now, then how can they decide who is good for them and who not? I seriously don't understand these things and feeli like killing some of my friends who keep on having an on-off relationship every now and then. Can they serious about something for God's sake???

Coming to companion thingie, I think a huge number of people is not important but everyone would love to have one special friend in their life with whom the can discuss anything. As in the end, it helps us loose the burden of our hearts. :)

here's the catch with the first part of your argument. While it's great to focus on studies, there's always other stuff going on in life- jobs, nagging wives, kids, mortgages, stupid bosses. You cant put off having some fun on the side just because you got these other things to contend with. Remember- it's a lot more fun when you got stamina like bunny energizer, which is the case when you're in your teens and hormones are raging like crazy. You dont want to look back and feel you were a nun till you hit 20. So if you must, do study but make sure you also make full use of what teen biology has to offer😊

I have always loved my own company & felt totally secure in spending lots of time alone. But, over the years, I've also learned to value the company & input of others to expand & enrich my life.

There are things you can do alone, you could never do with people; and vice versa.

Ok, so I know you are right and lol, don't worry even I'm into all these things but what I don't understand is why do people get into a relationship when they're not sure and when they know that the last relationship they went in was bad. And the way they ended up was crying and crying. If you love someone then at least be sure of it. and frankly speaking today's world most of the teens have relationships just for the sake of it. Uski toh girlfriend hai meri kyun nahi. It doesn't matter to them if they have to cheat on her gf. That part definitely hurts. So why get involved in something when it's not giving you happiness? 😕 🤢

It is said that ADAM was very content and happy as long as he was alone.

He observed all other creatures had partners, longed for one, pleaded with God and finally God made EVE for him.

Two hours later he cried for ANACIN!😕

Absolutely!

And what many fail to grasp is that there's a fine distinction between being alone and being lonely.

The way I understand the word lonely, it means a person is miserable or unhappy because they are not with other people. There are some of us who don't feel unhappy being alone/single. We're doing fine and dandy, and don't feel any less happy alone than we are when with people.

My point is this: There are some people who simply can't function without friends/romantic partners in their lives. Which is perfectly fine and perfectly understandable. But there are also some of us who can function without having friends/romantic partners. All I'm saying is that this is perfectly fine as well.

Yeah...lonely by definition is an undesirable state. Lonely isn't so much a physical isolation from people - it's more like a mental detachment. On the other hand, someone is alone when he has literally no one near him.

Let's say a person can be surrounded with people all around and still feel lonely if he doesn't have anyone near and dear to him, and a person may be staying in an isolated island all alone, but still not feel lonely if that's what he prefers.
