Chapter 22
The hidden truth revealed...

I walk in the white coated layers of snow. Head down, thinking. Biting my lips till it bled and the cold air kissed my cheeks. Snow flakes resting on my eyelashes, making them heavier.Everything had a blanket of white snow. The bare trees; lifeless without its colourful leaves. The children playground empty. Not one soul in sight. I sit on a nearby beach, and my hot tears start to fall down my cheeks, slowly turning cold.
Just the mere fact about my dad makes me pity myself. How could he do such a thing? Why? Has he forgotten about mum? I wipe my tears quickly and tell myself to stay strong. To face life properly and not to always run away from it. Maybe it was time to start a new beginning. To ask questions and demand for the answers.
I hide my face in my cupped hands and freeze in that moment. Clear all the doubts and negative comments. Taking in a deep breath I smile.
"Say hello to the new Manyata," I say aloud. But the negative gets better of the positive. I had no where to go. No place to call home. If I went back to the apartment then I'd have to face an angry Aahana, Uday and the others. If I went to my old home then there was dad... and Sanya. Just thinking about ice cream girl makes me feel angry. If I could, I would have stabbed her to death.
In the distance I hear faint "Manyata's" being called out. After a couple of seconds I decided that it was only me hearing things. But the voices get louder and louder. I close my eyes tightly and cover my ears with my hands. I was only hearing. I take another deep breath and I open my eyes. In the distant I see 3 figures walking in my direction. It must only be be some people having a walk, I tell myself. I remove my hands from my ears. The yellings get louder and I start to freak out. Something was wrong with me, why was I hearing things? I just want to be normal. I look down at the ground again, trying to focus on something else but it's no use. I look back up and I see a girl running up to me.
"Manyata! Manyata!" She yells. As she gets nearer and nearer I realise that it was Aahana. She embraces me into a hug and when she pulls out she slaps me. "I hate you! Never talk to me again!" I place my hand to where she hit me.
She didn't know. Didn't know about what I had just found out. About my dad's doings. Tears start to form in my eyes and one falls down my cheeks.
"I'm sorry Manyata I didn't mean to hurt you..." She says, her voice softer. She tries to move my hands away to see what she had down but I instantly push her hand away. Signaling to leave me alone.
"Just leave it Aahana. Maybe she doesn't want us here," Zayn says.
"You two go back to the car. I'm coming in a couple of minutes," Uday says. The two nod and then start to walk back in the direction they first came from. Uday then waits until they disappear. He comes and sits next to me. Carefully he wipes my tears and turns my face so that I was looking at him.
"Princess what's wrong?" he asks me. I open my mouth to start but no words come out. Instead I burst out crying. He pulls me into a hug and I carry on crying out my heart. He strokes my hair and tells me that everything is alright. I then wipe some of my tears with the back of my hand and I pull out of his embrace.
"Thank you," I whisper, finally finding my voice again. He wipes away the remaining tears on my cheeks.
"It's okay Princess. Do you want to talk about it?" Uday asks me. I nod. He was the only one that I felt like talking to right now after everything that had happened.
"Uday, my dad..." I start off trying to find the right words.
"What about your dad princess?" He asks me.
"He got engaged to..." I stagger.
"To who?" He questions.
"To Sanya, that ice cream girl we saw," I tell him. I just hated this girl so much.
"No way!" Uday exclaims. "He have to stop this!"
"I know but why Uday. Do you know her?" I ask him. He looks down and takes a big breath before looking back up again.
"Yes i do know her... she broke my family..." he staggers.
"What do you mean Uday?" I ask confused.
"Sanya... she..." He starts off. He then shakes his head before carrying on. "A few years ago my dad was having a secret affair with her. Every night he started to come home later and later. And then one night he never came home..." He tells me.
"What happened afterwards?" I ask him.
"Soon mum became suspicious and question him one day. She got really angry and he was afraid of her. Eventually he told her the truth..." He carries on.
"But what did your mum do afterwards?" I ask.
"Mum and dad got divorced afterwards. Dad then started to live with Sanya. Mum became depressed and then she died. Then Sanya found out about her death and she divorced him," Uday says. "Then my dad came back to live with us again."
"I'm sorry to hear that..." I say. "I thought that she might have been an ex." Uday then starts laughing.
"My ex...? She is disgusting. Why would I ever go out with her," he says.
"I don't know," I stagger. I start to shiver from the cold and Uday takes his jacket off and hands it to me. "Thank you."
"I think we should go back to the car now," Uday suggests, and I nod. We hold hands and walk to my car.
"But how are we going to stop their wedding?" I ask him. He smiles at me.
"Ever watched soap dramas or films?" he asks me.
"Yes..." i say confused. What does soaps and films have anything to do with this?
"We're gonna gate crash their wedding," He tells me smiling.
"You what?!" I exclaim.
"Gate crash... you do know what it is right?" He asks me.
"Of course I do, but don't you think that's really mean..." I stagger.
"Do you want to stop their wedding or not?" Uday asks me.
"I do," I reply back.
"Then we're gonna gate crash their wedding with Rahul, Aahana and all them," He says.
"Okay..." I say. I walk up to my car and unlock it. Both me and Uday get in; Uday in the drivers seat. He starts the engine but then Aahana knocks on the window.
"Aahana?" Uay asks.
"Yeah it's me. Don't you think you should tell Manyata the complete truth," She says.
"I already have..." Uday says.
"Oh really?" She says, raising an eyebrow. "I think you should spill all the beans."
"But how did you know..." Uday asks her.
"I have a feeling that you haven't told us the whole truth yet," Aahana says. Then Aahana and Zayn go into the back seats and Uday stops the car.
"Okay... I have been hiding this for quite a long time," Uday starts off. "I'm... I'm..."
"Carry on Uday, stop it with the suspense," Aahana says. "This isn't a film."
"Shh..." Zayn says.
"Sorry," Aahana replies back.
"Okay, I'm the Prince of Jaipur..." He admits.
