"Khushi I told you to call me when you get there" Arnav talked to Khushi in an authoritative tone filled with concern.

"Yes sir, I know you did" Khushi just laughed it off like no big deal.

"I'm not joking"

"Arnav I just landed here and I was going to call you" she tried explaining to him.

"Okay" he said believing her but he wasn't satisfied. "How was the ride?"

"Ahh" she screamed into the phone dramatically "don't ask this weird uncle was sitting behind me and apparently his name was Masala Mama, he just wouldn't shut up and I think he had some memory problems and dude his tries to speak English were hilarious and he kept on kicking me from behind."

Arnav just laughed at her details of the whole situation and how she was describing every little thing.

"Alright Arnav, I got to go but I'll talk to you later, take care && stop acting like my dad" she told him knowing very well he would know she is joking.

"No beta" he said mockingly to annoy her.

"Love You, Bye"

"Love you too && don't play your stupid pranks of yours on anyone because I won't be there to save you"

She laughed and hung up the phone.

It was a Friday night, and it was the first Friday night without her, he was so used to being around her, he decided to go out.

Walking down the street to their favorite club, he saw a little jewelry shop and remembered how Khushi had bargained with the lady for an hour to decrease the price from '20 to '18.

"No ma'am I am not paying  '20 for that."

"But this is a special bracelet with intricate work on it.'

"How about you bump the price down to  '10"

"I can't do that" the lady tried explaining it to Khushi

"Okay, how about  '12?"

"No, you probably won't find a bracelet like this anywhere else; the work on it is so beautiful and complex."

"And that's exactly why I want it, right"

"Yea, and its  '20"

"No, how about  '13?"

"Look, you don't understand, this is a special bracelet and it's  '20"

"Aww, your hair is really pretty, where'd you get it done?"

"Really, Thanks, my friend is a hairstylist."

"Oh cool"

"So about this bracelet,  '14? How does that sound?"

"NO, It's  '20!!!"

"Well, I guess than I'm not giving you any business today, I mean something is always better than nothing, and what if no one else buys this bracelet, you're going to be in for a big loss, but ehh?! Who cares right, I'll just buy something from the other jewelry store."

"Look, no wait, how about  '19"

" '19 that still sounds a little expensive to me  '18 and we have a deal."

"Look.."

"Well, I guess I'm leaving then"

" '18 it is"

Khushi gave her trademark smile and got the bracelet

"& Arnav this is how you bargain"

"You wasted like 2 hours here"

"Who cares?! Not like you have a life"

"What the?!"

"I'm just kidding" and saying that they both broke into laughter.

Arnav sat at the bar all alone, feeling bored, it wasn't like he didn't have friends, he did, plenty but him and Khushi would always go out together, none of his friends were like Khushi.

"Hey sexy" A girl in her 20's walked up to him, she had beautiful golden brown skin, and magnificent eyes, her legs long and slender, and her smile showing off her pearly white teeth. She was ravishing, her purple knee length dress made her skin look more radiant and her 5 inch heels elevated her height more.

"Hi" he said to seductive beauty in front of him.

"Lavanya" she said putting her hand forward

"Arnav" he replied

"It's a Friday night, and you're sitting here all alone bored?"

"Yea.. it's" he said shaking his head like it wasn't a big deal.

"You're here all alone too" he stated a fact rather than asking a question.

"Me & my boyfriend broke up a couple days ago, and I thought it was time to move on rather than just sit there and cry about it like a helpless girl."

"Oh" Arnav honestly didn't know how to reply to that.

"Did you break up with your girlfriend too?" Lavanya asked laughing

"Kinda, she had a great job opportunity back in India, and our friendship is more valuable than anything."

"Aww, well Good Luck to her" Lavanya smiled.

"Yea"

They both talked on and on and they didn't know where the time fly to.

"It's getting boring and hot in here you want to leave" she asked him

"Sure"

They both walked out together, something overcame the both of them that he held her hand in his and she reciprocated, they walked having no clue where they were heading to.
